Just felt like sharing some photos after having a different couple butterflies visit my garden. And i got really excited (a calm, excitement mind you, since i don't want to scare any visitors off) since i grew these flowers to attract butterflies and it seemed to take a while before i had any visitors.
Now here we have the Western Tiger Swallowtail. And it decided to choose my flowers for a nice rest stop...though unfortunately it seemed to be it's final resting place as we found it unmoving the next day. But maybe it decided to leave some eggs? Just being optimistic here. ^^
Canvas: 12" x 16" Paint: Acrylic Game: The Legend of Zelda Sprite: Link in field
I've never beaten this game, but oh man did I like it. And geeze, I'm really starting to love these landscape pictures I've been painting. The zelda games is something I've been meaning to do for a while, but I always felt that the feel of the games comes from the vastness of the area around you, and the paintings wouldn't be good and told true to the series if it didn't give you some form of sense of that.
Thanks for the DD #dAVillage! I really appreciate it! ^No it's not a actual dA DD, but a DD for that group.
"If life seems jolly rotten There's something you've forgotten And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you're feeling in the dumps Don't be silly chumps Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.
And...always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the light side of life... " - Monty Python
I'm listening to the Spamalot soundtrack.
I had the need to draw a cat today so here is Cinnamon for you all.
Canvas: 24" x 8" Paint: Acrylic Game: Pokemon 3rd gen + Pokemon 5th gen Sprite: Flareon, Jolteon and Vaporeon
This turned out seriously well, and better than I thought it would. The shading on jolteon was a little shotty at first, but when it started to work, it brought it all together.
This painting is a gift for a friend of mine, and a bit of a test for this style of painting, 3 separate paintings in one longer canvas. I think I've fallen in love with the style, and will do a couple more like this one!
