The two rainbow-maned, blue-coated pegasi stared at each other. Dash couldn't believe what she was seeing. She'd always felt she was unique: not just the tripe parents fed their foals about "everypony being special in their own way", but because ponies with naturally many-colored manes were fairly rare, and she had never met another pony that shared the same shades that were her namesake. Even worse... even worse, this pony was her – the same face, the same coat, the same rose-hued eyes she saw every morning in the mirror.
A wave of vertigo swept over her, as though she'd been riding a thermal a mile up and lost it suddenly, plummeting down; she scrambled to regain control, to stay calm, to figure out what the hay was going on.
This wasn't her. This... other self looked grimmer than she ever had: there was a hard set to her jaw, a tightness around the eyes, and the eyes themselves, well... she knew she'd never looked so cold and calculating. There was darkness there

Curtain Call sat restlessly upon his little boat on the ocean, staring out into the endless blue as the white-crested waves lapped the sides of his ship. He could hear the deep, steady breaths of the wizened, old stallion who had his back turned behind him, with a fishing pole grasped lazily in his hooves. His father, the farmer. The old stallion's eyes flickered for a moment, almost losing themselves to the bliss of a nice, afternoon nap, before shaking his head in protest, and returning to his usual, lax pose.
Curtain grumbled to himself with a slight twinge of irritation. Why exactly were they fishing, in the first place? After he had given his father the news that he was going to be engaged, the old stallion slapped a bucket hat upon his head and told him they were going to celebrate with a day out at sea. But, really, fishing was just a game for foals, harmless, rubber hooks inviting fish to play some tug of war. Surely he was too old for this?
But, apparently, his father was not,

A small patch of smoke shifted gently at Macintosh terrified shout. An end of the cloud rose, coalescing into a rounded shape. Two triangular wisps rose from the side of the shape and solidified into ears. The shape stretched forwards into a muzzle and diamond-like fangs appeared as the head completed itself. The rest of the cloud rose and lengthened, becoming the creature's body even as the remaining vapors flowed away, becoming four lean legs and a tail. Finally, a pair of amethyst eyes formed, completing the transformation.
The wolf-like creature let out a yawn and stretched. This was a cheocú, a creature of the fey, and in his panic Macintosh had awoken it. It sniffed the air tentatively. It smelled meat, unlike any creature it had hunted. But on top of that it smelled something else.
It smelled fear.
Regardless of where it had come, one thing was for certain - the new creature was afraid. The smell was unmistakable. The cheocú was

"It is time your highness."
"Well let's get going then."
Discord left the palace and headed out to a helicopter that was waiting to take him to the location of the project they had been working on for the last several months.
"Will these tests be painful?" Discord asked.
"They shouldn't. All we'll do is connect everything to you and get it set up."
"Very well. Let's do this. I'm in the mood for some grand scale chaos."
Whitemare AFB Conference Room
Both sides had been up since 6AM going over stuff and readying the peace accords and the plans to jointly go after Discord. The plan was to attack his forces in and around Gracemareia, as well as taking him out. Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy spent the time getting caught up. As soon as Pinkie heard they were together she made a bee line for the base, and was also talking to them.
"I can't believe we're back together! Well we are missing Twilight and Applejack but t

#49) I had a phase that lasted a few months in which I "enjoyed" the Rule 34 aspect of the brony fandom, mostly just clopping at night a few times a week and only to the R34. I started to grow out of this phase about a month or two back, and now I am completely grown out of it. The R34 no longer interests me and I've stopped clopping to it. I feel mostly relieved because of this shift, but when I look back on my clopping phase, I am dragged down by guilt and sadness and can't help feeling that I am a horrible, perverted person and the bane of the fandom.
Am I a horrible person for having liked the R34 and having been a clopper? This fandom means a lot to me and I don't want to think I'm one of its "bad apples".
Answer: Welcome back. It's interesting that you went through a 'phase' normally the sort of people who would masturbate to ponies wouldn't just 'grow out' of it, and so it's interesting that you one day suddenly seemed to lose interest in that side of the f

A continuation of EHL: Equestria Hockey League by XFizzle
Tension filled the air everywhere the Ponyville Golden Leafs and the Cloudsdale Red Wings went. Pretty much the only thing they could think about was the final game of the Royal Cup series, which would decide the champion of the EHL. Cloudsdale was already beaten last year after leading 2-1, and the Red Wings weren't going to let history repeat itself that easily. Ponyville, meanwhile, was ready to prove itself to the rest of the EHL and win their first championship. All of Equestria knew that neither team would roll over and surrender without a fight, so they knew this game would be the best one yet.
The teams both met two days after Game 4 for an important press conference, where they'd brief their audience about what to expect in the final game. Beary Melrose and Colin Cowherd acted as moderators during the conference. "Welcome, e

Dark wings and blackened clouds
are blotting out the sun
No more dreams, just nightmares bringing sadness
Disharmony and discord
The order of the day
Hope sent adrift in a sea of madness
Emptiness in everypony's heart
Broken and lost in the rain
An endless flood of suffering
An everlasting pain
Hear them shout
Calling to be saved
From all the fears
From all the tears
Time has come to be brave
Through dark plains of chaos we shine on so glorious
With the power of friendship that rests inside all of us
Elements of Harmony will bring the light that's so far away
And with it the dawn of a better day
On wings of steel, thundering hooves
Shimmering horns of light
With harmony to guide us
And illuminate all in sight
Onward into battle now
at the darkest hour
Never give up and never give in
Until victory is ours
Our dreams will never die
Like a phoenix, hope will rise
We stand strong as one all together
Galloping through fire
Flames getting higher
Our deeds thi

Consuming all you are
Eating away at everything
Pushing you so far
Soon it burns so strongly
You still dont know the name
It changes something deep inside
And you dont feel the same
You glare at them so whats the word
The one thats undefined
It makes you cold to everyone
Messing with your mind
Much more powerful than anger
To everyone its known
It makes the blood rush through your veins
Or chills you to the bone
The feeling continues building up
Searing beneath your skin
It passionately boils over
You arent who youd once been
You execrate all against you
And loathe them forevermore
Youll never escape this feeling
The hate down in your core

some place only I can find me,
some place where Im allowed my own way.
I am so tired of keeping my lips locked,
eyes glazed over,
and not giving my opinion on the spot.
I am so frustrated with feeling like this
like I am the only who knows,
just how easily I am missed.
I am so aggravated with feeling,
that my feelings,
are an invalid being.
And lastly I am done,
with standing by,
and letting others take a run.
Letting others take hits at me,
just because they can,
I am now deciding, who I am.
I am done,
with being a play toy,
I am done with being a ploy.

Anthem (Memory of the Empire)
Children of the Perished Empire…
The crystal spike
Emerged in the northern sky.
From thousand years of sleep
Woken the empire of past,
The world once perished and gone.
It looms in the north…
The echoes of cold dominance.
The king, the tyrant reborn
Waiting his renewed chance
To finish what had begun…
Drifting shells of the realm…
What's there… left… to protect…
What's left are filled with hurt and grief.
'Twas graying and tarnished,
The world they once called their home.
Despair and fear,
Tokens of slavery,
Left within the heartcells
In the lost, orphaned souls of the empire…
… Stand up by your own feet.
Whiteness, I rememberTwirling, you remind me of a jewellery box ballerina: elegant and poised. You are so steady, holding your position with precision. Such beauty did not prepare me for its rumbling. The mountains shook like the bowels of a monster, and thoughts of ballerinas were replaced by bomber planes. I squinted for the tell-tale wings and listened for the whirling motor.
That time it was actually a natural disaster.
A torrent of snow, iced teeth and titanium claws shred trees. The bystanders are consumed while they looked at you, raising their ski masks in disbelief. No frightening colours tarnished such a homogeneous white, giving the false appearance of calm.
If I were more optimistic, or perhaps more poetic, it appeared as if you had warmly enveloped them in a white blanket.
My surroundings explode into chaos, arms and legs searching for loved ones. Here, further a
