If the birds soaring though in the tangerine sky looked directly below them, they would find me resting on the edge of a cliff with my feet dangling off the edge. They'd sing my lover and I a melody which neither of us understand, but enjoy none the less. Waves crash below us, but I promised to keep him safe. Nothing bad would happen as long as we were together. The summer breeze kisses my face while the last remaining rays of sunlight reach out to me, casting a soothing, golden glow. "Promise you won't let it hurt me?" The person sitting next to me asks, peering down at the ocean below with fear written across is face. My partner is very different from I, yet in an oddly captivating and beautiful way. His erratic behavior always keeps me on my toes, but maybe that's what I like about us. Everyday
Where To Spend The Holidays- ZaDrBecause of Dad's hatred of Santa, my family doesn't really celebrate Christmas. That's putting it lightly. One time I brought in a Christmas tree ornament we made at school and Dad blew up.Where To Spend The Holidays- ZaDr3 years ago in Romance More Like This
Not that my Dad's craziness ever stops me and Gaz from having a great time! Sort of. I normally get Gaz a present of some sort and deliver it to her door. Then I run away before she comes out with MY present. I learned on year one of our tradition to never wait around for her to get to that door. I still have nightmares, sometimes.
This year Gaz went to her friend's house for Christmas Eve. (Yes, friend. It shocked me too.) And it's not like I want to stay around and listen to Dad's rambling about how truly evil the big jolly man really is all by myself. So I took off to Zim's.
Why did I pick Zim? Well, even though he hates me, he at least talks to me. And I think his dog-robot thing likes me. The combination of attention from an insulting green alien and a neurotic green dog thing would be WA

I can't decide whether I want to kiss you or hit you right now. And I guess since you're sleeping, I'll just "rant" on paper. It seems to be the safest and more neutral way to go.
What we just did... I'm not sure you get how serious that was. If you think kissing and cuddling was something...
When Irkens mate, they give their soul to their partner. It's so rare that I've never met a couple. Well, I've never met a couple because none of the past Tallests would allow any true contact with one another. They've always feared the bond; it's been said that it's the strongest thing known in all the universes. Irkens don't love. And when they do...
I guess you humans weren't incorrect when you said that love always win. Nothing comes between the mated pair, and anything that even tries gets instantly annihilated. The two are invincible. As are we.
I still can't believe that we're Tallests. When you came to my door
ZaDr short story: In the Dead of the Night"See there?" A gloved finger extended upwards towards the sky, as if trying to poke it's infinite black depths; an impossible task. Amongst millions of winking white jewels sprawled against the dark curtain of night, there was only one being pointed at. To many other stargazers, that one dot might seem like....well, just a dot. Not to this particular observer though. "That's my home. Irk." Zim explained, returning his hand to it's original spot at his side. Dib nodded, hanging off of each word and letter that flowed from the other's mouth. On an ordinary Thursday night, the two adversaries would most likely be engaged in a ruthless battle, but not today. You see, even engrossed enemies such as this Irken/human duo need a break once in a while, and they preferred to spend their time staring at the sky once the sunlight had made itself scarce. It was the one time they could finally burry the hatchet before having to dig it up come next morn.ZaDr short story: In the Dead of the Night2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

ZaDr short story: Fast FoodWe sat in silence. The smell of bubbling grease made me feel physically ill, and seeing it drip off the chins of people that were spread around the room forced a gag out of me. It was disgusting! How anybody could enjoy eating a dead animal soaked in fat was a mystery to me, but apparently not to the teen before me. Just as the others did, he gobbled down his meal as if he'd been starved for days. I had gotten my usual ice cream cone. It wasn't fantastic, but at least it didn't seem to be making me sick. Dib had finally finished grossing my out and now sipped on his drink. "You alright Zim?" He asked with a puzzled expression. I continued to glared at him as I had been since the moment we arrived in the filthy establishment. "You know, it's actually quite nice out today. Fairly warm, but not blazing. Just right for swimming, or maybe bike riding...." He babbled on about useless nonsense in his utterly annoying voice that some how comforted me. ZaDr short story- Not So Cold Hearted Afterall"Shit, Zim. What the hell are you doing out there?" Dib questioned while standing in the doorway. Warmth radiated from the large blue house, but the icy fangs of the winter wind quickly killed it off for anyone outside the oven-like shelter. On the television there was footage of a cozy fire burning, except the professor had rigged it to actually give off heat. It was one of his many fantastic illusions, just like what had become of his 'presence'. "Damn, you must be freezing. Hurry up and get in here, numbskull." The quivering Irken nodded quickly and stepped out of the cold, still shaking even after the door was shut. Wet, muddy boots carelessly marked the floor, but with Zim's entire uniform was frosted with flakes and his lips already slightly blue, it was understandable that manners weren't his main concern. The tension between him and his human nemesis had died down a fair bit over the years, so it was no longer a death sentence to run to Dib's house for protection. That's what Dib was telling himself as he crept along the cluttered ceiling atleast.
He let out a small yelp as one of the astray wires sparked a blue jolt of electricity and singed his skin. The robot below looked up at him with a smile on his face. "HI MARY!" he squealed in delight, waving his arm wildly, with as much force as to almost knocking himself off the couch. Dib blinked his wide eyes a couple times before realizing that Zim might've been close by. He pressed his finger to his lips, trying to hint to the robot. Surpringly enough it worked. GIR

A kid with strange green skin and black hair walked down the hall for the first time since last year. He was wearing the same red shirt, black pants, boots, and gloves he's worn since the fifth grade. He was a junior in highskool, and most of the students knew him well, for they had all gone to the same elementary skool, as well as the same junior high. However, the person who knew him better than anyone was his worst enemy.
"Dib," sneered the boy, stopping at his locker. A few lockers away was another boy, also a junior. He had spikey black hair, pale skin, and glasses that covered his baggy, sleepless eyes. He was dressed in a long, black trench coat, black pants and boots, and

I have no idea why I'm writing this. It's not like I'm gonna show this to you or anything. I just… need to get this somewhere other than my (completely normal-sized) head. So… where to start? I guess from the beginning.
Did you know that I was waiting for you to come? Well, I heard who I now know is your Tallest talking about sending you here. Looking back, it's kinda ridiculous to have thought that you'd immediately land in our town. But you did. Freaky, huh? When I first saw you… You wouldn't know this, but I was starting to doubt myself. I figured that Gaz hacked my signal and planted the message. After so long without seeing anything different, I started to assume you didn't exist. I began to listen to what everyone was saying about me. I'm so glad you came when you did!
Seriously, how did nobody get that you're an alien?! Green skin, no nose, outdated-as-hell look! (That you did a pretty good job of updating, by the wa

It was a quiet day. The biology class was working on a project on the parts of flowers. They were working quietly; the teacher was sitting at his desk, grading papers; his assistant was roaming between the tables, looking over their work. His long scythe-like devil lock bounced as he moved around. It was kind of entrancing. At least one boy in particular was enthralled by his hair.
This boy was sitting in the back, quieter than the rest who were talking in low voices. He was staring with gray eyes at him, tapping his pencil as he looked on.
The assistant turned around and glared at the

Everyone, except the heartless teacher, jumped at the sound and the sudden light that flashed across the sky right after. Zim groaned in his head. He had woken up to late for him to apply his daily amount of water repellent. Dib took his gaze off of the brewing storm to look at the alien on the other side of the room. Dib was shocked at the expression he saw on Zim; He was scared. Ms. Bitters slapped her desk with a ruler grabbing everyone's attention. Waking up with a headache was not one of the most pleasant things in the world. But it's possible because someone always has to find out the persons motives to proceed further. He's used it by now and now is not the time to be complaining. He groans into his pillow as he hand hits the annoying sound of his alarm clock ringing in his ears. He sat up slowly and stood up from his dark blue sheeted bed and looks at the mirror from across the room. His hair was a complete mess from last night, that horrible fight with his white bandages around his chest. The boy shudders at the thought, tracing an index finger across a long scar from the many fights that they both had dealt with.
Everything that they've done was just a complete waste of the humans time, though he doesn't realize it... yet. Noticing he hasn't placed on his glasses, a hand reaches over to grab it, closing his eyes and slowly places it on. He opens his hazel eyes slowly and frowns at the sight. Just as he saw bef

The only one that wasn't doing anything of the sort, slumped in his chair. He ran a gloved hand over his green face, a sharp contrast to rest of the class, staring at the clock. The green student, Zim, couldn't help but to wonder why his rival wasn't here for that duration. Usually the scythe-haired kid would running after him or stopping him, or even studying him. Anything to halt his conquer attempt over Eart

The boys were in Dib's room in their PJs, talking about different things. The green skinned one giggled again, and settled himself in the other's lap. Dib wrapped his arms around him.
"So, what do you have to tell me tonight?" he asked. Every sleepover, they took turns telling each other something secret/important. Zim looked at his hands.
"Uhm... Could I... Skip this week...?" he asked nervously. Dib blinked.
"You've never asked to skip before. C'mon, you must have something to tell me." The Irken buried his face in the other's neck.
"Dib... What would you say if I... said I wanted to be with you...?" The boy looked at him curiously.

"Ugh! I hate this weather!" Dib complained as he stood outside of Hi Skool, watching the rain fall mercilessly to the ground. He looked over at the Irken that stood to his left. Who, much to his satisfaction, was shorter than him. After four years of being on the planet the Irken had realized that his old attire had been deemed 'weird,' and in his attempt to successfully blend in with the humans he had taken the human with him to purchase clothing that was 'normal', which consisted of very dark colors. On every outfit Zim had stitched a pink insignia of his Irken empire. The invader had also customized a longer wig to hide his growing antenna.
After the shopping trip the two became something more- not enemies, and at the same time, they were not friends. Their relationship had grown into something like an
