this be a guard dog. they're like.....really big D:> prolly taller than great danes (when on four legs and not counting the added height of the ears).
their mouths are bound a bit, so barking or chomping is difficult, but they can howl like mad and cause the enemy to lose hearing and become dizzy for a few moments. in combat, they also swipe with their long claws sometimes if anyone comes too close.

This is an illustration of the King in Yellow. An insidious being from the book "The King in Yellow" by Robert W. Chambers. If you have read the Repairer of Reputations you may notice a few things I used from that story. One there is the crown that the protagonist would get out of the safe and wear while looking at himself in the mirror each day. I also tried to get a certain look in the eyes. I'm not sure how to describe it, but in the story I had a certain image in my mind, and I think I came pretty close to what I wanted. There is also the few bits of the costume that represent a military uniform. Also in the repairer of reputations the protagonists cousin was suspected by him to be the King in Yellow. That cousin was a soldier, and the protagonist expressed distaste to the mans behavior and uniform. Chambers was a huge inspiration to H.P. Lovecraft and you can see that in his Cthulhu mythos. I'm not sure what I think about the added color, but regardless as to what looked better, black and white or color, I plan on doing another drawing similar to this, but with charcoal.

Sul'meck - Corpses possessed and mutated by demonic spirits, able to use it's sharp claws to rake and gorge it's prey to death.
Wall Raptor - Flying manta like demons that attach themselves to walls, ceilings, and such; able to spit bile that burns and blinds mortals; able to jump great distanceses as well as jumping on it's targets; its stinger produceses a lethal venom that if let untreated could lead to a slow painfull death.
Hollow - Emotionless, thoughtless, shells of lost souls converted into lesser demonic servents, they emit a thick black smog that hinderds movement and sight of whoever is near it.
Thoughtless - These mindless creatures wonder around with no feeling of any kind. The only thing they do know is to rend and tear at whoever thats not it.
Rack Head - Skinless beasts, used as guard hounds for evil magicians and cultists. Able to rip prey to shreds with it's hook like claws and massive jaws.
