The Element of Betrayal -Ch.4-As Applejack was walking back to the house after a hard day's work, she spotted that familiar rainbow-colored streak across the sky heading towards her. She set her basket of apples on the ground and started to walk to where she assumed she would land. They both met next to each other. The Element of Betrayal -Ch.4-3 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"Hey, Dash." Applejack said. "How'd the, uh, situation go?"
"Not so good." Rainbow Dash said matter-of-factly. "Twilight doesn't approve of the relationship, and I think she's still mad at me."
"Relationship? You mean..."
"Yes, Applejack. I... I think... Spike and I..."
Applejack smirked confirmingly. "Well, that's good, I guess. Now just you let me talk to Twilight for you. Maybe I can convince her to let you back into her life."
"I never meant to hurt her."
"I know sugarcube. I know." Applejack said in her comforting voice. "You need to stay here again?"
"Naw, I'll be fine. Besides, my house should be parasprite-free by now." Rainbow Dash took off, leaving a faint rainbow trail behind her. Applejack we

"Spike, listen, I wanted to talk to you." Rainbow Dash said, in a calm manner that goes against the grain of her usual personality. "Hop on, let's go for a ride."
Spike climbed onto her back and grabbed onto her neck as she stretched out her wings and lowered herself into take-off position. She bucked her hooves off the ground and started flapping her wings, going at an atypically slow pace for her (little more than running speed).
Without taking her eyes off the trail, Rainbow Dash begain to talk. "Listen, Spike, about what happened last night... how did you feel about that?"
"I thought it was great. I finally got to know you better. I really like you, Rainbow Dash."
"What do you mean, you like me?" Rainbow Dash said, fearing the very same answer she was hoping for. "Do you like me like you like... Pinkie Pie, or do you like me like you like Rarity?"
"Well... neither. It's like... I don't want to s

Chapter 2: Please Ask For Help
The next day, Celestia's sun rose over the land to wake its inhabitants. In the outskirts of town, Fluttershy was doing her normal morning ritual in her cottage. The yellow pegasus was feeding all of the residents in her home, from the birds to the rabbits, and to the chickens to the cats. She hummed a simple song, to which all of her friends joined in. However, their tune was interrupted by an unexpected knock at her door.
"Oh, I wonder who that could be?" the mare asked herself meekly as she trotted towards the door to open it.
On the other side of the door, there was a nervous and frantic orange earth pony with a brown hat on her blonde mane. It was Fluttershy's good friend Applejack. She seemed on edge.
"Oh, hello there, Applejack. This is a pleasant surprise," Fluttershy began with a smile, "would you like to come in for breakfast?"
Applejack wasted no time with her words, "Fluttershy! Ah nee
The Element of Betrayal -Ch.2-The next day, Spike awoke to find Twilight Sparkle deeply engrossed in a book. She still had that solemn look on her face. Even though Spike was at the mercy of a fairly painful hangover, he still remembered everything that happened the night before. He even remembered Twilight's sigh of disappointment right before she went to bed. Another thing he just remembered: that letter she wrote. The Element of Betrayal -Ch.2-3 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Spike was filled with dread at the thought of what could've been in that scroll. He also felt regretful: He had it right in his hand, he could've read it to make sure, or at least keep it from being sent. Most of all, he felt guilt. He felt he had done his friend, basically his only family, a terrible wrong. Twilight was still reading her book, not even giving Spike so much as a glance.
Spike walked out of the room. He had that horrid feeling in the pit of his stomach you get when you know you're going to be punished. Spike knew that if Princess Celestia found out what happened between him and Rainbow

"Hey, Twilight, could I ask a favor from you?"
Twilight looked up from the book she was reading and smiled at Rainbow Dash welcomingly. "Sure, Rainbow Dash. What is it?"
Rainbow Dash looked at her saddlebag nervously. "Well, I have a letter I'd like to send somewhere, and, well, seeing as how I live in the clouds, I don't really have a fireplace I can send it through, so... Do you mind if I asked Spike to send it for me?"
"Why certainly, Rainbow Dash. Oh, Spike!"
The baby dragon ran down the stairs quickly. "Yes, Twilight? What can I do for you?" he asked, as eager to help as always.
"Rainbow Dash has a letter to send and has asked for your assistance."
"Wow, really? Mine?" Spike asked, eyes sparkling as he looked at Rainbow Dash.
"Yup," Rainbow Dash answered. "I don't have a fire of my own, so I thought I'd ask my favorite dragon for some help. I'm pretty sure I addressed it properly..."
"Well, just in case, can I ask who I'm sending it to?"

Night had fallen across Equestria and the full moon had risen. While most of Ponyville was off celebrating the Apple family's victory over the Flim Flam Brothers and their cider-making machine, one lone red stallion was still on the farm. Big Macintosh was one the kind of pony that didn't rest until everything was done for the day, and after the challenge from the Flim Flam Brothers, a part of Sweet Apple Acres was quite a mess. He had to first dispose of the bad cider that was made. He then from there had to break down all of the barrels that held the cider down into nothing but planks of wood since they could not hold any cider without the awful taste of the bad cider. It was time consuming work and took him until late to finish the task. Even after that, he still had more work to do, cleaning up the mess made by the machine. Twigs, bad apples, and leaves were in a pile where the machine once stood and empt

"I know, Spike, but there's no reason to let anything bad happen to you. The goblet Princess Celestia wants me to find is deep in the Evertree Forest, and I wouldn't want us to get seperated and have you run into a cockatrice or something."
Twilight continued to pack.
"Besides, you shouldn't be lonely; Rainbow Dash will be here all night."
"Not by choice, mind you." Rainbow Dash stated while scanning the library for anything that would catch her interest. "Apparently, there was a parasprite hiding in my walls and it multiplied, so Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie have to escort them all out of there. They say it's going to be an all-nighter."
"But..." Spike started, but stopped himself, because he knew it would be no use. Twilight started out the door.

Chapter 4: I've Been Waiting
Celestia's sun rose into the sky, allowing for the dawn of another day to begin in the town of Ponyville. Fluttershy was already beginning her busy morning routine of mending all of all her animal friends. She happily hummed as she unwrapped a bandage from a blue jay's wing. Smiling, she told the small bird to try it out. The bird flapped its wings and took off around the living room before returning the pegasus, landing on top of her pink mane. Fluttershy smiled as she stood on her hooves.
"I guess we can let you return outdoors, if you would like Mister Blue Jay. Allow me to get the door for you," the yellow mare spoke as she made her way to her front door. When she opened the door, she was surprised to see a red stallion paused with his hoof in the air as if he was to knock on the door and a basket in his mouth. It was Big Macintosh.
The blue jay had flapped its wings and left the two ponies alon

Chapter 1: Toys and Troubles
Why am I here? Shadow thought, more than a bit annoyed. He disliked large crowds, which is exactly where he found himself on this busy winter morning. It was December 22, and anxious last-minute shoppers were scurrying throughout the shopping district of Central City to find the perfect gifts. In the middle of this mess were two hedgehogs, a fox, and one very disgruntled Ultimate Lifeform.
"Why did you have to drag me along with you on this pointless trip?" he half growled.
Sonic grinned over his shoulder at him. "Aw, come on, Shads! Show a little holiday spirit!"
Shadow glared in return. "Don't call me that."
Sonic shrugged, exas

Spring was in full swing for the land of Equestria. Throughout the town of Ponyville, All of the citizens were enjoying the beautiful weather. Whether it was from working in the fields to relaxing at the park, they all basked in the warmth of Princess Celestia's sun. At Sweet Apple Acres, it was just another day of bucking apples from the many trees that covered the farm. Near the giant red barn, an apple tree shook and its apples fell from it into a yellow bucket. An orange mare with golden yellow hair, a brown Stetson hat, and emerald green eyes stood with a tired, but proud look smiled at the full bucket. She placed the bucket amongst one of the few empty spaced, and made her way out. She
