Karkat stood beside Nepeta as they walked around Derse. He had just been informed that his normal self has been in a coma. "When did that even happen?"
Nepeta held her hands up in an "I-don't-know" sort of way. "I honestly don't know; I found out a few minute before I fell asleep."
"So," Karkat looked around, thinking of what to say next, "I guess I'm stuck here with you?"
Nepeta blushed. "Well, yeah, but you don't have to be, it's your choice."
Karkat raised an eyebrow, and smiled. "So you wouldn't mind if I, say, hung out with Gamzee?"
Nepeta's eyes widened. "No, Karkitty, I was joking!" She said, a little too quickly. Karkat frowned. She seemed panicky and nervous all of a sudden...
He decided to change the subject. "So what's Derse like, usually?"
Nepeta shrugged. "Purple."
Karkat rolled his eyes. "I gathered that, but what else is it like?"
Nepeta looked up, like she was thinking about it. "That's it, really."
"What do you guys even do for fun, then?"

“Nhf-Fuckin’ what the hell?”
Karkat’s eyes shot open as he sat up rubbing his eyes. His eyes wandered over to the clock.
“Jegus its fucking two in the morning ass face, couldn’t you fucking-” he looked over at the door way and saw a teary eyed Nepeta standing in his door way. He sighed and sat up a little more.
Nepeta looked down, wiping her eyes, she tackled him into a hug and started to sob in his chest. Not knowing what to really do, Karkat lazily wrapped his arms around her and rested his chin on the top of her head.
“Hey…come on now…shhhhh….” He gently started to rub small circles in her back while she sobbed.
Karkat kissed the top of her head and pulled her close.

Jack was making his way around the town when he saw a few fairies zip by, their faces filled with concern and sadness. He sat up from his casual perch from the top of a Church building, his eyes narrowed with concern. What's wrong with them? He wondered with a frown, watching a familiar fairy float by his face. "Baby Tooth!" He called, taking his beloved staff and leaping off the roof, starting to follow his little friend.
She turned, her duel colored eyes fogged and sparkling with confusion and concern, mirror her siblings. It only pained the newer guardian more to see her face so sad, Is...is Tooth okay? He lowered his eyes at the thought, trying to piece it all together.
"What's happened? Where's Toothiana?" The white haired boy asked, hovering before the hummingbird like creature, looking at Baby Toot
Prescription Heartsight: TwoYou've been talking to this Egbert kid for months, but you've still only seen him once- when you were half blind without your prescription sunglasses, so you still haven't really 'seen' him, and you guess you'd really like to change that. "I don't know, this looks dangerous..."
"Look, I know what I'm doing."
"What if it doesn't happen?"
"Oh, pleathe, with thothe guyth, at leatht one of them ith going to try it."
"Not you, the otherth..."
"It just seems a bit far-fetched."
"Look, I know what I'm doing, okay?"
"I hope for his sake you do..."
Karkat slowly opened his eyes. Where am I? he thought. He sat up and took a look at his surroundings. Everything was purple. Could it be?
Karkat turned his head to see multiple small black aliens walking by. I'm on Derse, he thought. But how? Maybe the one of the trolls had the answer. Equius? No. Eridan? Uh, no. Gamzee's to high to comprehend anything. Fef, maybe...
Karkat sighed. Gog, how long has it been like this? He thought. He thought about going to her and smiled. He was flushed for her, no doubt, but he doubted she was flushed for him. Being a shipper complicates things.
Dream Defying Chapter 2Nepeta woke up on her bed and yawned. That was the best sleep she had gotten in a while. She sighed. Karkat's so nice, she thought. I need to tell him when he wakes up...Dream Defying Chapter 23 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
But whenever she thought this, she remembered Terezi.
Nepeta felt tears beginning to well up in her eyes. Terezi obviously liked Karkat, and he probably felt the same way.
Nepeta grabbed her head and groaned. What is wrong with me? Terezi was her friend; she should be happy for her if Karkat is flushed.
But why didn't she feel this way? Because I love him, she thought.
She forced this out of her mind and walked into the lab. The only others in there were Gamzee, Sollux, and Terezi. Gamzee was carelessly dancing in the middle of the room. It appeared that Sollux and Terezi were having a conversation. Tears were creeping down Terezi's cheeks. "Are you sure?" She asked, her voice warbling.
"Yeah, I'm thorry." Sollux said.
"How can we find out?"
"It may take a little bit. We don't know of he'th there or not"

Chapter 15 Caves
“You got extra clothes to change into?” asked Marshall Lee curiously. I shook my head, going back to the clothes I changed out of. He walks over looking through some of the things on the ground. He hands me a shirt of his, smiling. “It’s not much, but it’s better than your dirty ones, right?” I nod, taking the shirt, but it still meant I had to wear my dirty pants, but it wasn’t as bad is it could be. At least it could have been worse.
Marshall Lee spins around, respecting my privacy. It took my cloak off then quickly on my bra and underwear, still thinking that Marshall Lee could spin around. Sure, I knew he said he wouldn’t turn around, but I knew him. It sounded like something he would do when I didn’t expect it. I put on the shirt he gave me; it was just a plain blood red t-shirt. It wasn’t that bad. I slipped it on, and it went down, covering everything I needed it to, but to be safe
WaltzIt was Christmas eve, and up in the North Pole, Nicholas St. North was getting ready to host his annual Christmas party. He had finished his job earlier than usual just to host the party, and he had made sure that everything was in place. North's factory had been decorated with millions of twinkling multicolored lights and never-melting ice and Christmas trees decorated with glowing ornaments and baubles. An orchestra of Elves and Yetis were assembled in the corner and were providing the music for the evening.Waltz3 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
Somewhere in the factory palace, Jack stepped out his quarters that North had provided him for the night, pulling at the tie around his neck with apprehension. The suit was a little bit uncomfortable in comparison to his usual hoodie and pants ensemble, and so were the shoes. In all honesty, he wouldn't have worn the fancy outfit if not for the group of Tooth's minifairies that had kidnapped him and stuffed him into it. He stopped in front of a mirror to check his reflection. A d

Chapter 16 Badgering
We exit the safety of the cave, and we survey the area. Now I was pretty sure I was going to need the bottle later, just by the feeling I had now. Although, everything seemed okay. We didn’t see any guards or horses. Gumball’s carriage was nowhere to be seen. I was just being paranoid, we were going to be okay now. I just wished my stomach would listen to reasoning. I look to Marshall Lee who smiled, obviously just trying not to make me worry. I look back in front of us, looking where we were, it wasn’t that far of a walk to the caves. We would be safer there, right? What if there was an ambush? No, they would have checked for us there already, right? Oh my glob, what if they were there waiting for the three of us? No! We were going to be safe there! So said my mind anyways. Damn my stomach.
“Bunny, you okay?” asked Marshall Lee worriedly. “You need me to carry you?” I shake my head, I didn’t nee

My smile no longer shrouded in sincerity.
It is like a heartbreak masquerade, fooling everyone;
Exhausted, I remove my mask when the day is done.
I'm a professional at what I do: I hide what I feel -
When I get hurt, I pretend like it is no big deal.
In reality, it's killing me; feel my heart breaking
The sad part? My friends don't know that I'm faking.
I can't remember the sound of my laughter any more;
Feels odd when I smile, like I've never done it before.
My heart soaring with joy - well, that feeling is gone
Dreaming about another guy that isn't you feels wrong.
It is like I am cursed, you never leave my mind
However, you - you didn't pause, just left me behind.
It feels wrong to see you and still feel butterflies
My heart still racing when I look into your eyes.
My head keeps spinning when you're in the vicinity
Even after all the feelings left, I can't feel happy.
I smile, not sincerely, but just to show you I'm fine,

Glasses were for losers, and that was pretty much you're main reason. There was no way you were going to walk around town with 5 pounds of plastic on your nose, assuming they'd be thick as hell. But when you start walking into shit in the middle of the day, you knew something was going to have to be done.
As a person graced with the genetic fuck-up known as albinism, you were already hypersensitive to light, but now your actual sight itself has gone to shit.
So you did a little research on eyewear, and it turns out that prescription sunglasses were a thing.
As much as you didn't want to, you were going to have to seek out your brother.
