More pop-culture maths fun. This one is just in time for the movie! Can't wait, I'm sure Joss Whedon is going to do a great job with the characters!

This is the first in a series of anachronistic science fiction designs I’ve envisioned. Imagine if science fiction characters produced or endorsed products but the ads/labels/etc were designed in the styles of the 1800s and 1900s. I call the series “Alt Future History”.

In this design, imagine if Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy from Star Trek TOS was an Old West huckster and was pushing his “magic cure-all” in the 1800s. This would be the label on his Genuine Snake Oil Elixir.

Trust me…with all the screwing around with the timelines and how often the Temporal Prime Directive has been broken, these make sense in some universe out there. ;)

This is the third in a series of anachronistic science fiction designs I’ve envisioned. Imagine if science fiction characters produced or endorsed products but the ads/labels/etc were designed in the styles of the 1800s and 1900s. I call the series “Alt Future History”.

In this design, imagine if Geordi La Forge from Star Trek TNG had retired from Starfleet in the 1950s and decided to open his own little garage, repairing starships. This design mimics the classic tin advertising and mounted display signs of the era.

Trust me…with all the screwing around with the timelines and how often the Temporal Prime Directive has been broken, these make sense in some universe out there. ;)

This is the second in a series of anachronistic science fiction designs I’ve envisioned. Imagine if science fiction characters produced or endorsed products but the ads/labels/etc were designed in the styles of the 1800s and 1900s. I call the series “Alt Future History”.

In this design, imagine if Montgomery “Scotty” Scott from Star Trek TOS was a mechanical tycoon in the early 1900s and had come up with a product in the vein of Marvel Mystery Oil or 3-IN-ONE Multipurpose Oil (or modern day’s WD40). This design mimics the classic tin advertising signs of the era.

Trust me…with all the screwing around with the timelines and how often the Temporal Prime Directive has been broken, these make sense in some universe out there. ;)
