Art History Project- Welcome to Artisan Crafts!December is all about Artisan Crafts, baby! We are very excited to bring you a month full of articles, interviews and features about this wonderful world. But before we begin, what is exactly an artisan craft?Art History Project- Welcome to Artisan Crafts!2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
An artisan craft is a physical object made by an artisan completely by hand and usually in small quantities. Being an artisan, or a crafter, is being an artist that excels in the techniques of producing anything from a delicious meal to a deadly sword, from a cozy scarf to an adorable embroidery, from an elegant dress to a complete living room, from a cute plushie to a perfectly accurate doll, and so on.
Halloween Artisan Craft FeaturesHappy Halloween everyone! While for some of you Halloween was yesterday (it's still 31st for me), I still wanted to make a feature of awesome Artisan Crafts about Halloween, after all it's always time for good art!Halloween Artisan Craft Features2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
I was really happy to find that there's something Halloween related in pretty much all the galleries, my fellow crafters you never cease to amaze me with your talent, dedication and creativity
What's your favorite Halloween craft? Did I miss anything? Leave me a link and I'll check it out!
An easy wire-wrapping tutorialWhen it comes to making jewerly, especially silver, wire-wrapping technique is one of the nicest consider the availability and costs of the materials (it definitely beats Art Clay Silver at these points). But before you get silver wire and start making such fabulous pieces like the ones I've featured in the end, it's good to take your first steps using something cheaper - and here comes the copper wire - and making something simpler, to get used to this lovely technique. An easy wire-wrapping tutorial2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
This tutorial I originally posted on my blog a couple of months ago and I thought about sharing it also here.
This is what we're planning to get.
First of all, we need stones - the more regular they are, the better. No need to think about any super duper expensive ones now (: I collected most of them in my garden, there are also parts of my old broken earrings and a small glass ball. We also need sharp pincers, round pincers and a wire, 0.6mm or thicker, 40cm at least. Copper wire i

FAQsAre your commissions open?FAQs4 years ago in Personal More Like This
My commissions are pretty much always full. I take 40 slots every 4 months or so, but my slots fill up within seconds after I post that I'm taking new orders
How do I know when you'll be taking order?
I always post a journal update about a week before I open with the date, time and a countdown to when I'll be taking new orders. Just keep an eye out for that!
I messaged you exactly when your commissions opened why didn't I get a slot?
That would be because I get a high volume of notes at that very second, and although I'd love to take all the commission requests I'm only one person and I can only take 40 orders at once to avoid overworking myself.
Do you take point commissions?
Sadly points cannot pay my fabric, so therefore I can't accept point commissions.
How do you make patterns?
I learned how to make patterns by studying patterns that were available for free online and by starting small and simple then working my way up

Hi there! I actually passed 2000 watchers a little while ago, but better late than never. Anyway, I wanted to say THANK YOU, and I thought it would be fun to do a little giveaway too. I'm phasing out my old hand-colored dragon keychains for printed versions (trust me, they look much nicer). So, since I'd like to put the extras up on Etsy but need to figure out the shipping specifics, one lucky winner is going to be my shipping guinea pig.
The winner will receive this cute little double dragon keychain:
This giveaway will remain open until 11:59pm Friday September 5th, Pacific time. The winner will be chosen via random number generator and will notified by note. I will also post the result to this journal entry. The winner will have 24 hours to respond with their mailing address. If they do

Each female Nara can give birth to 7 litters. Males have unlimited breeding slots.
a note on slots: if you buy a slot from a cat who has earned his/her breeding rights you can use that slot at ANY time. even if the cat is sold to someone else you keep that slot.
Firstly: You MUST earn 20 points on your own (no commissioning or such) in our Karma Art system to breed your nara. 20 points per Nara. if you SELL a cat, the new owner MUST earn the 20 karma points as well. Thsi is to show you really DO have an investment in the cat.
Once the 20 Karma is earned please note the group with proof of 20 karma (links to the art) and you will recieve a Narasingha breedign license to that cat.
Females can only be bred once in a real life month.
Second: just send the group a note with a link to the two Naras you want to breed. We'll roll how many cubs and their genos. Design the cubs, put them in stash, and reply to the breeding note wi

You are a very successful artist, what do you believe are your most important features that made you pop out of the crowd?
That’s a tough one Personally I think the most important thing is that you need to love what you’re creating. Always put your heart and soul in your creations and make them for yourself, not for public.
What do you want to express through your artworks? What inspires you the most?
The answer is really simple – my soul. I always express my vision of beauty through my artworks. Beauty is everywhere and I capture it the way I see it.
In your opinion, the quality of your art depends more
