Jack FrostXReader~Part Four
As Christmas break passed, you only saw Jack every once and a while. Occasionally he'd come visit you in your room and you'd simply just enjoy the company of each other. He understood that you really didn't want to go outside, although he often tried to convince you to see the beautiful winter scenes he'd created; Which you'd just look at through your window. He still played with your sister outside, and you sometimes secretly viewed their snowball fights. Jack seemed to genuinely like making your sister happy, which was your favorite trait about him. As you got to know him better, you also found several other things you loved about him. You loved his half smile, his blue eyes, the way he always had his hands in his pockets, the taste of his kiss, and his sarcastic tone that reminded you of your own. It was all these little things and more that made you realize that you had fallen in love with the boy.
Soon Christmas break was gone, and you found yourself preparing your backpack for

You awoke feeling freezing cold the next morning. You thought for a moment that Jack had made it so, but in all reality you had just left the window open when you had crawled back inside. You stayed there for a minute under your warm covers, not willing to face the chilling air that it protected you from. Yet, you eventually had to get up and close the window or else it would simply make the room worse. Taking a deep breath, you threw off your covers. The cold blast hit you hard but you pressed onward to the source of this awful temperature. You noticed that there was a thick layer of frost covering the glass, and it only further reminded you of last night. You shook your head and shut the window tight, being sure to lock it.
After a quick hot shower, you went downstairs into your kitchen. You were about to grab a bowl when you realized that you had forgotten to do the dishes like your mother had asked you to! You quickly turned on the sink and began to rinse away the tough food sta

"(Your name), you found him. You found Jack."
The white haired boy smiled at your sister and she smiled right back.
"I don't care who he is, I don't want you near him," You said quickly.
"But-" She started.
"It's okay (sister's name), what do you say we show her a little winter fun?" The boy said with a smirk rewarded with several nods and a giggle from your sister. He jumped out of the tree and landed on the ground with surprising ease. In fact, he almost seemed to float down.
"No, you stay away from us," You said, pointing the stick at him. It wasn't much to defend yourself against the unusual creeper, but it would have to do.
However, you were no fighting master, and he swiftly took your wrists in both hands with no problem. Cold seemed to emit from his very skin and it traveled up your arm, causing you to stop squirming.
"L-Let go of me!" You said through your now chattering teeth. Why were his hands so cold?
"Oh, but we haven't even started to have fun yet!" He s

You had nearly forgotten what it was like to live a normal life. For the past two weeks, your life had been swirled in to a wonderful fairy tale. However, after the first week of school you realized that there were other things in life to worry about. You had school work to do, chores to be done, and your friends always called. You found yourself once again caught up in your life you'd been living before you met Jack.
He seemed to sense this as well. His visits that once occurred nightly became more and more spaced out. But when he did come, you would have short bursts of love for him that would slowly drift away until he returned to make your head spin again.
And so there you lay on your bed in the dark, pondering about your relationship with the winter spirit. It had been a snowy February which told you that tonight he would visit you, even though you hadn't seen him in nearly two weeks. There always seemed to be a spike in the winter weather when he came to see you. Even in

There you sat on your bed, browsing the internet with that empty look you almost always wore this time of year. It was Christmas break of course, time for cookies, lights and laughter. However, you found the break quite boring. You liked to keep yourself busy, and being snowed in nearly every year with nothing to do wasn't your idea of fun.
Your little sister on the other hand, loved the large amounts of snow. It was always falling this time of year, but she would always come and knock on your door yelling in that high-pitched voice of hers about the weather. She claimed that a boy named Jack Frost made it snow, and even went so far as to say she'd met him before. When she tried to tell you about her "adventures" with him, you would simply tell her to grow up. Imagination was good and all, but enough is enough.
Just as your sister left your mind to be replaced with other thoughts of the holiday season, her familiar knock came on your door.
"(your name)! It's snowing again!

Clink. Clank. Psssshhhhhh. Pop. Shuffle.
You lay on your couch, listening to the sounds of Jack rummaging through your kitchen as he whips up your breakfast, opening and closing just about every drawer and cabinet in search of the right tools. You haven’t heard anything break yet, which gives you a small amount of comfort.
No smoke or explosions, either. That’s always a good sign.
The smell of delicious food soon makes its way down from the kitchen and into your nose, encircling you. You take a long, deep breath, your stomach growling in response. Your mouth begins to water.
You hear a pause in the symphony of kitchen commotion. Jack enters the living room and sets up a tray next to you, just as you once did for him.
He doesn’t have his cloak on. He must have taken it off so it didn’t get in the way as he cooked.
“Almost ready,” he reports.
He flashes you a winning smile on his way out. You feel yourself blush, burying your face in your comfor

You ran through the falling snow, tears streaming down your face. The moon was the only thing lighting your path, though you didn't even know where you were going anyway. Suddenly your foot struck a rock under the blanket of snow and you plummeted into it's cold embrace face first.
Never in your life had you needed someone so bad.
You lay there, your cheeks stinging from the biting cold the snow offered. Not able to take it anymore, you sat up and buried your face in your knees. Eventually you would have to sum up some strength and go home, but that wasn't happening anytime soon.
Today had been the worst day the fates had ever decided to give to you. That morning you had walked in on another fight between your parents. Again it had been about money problems like it always was. You had tried to brush it off as you walked to school, but for some reason you felt this fight was different then the rest. When you got to school your boyfriend came to tell you he had some news. He ha

And yet, warm.
You’re woken up by this exceptional sensation sprawling across your forehead. Jack is standing above you, his left hand on your head as he checks your temperature.
“What’s the story, morning glory?” he says, smiling. He lifts his hand from your brow. “You’re warm.”
Feeling much better—though still not 100%—you shoot him a “no duh, I’m going to feel warm to you” look. He laughs in response. “You look a lot better. Here, I made you this. Drink up.”
In his oven mitt-ed right hand he holds a mug of (your favorite hot drink).
Your comforter draped around your shoulders, you sit up and take the piping hot beverage from him, wrapping your hands around it. He goes and sits down in the middle of the room, looking around and occasionally back to you as you sip away. The only sounds are that of the fire popping and sputtering in the fireplace.

A small dose of medicine and glass of water greet you as you open your eyes. The tray has been cleared of your dishes since you dozed off.
Still half-asleep, you prop yourself up just enough to take the medicine, laying back down immediately afterwards. Your nose isn’t bothering you as much, but you’re still feeling pretty weak and sickly.
You don’t even question how he managed to find the medicine.
You look over to the fireplace to see nothing but the fire dancing happily about. You scan around the room, trying to place where he may have gone off to so you can thank him for taking care of you.
Ah, there he is.
He’s standing in front of the window, leaning slightly onto the small sill and staring out into the city, not noticing that you have woken up.
No, not the city, you notice. His chin is slightly elevated. He’s staring up into the midday sky.
“Why?” you hear him quietly ask it. “Why won’t you talk to me? Tell me what

(This story takes place before Jack fell in to the lake, before he became Jack Frost.)
The winter air outside was cold and crisp, not making your job any easier. Your mother had asked you to feed the chickens this morning- or at least the chickens that were left. The harsh winter had taken many of their lives and the eggs that fed your family with them. Three little clucking chickens that were huddled in their pen came close as you spread out the feed out in front of them. They pecked at it quickly while you looked around.
It was a quiet little village with dirt paths covered in horseshoe prints and log houses. A few people were out doing their morning chores like you, some waving as they passed by. There were small white patches of snow from the storm that had taken the lives of many farm animals around town. This winter had been one of the harshest for all that lived there, along with your family. However, the town was nice and peaceful, and everyone helped out one another. Not

It feels as though you have a breath mint resting on your lips.
At first, you’re shocked. You don’t know what to do. What the heck is happening? You don’t resist, but you just stand there, motionless.
The subtle scent of pine trees hypnotizes you and you give in, becoming less rigid and holding yourself closer to him. You close your eyes as well. You soon find yourself lost in the odd yet wonderful sensations provided by the kiss.
It’s surprisingly warm. Cold, yes, but the soft warmth that lies beneath his touch is stronger in this intimate act. The outer coldness makes him taste slightly minty, making your lips tingle oh so slightly. The kiss is as soft as snow falling gently on your face.
You feel so safe in his arms, enveloped in his embrace, his body held tightly against your own. You forget entirely about the dark surroundings, lost in his inner light. Your heart is racing. You can feel his own beating just as hard.

It’s like he’s never seen a Christmas present before.
He’s standing there, hands now at his sides, staring at the gift like a deer in the headlights.
You hand it to him, but he doesn’t move a muscle.
His gaze shifts from the beautiful packaging to you, his eyes locking on yours.
“You really didn’t have to.”
“Just open it already,” you insist, shoving the present at him. You’re smiling wide. You can’t wait to see his face when he sees what it is.
Behind the excitement lies the small amount of worry that comes with any gift-giving. What if he doesn’t like it? What if it doesn’t fit? What if…?
You push the doubt away as he cautiously takes the gift from you. Giving you a final reprimanding look, he begins to unwrap it.
After the first tear, he seems to throw all reservation into the wind. A huge smile sprawls across his face. He carelessly tosses the scraps to the floor.

You slowly open your eyes.
Your bed is so comfortable. You snuggle with your blankets.
Wait, how did you end up in your bed?
Great, you think, your nose running. I’m sick.
You remember your day out with a certain winter spirit.
A day that you spent out in cold snow completely barefooted.
You wiggle your toes under your blankets.
Good, they’re still there and feeling normal.
Sneezing again, you swing your legs out from under the blankets and over the side of the bed, taking a seating position. You look down at your feet, blaming them for your less-than-healthy state.
You don’t remember putting socks on.
After your brief moment of confusion, something seems to click.
You recall falling asleep on the flight home. He’s the one who probably stuck you in bed and put socks on your feet. You smile slightly at the kind act.
Hold on. Then where are…?
As if directed by some unseen force, you look over to your dresser.

Once again, you find yourself in flight.
Without hesitation, Jack had snatched up your hand and leapt into the air, taking you with him. With the wind at your backs, the two of you shot off your porch and in the direction that the black wisp had disappeared off into.
You’d be enjoying it a lot more if you weren’t scared out of your mind. What is it that you’re chasing? What would you find when you caught up to it, if you did? You can’t shake the ominous feeling as it sits in the pit of your stomach, weighing you down as you zip through the sky.
Jack’s head is darting from left to right in search of any sign of your target. You stop on a rooftop as he scans the area, squinting slightly.
“Aha! There!” He points and takes your hand again, a new flurry of wind enveloping you. You have no idea what he’s talking about. You can’t see a single blip of black moving anywhere amongst the houses.

You’re screaming at the top of your lungs.
You had no idea that a storage bin lid on snow could travel so quickly.
Still facing backwards, you and your lid take a sudden right turn, narrowly missing what could have been a very gnarly crash into your neighbor’s house. You have a death grip on the edges of your “sled,” trying to turn around and avoid a trip to the hospital. You’re going way too fast for you to just put your legs out to stop yourself or to just bail. Nope, you’re stuck where you are.
All of a sudden, you feel a blast of cold wind.
Jack Frost is there, following you, flying parallel to the ground, his face only inches from yours as you continue to sled.
“Miss me?” He jokes, smiling widely.
Forgetting your predicament, you focus on him, lightly blushing from his proximity. “Where did you go?” you yell over the wind.
He jerks his head over you as if indicating something up ahead (or rather, behind you).

You nod and stand as he does.
Jangle bids you farewell as he rejoins the other elves.
You follow North through the building, trekking down long curving hallways, up a decorated stairwell or two—at which a white yeti with green eyes and a fire truck in its hands has to stand aside to let the group pass—and even through a couple of other rooms that just lead to more paths. At least, you’re pretty sure the man standing before you is Santa.
He’s dressed quite differently than in all the fairy tales and legends.
Looks a bit different, too.
He has maintained the basic facial features of the myths. You know, the jolly red cheeks that are round as apples and pink-tipped nose. He has piercing, clear blue eyes that sparkle with an inner light.
This is when he starts really differing from the Santa of stories. His eyes sit beneath a pair of extremely thick black eyebrows that are accented with a lighter grey here and there, the hair becoming longer at the curve, flaring up and out like the flames of a fire, giving the illusion that his eyes are opened wider than they really are.
Blond and dark grey highlights streak his otherwise white beard and whiskers, which stretch down to the end of his chest. The tips of the hair brush the top of a thick sash-like belt that has a pattern that matches the ones on the stained glass windows and found all aro

The boy's expression quickly changed from being relaxed to concerned. "Hey, are you alright?" He asked, rising into the air to get closer to her for inspection. Wait. You didn’t set your alarm.
“And now back to the music! This next one’s for all you sleepyheads out there who are STILL IN BED THIS LATE ON CHRISTMAS MORNING.”
Wow, that radio is loud. It’s as if the host is in your bedroom, yelling right at you.
Eyes still closed and wanting to sleep in longer since you didn’t get much last night, you halfheartedly reach up your hand, feeling for the snooze button on the clock.

You smirk ever so slightly at the meteorologist’s precautions, losing interest in the news as it goes from the weather to the main news anchors. You take another bite of cereal as you stare outside the nearby window at the snow and grey clouds that cannot wait to unload more.
There’s frost on that window, too.
Nothing like the one on your bedroom window, of course. This one’s more plain. Wondrous, like any act of nature, but still nothing like the art embroidering the bedroom’s view.
Nevertheless, curiosity gets the best of you and you get up to examine it, secretly wondering if there’s any little tiny design in it that you’re missing. You go over each part closely. Somewhat to your disappointment, you find nothing out o

You kind of wish someone had a stopwatch.
You just broke a world record for sprinting the distance to your house in the snow, the chilly night air biting at your face.
At least, that’s how it felt.
You burst in through the door, praying that he’s still there, still hanging on.
Much to your relief, Jack Frost is exactly as you left him.
You take a seat on the couch by his torso and pat his cheek in hopes that this attempt to wake him up will be successful. Which it isn’t. He doesn’t show even the slightest reaction, in fact.
“C’mon, Jack,” you say as you take out the blue vial that the Leprechaun gave you. You wave it in front of his closed eyes. “You need to take your medicine. It’ll help you. Please?”

A stream of ice whizzes by to your left, narrowly missing you and whatever it is that is carrying you.
