StopI don't know if I'm strong in body or soul.
I don't know if the pain I feel is just a grain of salt to hold.
I don't know who I am, or what I can be.
I don't know if you will hear the words that can not be let free.
I can see the pain in your eyes,
Why can't you see mine?
Is it selfish to wonder,
If happiness can really be mine?
Am I greedy, envious, and proud beyond what is seen from me?
Am I a selfish little bugger who is just a sin to see?
Should I cave my flesh and soul to the way I wish?
Can I do so without destroying my friend's bliss?
Is this a tune you've heard before?
Will you listen anymore?
How long will it be till you stop,
And no longer listen to people who have dropped?
The bodies of the dead fill the street, though their organs are still working.
We are the sloth of the world, caring not for the people in the sun light lurking.
How much is left of us and who we might be,
Is there any hope left for the people like you and me?

I've always loved trees, there are far better to sleep on then the ground. Silk is perched above me, as they always do. The clear, emerald like color which defined each scale hid them well in this tree. Their scales always intrigue me, they seem transparent, yet solid at the same time, and differ in color, never one tone.
"A Ab A# B" They hummed to me.
"No, I will not. We are in a town, I don't want anyone to hear."

"Why don't you sing me a song then?" I retaliated.
"Okay, but if anyone is annoyed, it's your fault." I gave in.
Pulling out my violin, I began. First I started out with a slow tune, building on the drama and sorrow with occasional fast movements of quick flats. Holding out a D, I began a faster pace song with less flats, but no happy sharps yet. Gradually I built up the speed, until my fingers where flying off the strings as soon as they would land, and there I put in the joy. It was then that Silk brought in a co

The one who fakes my grace?
Who am I?
Am I the pain I try to hide,
Or is this pain who I am inside?
Who am I?
The silent one with no hope,
Or the hopeful one with no silence?
Who am I?
Just a body of flesh and blood,
Or is there a soul living in this mud?
Who am I?
Can I be who I want,
And be there for my friends?
I think not.
Who am I?
I'm who you want me to be,
At least, for now.

Chapter Twenty One
Back to Crystal
Fight after fight ended in a blur, for not much reached me in my vengeful daze. Only the hate the that fueled this onslaught kept me alive. But soon that faded as my blood leaked through my ever present wounds, filling me with a deep cold, chilling me to the soul. I returned to my human state, all thought and memory as gone as blue blood that had spewed from my broken, tired body.
I know not what had done it, for I could not register the motion, but something as fast as lightning slid through my throat, and found it's way past my spine. I felt no pain, I was unconscious before I could feel such a thing. Death set down its vast, ever loving wings to blanket my remains. Yet my loving death was pushed away, as a dark cloud descended upon me, and the angry, hateful live resurrected me. The cloud rebound my body, disintegrating the lost head, and reconstructed it on my neck. Pain like no other pulsed inside me as my blood was regain, an

I couldn't feel the pain on my throat though, for my vision blurred and my lugs ach too badly. The starvation of air was terrible, my brain felt as if it where decaying in my scull. I can feel the blood run into my lungs, and if I had enough air, I would likely be hacking it all up, lungs and all. Just as I felt either unconsciousness or death set upon me, I was let free. Kneeling on the ground, I couched lungful after lungful of blood on the ground. The taste of blood without metal is indeed an odd one. Something large and clumsy nudged my side, sending me to the ground in my weakened state. Still, I did not struggle, but looked up at my attacker. The dragon was obviously still young, for it looked bashful, and regretful. I have no doubt that if I had struggled, or try to fight back, it would have snapped my neck without hesitatio

When the urge to vomit had finally passed, she opened her eyes and found that the world looked much different. It was like she was in a great field with grass as tall as she was. It was late at night when she saw them leave, flying to the sky. Of course Crystal was unnoticed; she rarely was, just as she rarely slept. She had seen the whole thing, watching them fly, then shot, and watching her fall to the sea. But what could she do, she was only an Archive; little did they know who else she was. The ship had come, and taken Lady Riddle away, and she listened as Angel told the caption and crew what had happened. Crystal knew the beasts that had taken Riddle, the demons in the flesh of men. The captain told the crew of what they would do, where they would go; the Archive was soon going to sleep.
" she had gone when I came back." Said Angel, flustered and worried. The crew was listening closely, anger and fear thick enough to smell.
"Did ye see the ship, could ye describe it?" The captain asked.
"No, it was too far." Angle replied distraught, "How will we find her?"

I had been aboard the vessel for many days now, and we were too close to our destination for me to be discovered now, and likely tossed overboard by the merciless crew. Checking to see if the coast was clear, I climbed up a few crates and peeped out the porthole. Dusk was fast approaching and

I don't know why I tell you this, it's not like you care.
I would've been a legend if it wasn't for the time,
Age of heroes has come and gone, all I can do now is rhyme.
I would've made something of myself, if I'd had the motivation,
But now, I just lie in wait, awaiting even more degradation.
I could've been someone, or something, I know I could,
But right now, it's all talk, all "Could, should, would."
Then there's that "if" or that "but" getting in the way,
I could've been a masterpiece, but here I am, rotting away.
No one even gives me a second glance,
I'm not a famous one like Rembrandt's.
I could've been a masterpiece if it wasn't for the tear,
If only the people looking after me had taken more care,
I could've been perfect, and remembered forever,
But now I am just a portrait, of the Forgotten Reaper.

Where will we be in a few hundred years?
Will we be in tiny boxes living useless fears?
Will we be in the ground, never to be found?
Will you be remembered, for who you use to be?
Perhaps by a few, but never truly by me,
For how am I to know, someone I've never seen?
Time has flown by, it's to late for you and me.
Why do you live, when time will soon blink,
and you will be gone, faster then you think?

Wishing them happiness and love. “Goodbye” she said softly.
The Keeper followed Angel and the door disappeared right behind it. They were both no longer standing on the beach but in gray nothingness.

The fresh breeze felt good up against her skin. She closed her eyes and listened to the sound of the ocean. It sounded so peaceful. They were back on the little island where she first met the Keeper. A part of her didn’t want to go back, but she had two promises to keep. Sighing she turned and jumped slightly when she saw Reaper standing beside her. “What…what are you doing here?”
“Waiting for you to return, I knew you would.” he replied with a knowing smirk.
Angel stood there shocked at first and blinked. She didn’t know what to say. Reaper chuckled at the look on her face, which irritated her some. He reached out and hugged her. Angel stiffened instantly at the contact. Reaper frowned but didn’t say anything.

Have you heard a single word,

Who is it?
Can I help?
Come and sit.

Where are my goals,
Where is my hope,
Why do I hate,
Will I cope?

"Yes, but are you alright!" He said hurriedly, but confused. Looking at my arm dangling limply at my side, he was obviously in turmoil over what to say.
"Yes, don't blather on about it."
"I saw everything, but, what happened, how… is there a ghost or something?" He continued, too rapped up in his own thoughts to hear a word I was saying.
Slowly his idle musings graded on my nerves; but, talking through a second party, it was difficult enough to get the body to do what I commanded, let alone give the proper glare. So, to make it easier, I simply had it raise the voice and set a different tone.
"Quit you eccentric chatter!" Although the body rose the command to the proper amount of noise, it did not get the tone right, and rather then anger or threats to be displayed through it, it made it sound whiny and sorrowful.

I saw the end of everything, and saved the world with tiny plea.
