Break the Ice (Contest Entry)This was not how Raven had planned spending her summer. Summer was many things, but freezing was not one of them. She shivered and pulled her cloak tighter around her, wishing now more than ever for a fur lining to keep the cold out. Next to her, Robin seemed to be fairing no better than she was. Raven looked around at her surroundings, longing for the beautiful visage that the Titans' Tower had to offer. If she closed her eyes, she could imagine the softness of the grass; the brightness of the sun warming her body; the crystal clear ocean that crashed lightly against her feet as she stepped on the edge of it. She could even imagine the thrill that she got whenever the alarm sounded, signifying trouble.
But there was no alarm here. There was no sun to keep her warm or ocean to dip her feet in. The Titans' Tower was her new utopia; something that she was unsure she would see again. Maybe the heat of flames would be better than the freezing icicles that surrounded them, but somewhere dee
Your My HeroRaven always believed in heroes. When she was little, growing up knowing she would bring on the destruction of the human race, she had hoped a hero would save her. No hero ever came for her, no one cared. She learned young that she would need to be her own hero. Joining the Teen Titans made her believe she could be good, could save the world. But in the end it was all for nothing. It was her fate, and fate could not be changed.Your My Hero2 years ago in General Fiction More Like This

Robin sat up, panting from a nightmare. Well, Raven's nightmare. "What..." He got up and checked his calender. Oh, no. April first. Might as well be Beast Boy's birthday the way he celebrated it. Slipping on his uniform, Robin walked out of his room to come face-to-face with Raven.
"Um... Sorry about-"
"It's fine, Rae. Not your fault." He stepped around her and headed towards the elevator. He didn't realize until the doors had closed that Raven had refused to look him in the eye. Weird. She was also wearing her hood, when she usually let it fall around him. Robin thought about this, troubled. Rae had been growing more and more distant from the team in the years since the whole, 'End of the world' thing. She didn't eat with them anymore, or even come out to watch movies. All she did with them now, was fight when the time came. But even that she did from a distance, only firing when desparatly needed. Ro

"Remove your hands," Raven said calmly.
"But you got to guess who I am first," he said cheekily.
"Remove your hands," she repeated, ignoring the question.
"Guess first," he said.
"Remove," Raven hissed. "Now."
"Not until you guess who I am," he said firmly, yet, his tone held amusement.
Raven sighed and said, "You know the answer to yourself Robin."
"Correct, my love," Robin said, removing his hands before jumping over the couch and landing next to her, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "What are you doing?"
"Relaxing while the others are out eating pizza and watching a movie," Raven said, not bothering to look up while reading her book and taking a long sip of tea.
"We're alone here?" Robin said, blinking his eyes.
"Yes," Raven replied.
""So why are you reading a book," he took the book off from her hands, and placing the teacup on the coffee ta

Raven and Robin would fight side-by-side. They would protect each other. They would cry on each other's shoulders when times are ghastly. They would search for one another, never stopping until they succeed even if they die. They will never let anyone hurt them:
Slade will never touch Raven.
Trigon will never pull Robin down.
But what would happen if their trust is broken by someone or one of them or both caused it? What would happen to them? Will it break the team apart into two: half would side with Robin while the other with Raven.
How strong is their trust?
"Hey," Robin said, walking up to Raven.
"Hey yourself," she replied to him when he stood next to her.
"What you doing?" Robin said, swaying back and forth on his toes and heels.
"Stargazing," Raven answered simply.

It was raining.
She was at the roof looking at the stormy sky, listening the thunders. The others had gone hours ago to the Pizza Palace. She was alone, not that she cared about it.
But for some reason she felt so unhappy... Finally, tears came out. She couldn´t avoid them.
That was the first time she cried in years. She needed to let herself go.
She looked at the door where Robin was staring at her with a concerned look.
- Are you ok?
She couldn´t answer. What was he doing at the roof? He approached to her in the middle of the rain.
- Why are you outside?
The girl just looked away. "What´s wrong wiht you, Raven?" she asked herself "God! What

It started with a kind invitation. A gift from the city to the teen titans for helping save the city so much, to the new Restaurant opening up. They never did much publicity things, so Robin on behalf of the whole team had accepted the gift. Everyone was excited, a free meal at a nice restaurant, what could be better? Cyborg was the first to back out of the dinner. Titans East was having a problem in there tower that needed immediate attention. Cyborg accepted and took off, any excuse to see Bumblebee. Starfire dropped out next, which was surprising. She had said it was in her horoscope that she shouldn't go out that night. Starfire had grown into doing everything her horoscope told her, damned teen magazines. S

Raven was minding her own business until she felt a presence behind her, the next thing she knew she jumped into the air and screamed, falling down onto the floor in process.
"Haha, I didn't know how the mighty can fall that easily," Robin said from behind, chuckling.
"What the hell was that for?!" Raven growled at him.
"I don't know," Robin shrugged, "bored I guess."
"If you're bored, why not hang out with Beast Boy or maybe Cyborg, heck why not Starfire?" Raven asked him.
"Beast Boy and Cyborg are blowing their mind playing video games, and I don't want to go shopping with Starfire," Robin answered. "Why? Do I bother you that much?"
"As the matter of fact, yes, yes you are," Raven replied.

Beast Boy was pouring the drinks.
Cyborg was making the final touches to his meal, his food must explode in everyone's taste buds; it has to be good.
However, there's something to be missing here
"Friends, where are friend Raven and Robin?" Starfire asked, flying around the Tower, checking everywhere: the cabinets, the halls, the closets, even under the couch. "I cannot find them anywhere in our home."
Right on cue, Raven and Robin walked into the living area, the other Titans were happy to see them, but the two birds' expression said otherwise.
"How is it my fault?" Robin asked her.
"And how is it mine?" Raven said, glaring at him.
"I didn't say it was yours," Robin replied.

She had a beautiful feature and her hair framed her face well. The smile was beautiful and it was like a boat going towards a beacon during its dark voyage in sea. Her amethyst eyes sparkled like jewels under the full moon. And there was a glow that surrounded her.

"Happy anniversary, Richard." She closed her book and looked up at him with a smile. Well, with as much of a smile as you could get out of Raven. "So, what'd ya get me this year?" She asked trying to sound like she wanted nothing more than to get the hassle of present-giving done and over with. However, she ended up sounding more like an eager child in anticipation of something special. And "special" this would be. . . among other things.

Both Beast Boy and Cyborg were hiding behind the counter, shaking.
"R-Raven?" Cyborg stammered.
"What?" Raven said in an ominous tone, causing the changeling and the half-machine to shiver.
"Are you alright in there, dark girl?" Cyborg gulped.
"I feel perfectly fine," Raven said as she continued to stare at Robin who was laughing at what Starfire had said. "What made you say that?"
"One thing for sure, you don't look happy at all," Beast Boy spoke up.
Raven didn't say anything as she stared dead-on at Beast Boy, her eyes glowing red and teeth bared out.
"Heheh, want some tofu?" Beast Boy laughed nervously, holding up a plate of tofu.
Raven's eyes narrowed into slits as the tofu exploded into Beast Boy's face like a volcano had erupted.
Before she left the common room, she stole another glance at Robin and Starfire who seemingly didn't notice the commotion, she grew angrier

Raven had been sixteen for two and a half weeks now.
Despite that, in terms of numbers, she was still young and growing up, Raven hadn't been a child for ages. She'd grown up long ago, in order to survive. She had seen more, done more, and had more tortures and regrets than most people in their forties. Robin thought she'd get along all too well with Batman.
In the past seventeen days, things had been a sickening parody of business as usual, everyone pretending worth their ass that Raven's sixteenth had been as sweet as every cliché and

Don't Say a Word
Summary: Raven sees it as nothing more than friendship...Robin, on the other hand, thinks she needs to really think it through...
Chapter One: Just Listen
Raven was in her room sitting on her bed, reading her book while running her hand through the sleeping Boy Wonder's hair. Dreams pondered on his mind. How he had gotten in this position, the screaming, the fighting...the kiss. Not exactly in that order. Lucky for them, they were alone.
Still, Raven had to remain emotionless.
Raven had barely finished her meditation near the window when the Titans announced they were going out. While Beast Boy and Cyborg were out to get new video games, Starfire was out at the mall of shopping.
But Robin was no where in sight.
Raven walked to the kitchen to prepare her self her herbal tea for the day, out of the blue Robin appeared with a determined faced. What was he up to now? Raven wondered.
"Hey, Raven." All that determination and courage seemed to go down the drain.

I was packing my bags furiously, throwing everything that can fit while I ignored her crying, her pleading for me to stay.
I admit I would have done stayed for her sake years ago but not anymore.
I'm over her now, and had been for a really long time.
Kori, my soon-to-be ex-girlfriend grabbed my arm and begged me to stay, apologizing many times over and that she didn't meant to hurt him.
I didn't know what made me stay with her whenever she apologizes, maybe because I hated being alone. Now, I am not going to fall for your little charms.
Whenever you slept with other men, I would always forgive you. But when you said those hurtful things to me, you broke me.
I finally got all my stuff in my bags and began to walk out towards the door, ignoring you when you started to yell at me.
"Don't leave me, Richard!" she cried. "Don't throw us away!"
I spun around to face her, practically sneering at her before opening the door and slamming it shut.

The T-Ship had broke earths atmosphere, and the Titans all pulled themselves off the back ends of their seats from the velocity of the take off. Ahead of them was the small speck that was their destination: the Titan's Satellite base, the USS Argus. Up front Robin rubbed the back of his neck, and switched on the speakers. Just on looking around from his position he could see Cyborg cheering at the success of his rocket boosters, and Beast Boy lovingly cradling a brown paper bag.
How is everyone? Robin asked rather bluntly.
How does it look like I am? Beast Boys voice came from the speakers. I just about threw up a lung over here.
Nice visual. Ravens dry voice came back.
Robin smirked. Everyone else

On board the Argus, the Titans would scrambling repairing equipment and doing all they could at the same time to retrieve their friends. Beast Boy and Starfire stood helpless as they could do nothing but watch what was happening before them. Cyborg legs were sticking out of a console, as his whole upper body was inside tangled in wires. Argent was frantically working on calculations, Golden Eagle was trying to repair his station, and Wonder Girl was going in between all of them giving a command here and there.
In the meantime Miss Martian had her eyes closed, focusing her telepathic energy over to the probe, trying to get a good sense at what was happening to their friends. The situation was desperate, to say the least, but everyone had something to do everyone except Beast Boy and Starfire.
"Oh, I can not take this waiting." Starfire looked at Beast Boy with worry in her green eyes.
"Don't worry, they'v
