Yes, it's me...I cannot believe I am breaking down to submit a pretty normal portrait, but it is nice to attach a face to a body of work...I admit that my curiosity gets the better of me sometimes when I see others work.
I think I shot my worse half though....only kidding.

Sometimes a simple offering is the most true, uplifting and heartfelt.

I have another similar pic in my gallery, but this one I tried some different things with. I still like the blown out look in the back, but coloring is totally different and I left in the tattoo in this one (not sure if this was the right decision).
Anyway...
Concept: Offering of oneself without the need for reward.

Sometimes I wish there was a dial that I could turn and make my reality do a 360.

Something about this circular window that made me want to shoot all day...of course it is in Bangkok and I live in Philly, so I don't think I will be going back anytime soon.

Her love is incomparable
It is unforceful but all poweful
She glows a light of warmth and beauty
All day and throughout the night.

This is dedicated to my dear friend Greg, who is a DJ (and the model here)...we always try to encourage one another when we get down about our respective endeavors (his djing and mine photography (case ya didn't guess that by now)).
He has been so incredible with giving me support.
I hope to be able to do the same for him, as I love music more than almost any other artform (photog included).
The message: if you put your mind to it and work your fingers to the bone, you almost cannot fail (given a dash of luck)...so good luck G, and all you other music-makers out there.

Are you ready to enter the dark side?

The idea that most women cannot fully explore their dark or naughty side (represented by the underexposure of the left side of the picture) arose in the beginning of society when prostitutes were stoned by the very same men with whom they cheated on their wives. But today, women are more and more able to explore that nasty side wthout fear of repercussions. On the other hand, many women are scorned for being goody-goodies and are often dismissed for the naughtier, more "fun" girls. The personal challenge as a women - balance.

I am actually submitting this picture as a challenge to all female photographers out there who ONLY take pictures of themselves....there is a great big world out there with billions of beautiful people, places and things....I challenge you to step outside and take a picture of something other than yourself...it is really eye-opening. I take photos of myself (like this one), but this does not blind me to looking at the rest of the world. If all I did was take photos of brushes, I would probably get pretty damn good at photographing brushes... Point....I see too many on DA that need to do something else besides take a picture of that which they see every freakin day of their lives.

My challenge to men out there...keep making all women feel beautiful and encourage them to express a little more of that dark side.

Every crystalline drop contains a story....
Each one has its own nuance of emotion...
All contain a tear, a bead of sweat,
yet each possesses an element of cleansing.
He moves over and through each drop
Indulging their memory
For at least this one moment in time.

Repost - sorry DA messed something up

Taken on a boat ride in Vietnam's Halong Bay. There are over 3000 islands rising from the beautiful green waters over an area of 1500 square kilometers. The mountain-like formations in the distance are made of limestone and many are hallowed out allowing for cave exploration.
The boats and junks sail peacefully over these waters just as they did over 100 years ago. I felt as if I was transported back in time on this glorious day...so I tried capturing this old feel with this picture of the bay and boat lead by the wooden dragon at its head.

Impatiently she lays in waiting,
For her sweet love's arrival
And the all the salvation it brings...
