Apocalypse Update: AustraliaThe Reapers have come. They obviously weren't prepared as the kangaroos are beating up brutes. Drop bears are ambushing unwary husks. The bunyips are dragging cannibals underwater. The snakes and spiders have teamed up and attacked the banshees as have the crocodiles, jellyfish and sharks. I haven't seen a single marauder escape their clutches. It's bushfire season on one side of the continent and flooding on the other. This is the worst Reaper invasion ever.

Idea 1. The Protheans still exist:
In ME it is revealed that the Conduit is a mini mass relay, so we know that the Protheans were experimenting with mass relay technology. It took the Reapers 600 years to wipe out the Protheans, they would only need a couple of million people (Perhaps a 1 colonized planet) to survive (Remember there are only 17 million Quarians in the Flotilla). The Protheans were also more advanced so we know that they could do it.
Idea 2. Best Seats in the House:
I watched a commentary on GameSpot (Tried find the link but I seem to have lost it). They said that the ending would have been better if they had ended it with Anderson and Shepard watching Earth from the Citadel. I like this idea with it going to a cut scene of the Crucible firing and the Reapers getting destroyed. Depending on player choice and Effective Military Strength.
Idea 3. Failure:

"Never leave me. Don't let me fall."
"I will catch you before that happens."
Shepard smiled and kissed him before settling back down on her side, her arms wrapped around him.
It was one year. One year today that she died. Commander Skylar Shepard died. Kaidan downed the vodka shot before motioning to the bartender for a refill. Her face. Her perfect face haunted his nightmares. How many times had he imagined that moment when she ordered him onto that escape pod? She had fallen and he wasn't there to catch her. He signaled the bartender for another shot. So many times he had thought he'd seen her, but it always turned out to be another woman. A stranger. The funny thing was that these woman never looked anything like her, sometimes their hair was the same shade of black or their eyes that deep piercing blue, but they were not her. They were not perfect. The bartender refilled Kaidan's glass without his prompting. He ha

I shifted in and out of consciousness at first but I soon discovered I had a bitch of a headache and I was pretty awake after that. How much did I drink? I cracked one blurry eye open. Where the hell was I? It looked like a makeshift hospital, but that couldn't be right. I groaned as the headache pulsed again.
"Doc, she's awake," said a voice.
I heard someone enter, their shoes clicking on the floor, "Commander, you're awake. How do you feel?"
I stared at them puzzled, I wasn't a commander, I wasn't even the leader of the Tenth Street Reds.
"Commander? I- I'm not a commander. Wouldn't be able to handle that," I mumbled.
"Can you tell me your name?" this time it was the doctor.
"Skylar... Sky for short."
"That's not right. She always introduces herself as Shepard."
I looked at the m
