My new character - german shepherd inventor and engineer Ludwig Singer. He's from the same universe as Zero, my old steampunk fox character. These two are friendly rivals and always try to impress each other with their new inventions. On this picture Ludwig is thinking about one of his ideas - a portable steam engine. Ludwig's family originates from Germany, but he lives and works in UK, as well as Zero.
I can't say that this drawing was quick, but I still didn't draw it for too long time And wow, I finally drew a complete background!
My newly completed personal character costume head. She is a hybrid of around two dozen animals, but is primarily feline.
She has taxidermy-style eyes and custom cast plastic teeth and latex nose. Her mane is custom-ordered 8-12 inch fur in 2 shades or purple with blue fibers intermixed. The markings are airbrushed with waterproof black india ink.
This head is unique in that with most of my fursuit heads the wearer looks out via mesh located near the eyes. This head, however, is designed to be viewed through the mouth. I did that in order to lengthen her neck so it looks suitably feral when added to a full padded bodysuit (which is being worked on now).
The mouth moves with the wearer's mouth. It is not sensitive enough to 'speak' (which looks silly anyways considering she has no lips to form sounds) but she can roar and gnash her formidable teeth at children with the best of them.
I took this photo using a combination of a halogen work light and a cool daylight florescent
