Wonderful Insanity [Jack Frost X Reader One-shot]
Important stuff to be known:
[f/e/c] = favorite eye color, [f/n] = friend's name, [f/b/n] = favorite boy name
Alrighty, I think that those are the only ones that aren't normally in reader inserts, but if I missed any… I think you guys are smart enough to figure 'em out (either use context clues, or you can ask me in the comments and I'll be happy to answer ^.^ )
Your [e/c] eyes widen in shock as the kind and gentle voice that you've come to love so much hisses at you, "Get out. How many times do I have to tell you that we're through? Just go!" Those [f/e/c] eyes that usually hold such love, now show no emotion. Well, fine then. If that's how he's going to play, then so be it. You force yourself to narrow your eyes at him, and growl the harshest words you can think of, though you don't really want to.
"I wish that you had never fallen in love with me." Now it's his turn to be hurt. You had both been mad

"Jamie, do we have to go today? It's absolutely freezing," you whine, your cheeks already flushed from the cold.
"Aw, come on, [y/n]! It's not that bad out!" The brunette boy tugs on your hand again, pulling you after him, each of you carrying skates in your other hands. You sigh, and he laughs, knowing you aren't going to disappoint him. Soon enough you arrive at the frozen-over pond, and the both of you sit down on a snow-covered fallen log to put on your skates. Jamie has his on within a minute, while you fumble, still struggling to lace yours. Without saying a word, your excessively tall younger friend kneels down and laces them for you, then stands and takes your hand, pulling you up.
"Silly girl, that wasn't so hard!" He jokes, lightly punching your shoulder as he steps onto the ice.
"Don't disrespect your elders, punk," you growl back, feigning annoyance. You're actually pretty happy to be here with your best f

Despite the other Guardians' doubts, North found out for you and Jack, that it indeed is okay for a Guardian to have a romantic relationship. Not with a human, though. Fortunately for you - in some ways, anyway - a tiny seed of Pitch's dark magic was left in you, and for reasons unknown to you, Jamie, and the Guardians, it has altered you just enough. The Man on the Moon informed you of this. That's the only thing that he's ever said to you. That tiny bit of magic is just enough so that you can stay with Jack forever, if you both desire. You know that you do, but you're a bit worried that Jack won't want to. You're worried that he's going to leave you. And all of this has happened within hours of returning from your little "stay" with Pitch. After the Guardians made sure that you were alright, Jack brought Jamie home.
Now, you walk through the cold, dark streets with him, pressed into his side, although it offers no warmth. You don't say anything, because ther

When the blindfold of sand is finally pulled off of your eyes, you're on a frozen tundra, your only "company" being Pitch.
"I'm not sure if Jack told you about the little deal he and I struck up here, but either way, I like reusing useful places." He flashes a secretive grin to go along with his ominous words. You don't even want to know what sort of deal he tried to make with your winter spirit. Maybe later you'll be curious about that, but for now, you need to know what he wants with you.
"Why did you need me so bad that you had to kidnap my friend?" You demand.
"Well, Jack's been keeping such a close eye on you, so that was the quickest way I could get to you," he begins to explain.
"That isn't what I asked," you glare.
Pitch sighs. "You're a stubborn one, aren't you? Very well, I'll get right to it then… I want you to be in a partnership with me."
"Why on earth would you want me for that?" You ask, confused.
"Because, my dear," he says with a sneer, "I can sens

Where could he have taken her? I swear, if it's someplace that I know, that I could easily get to, I'm going to mentally die, rip all of my hair out, dig a hole for myself, and never come out. In that order. I've already checked and double checked every single underground cavern that Pitch every crawled into, every city that he's taken a special liking to, and everywhere he was linked to in his previous life. Zip. Nothing. Nada. Pitch Black and [f/n] [l/n] are nowhere to be found. What kind of hell could he have taken her to???
The next thing you know, you're on the sandy shore of an island. Chrystal waves crash behind you as the sun warms your shoulders. Inside you still feel frozen though. Almost as though all emotion and feeling has stopped. Like your heart has stopped. You haven't lost sight of your goal though. You turn to Pitch.
"Well… where is he? There's no one on this beach." Pitch just chuckles, and points ahead to the tree-line. U

Not being able to take it any longer, you swing your legs into the hole, then let yourself fall. Slipping and sliding through underground chutes, you would almost want to laugh, if not for the dark atmosphere that grows the farther down you fall. Finally, you land with a soft thump in an empty room. Quickly, you pull yourself up and run down a flight of packed dirt steps, taking two at a time, until you reach the bottom and enter another, larger cavern. Your footsteps are soft, you yourself can hardly even hear them, but as soon as you walk in, Pitch's gold eyes flick to you as he says, "Ah, here she is! Just the girl I wanted to see!"
The Guardians whirl around, looking at you with stunned expressions on their faces.
"[y/n], I thought we told you to wait up there! That was the one thing we asked of you!" Jack hisses, though not angrily. He's afraid.
"And I told you that I didn't want to just sit and do nothing… I had no clue what was going on

Unfortunately, all of us know that we aren't going to be able to find out what Pitch wants until we go. So, we are going… Just not all of us. Well… only [y/n] in particular. I voice this, earning agreement - shockingly - from Bunny, Sandy, and also North. Tooth doesn't answer, but looks away, thinking. [y/n] doesn't seem to see eye to eye on this matter, though.
"Jack, you can't just tell me to sit back and wait when things get tough," she says stubbornly.
"[y/n], this isn't just tough. It's downright dangerous! And you don't even have anything to protect yourself with… no powers or magic. You wouldn't stand a chance!" I argue.
"What, are you saying I'm weak or something? I don't need magic to be able to stand up to some loser! Jamie and his friends didn't!"
"That was different! I don't doubt that you would be able to stand up to anyone else other than Pitch… Pitch Black is different though. &

"So… so you're Jack Frost? I'm… not dreaming, am I?" You ask, a bit dazed. Understandable, after a teenage boy just popped out of thin air and ran you over.
The silver-haired boy grins, saying, "I am in fact Jack Frost, and this is no dream. I can hardly believe myself that you can see me though! I mean, I knew that Jamie's plan would work, of course, but… I'm finally meeting you! Jamie's told me all about you."
"Oh really?" Your eyes slide over to your friend, who shrugs at you.
"You are my best friend after all, [y/n]," he simply says.
"Well, you're mine too, Jamie," you smile.
Jack cuts in with, "Now that I'm here, let's do something really fun, guys!"
"Wait, wait, wait! If you're talking about what I think you are, than that's probably not the best idea…" Jamie begins.

"Alright, Jamie. I'll pay attention. I don't see how you're going to be able to make me believe, though," you say, becoming a bit melancholy. The cold gets you like this sometimes. Brings you down. Usually not though, so you're hopeful that after Jamie's done, you'll get back to doing fun things.
"First things first. Do you know what Jack Frost does?" He asks.
"Well, he supposedly brings the frost, of course, and snow. Can't he make wind, too? I think I read that in a children's book or something once, a long time ago. Basically, he changes the season to winter." Jamie nods, content with your answer. Just then, a cold wind starts up, blowing your [h/l] [h/c] locks into your face. Pushing them back, you shiver, and pull your [f/c] scarf up higher on your face.

The next time you wake up, you're curled up in an afghan in front of a roaring fire in a gargantuan fireplace. 'Now where on Earth is this place?' you think as you sit up, wrapping your arms around your knees. You have a few minutes of silence before a girl's voice cries out, "She's awake, everyone! [y/n] is awake! You can come in, now!" You whip your head around, only to see a woman, covered from head to toe - the only exception being her face - with feathers of all different hues.
"Well this is the oddest and most imaginative dream I've had in a while," you say aloud, gazing at the beautiful woman in wonder.
She laughs, and it sounds like the tinkling of bells; such a happy, pure sound. "This isn't a dream, sweetheart. Let me introduce myself… I'm Tooth, also known as the Tooth Fairy…"
"Oh, well then… you… you're very lovely, Tooth," you say, voicing the first thing that comes to mind.

The past hour has been spent showing you around North's -as you now know he's called - workshop. As you followed him through the chaos of Yetis and elves, he explained to you with a Russian accent that when you arrived, you'd had severe frostbite in your hands due to the fact that the melted snow that your mittens soaked up froze again. He'd fixed them up to the best of his ability, though, so your fingers should be totally fine, soon. Emphasis on should be. North made it clear to you that he had done all that he possibly could to save your fingers, but it was now up to fate to decide whether they would heal or not.
With that thought burdening your mind, you reach the end of your tour of the workshop. North tells you that there's still one more thing to show you, though. He leads you through a pair of massive double doors, and in the center of the room, is a globe, with small lights all over it.

The next thing you know, you're waking up in your own bed. You blink a few times, still half asleep, when suddenly, you remember. You sit bolt upright, looking around. With the day you had yesterday, you feel as though something should be different. Nothing is though. 'Could it have just been a dream?' You wonder. Though the thought saddens you, because it is possible, even probable, that it didn't actually happen, you'll live. It's not like you've never had a ridiculous crush before… Sighing, you climb out of bed, getting changed out of your sweats and t-shirt and into a sweater and a pair of jeans. When you're dressed and ready to go, you walk out into your hallway, grabbing your snow pants and winter coat.
Once you have on a scarf and hat, and gloves in hand as well, and you're about to walk out the door, your mom calls out from a different room, "Where are you going, [y/n]?"

He raises his head, practically disbelieving at first, then when he sees you sitting up with your eyes open, a smile slowly makes an entrance onto his face. You peeked from under your arms and looked at the boy sitting on the floor of your room. Your eyes followed the tennis ball he had been playing with for a while, watching it hit the floor and the wall before landing on Jamie's hand, the cycle repeating itself over and over with a steady rhythm. Your head hit the desk softly after a minute of silence, "Nope. You?"
The bouncing noise stopped, the muffled 'thump' of someone landing on your bed reaching you short afterwards "I think I'm actually going with Sophie's idea…"
You looked up at your cousin, leaning back on your chair and stretching your back (how long have you been sitting there?) "Really?"

You tried picturing the Easter Bunny wearing one of Sophie's designs –which were resting on a pile on the desk– and only managed to get yourself laughing "Yeah, he probably will." In a swi

You ran through the falling snow, tears streaming down your face. The moon was the only thing lighting your path, though you didn't even know where you were going anyway. Suddenly your foot struck a rock under the blanket of snow and you plummeted into it's cold embrace face first.
Never in your life had you needed someone so bad.
You lay there, your cheeks stinging from the biting cold the snow offered. Not able to take it anymore, you sat up and buried your face in your knees. Eventually you would have to sum up some strength and go home, but that wasn't happening anytime soon.
Today had been the worst day the fates had ever decided to give to you. That morning you had walked in on another fight between your parents. Again it had been about money problems like it always was. You had tried to brush it off as you walked to school, but for some reason you felt this fight was different then the rest. When you got to school your boyfriend came to tell you he had some news. He ha

"Jack, wake up! It's starting!"
Lying down on the snowy ground, the winter spirit lazily obeyed the all-too familiar voice by opening his eyes, only to meet with a stunning sight.
To start off, Jack never really cared for the night sky. He doesn't care about the stars, the cosmos, the numerous galaxies and the vast universe. What mattered to him was his snow days, the other Guardians (yes, even Easter Kangaroo), his friends, his past and Man in the Moon. He didn't pay much attention to anything else. Those were his only priorities for the last 300 years.
But then he saw this spectacular view.
A meteor shower.
Normally, he wouldn't care for this either. He thought in the past that those were just falling stars and nothing more. He was used to the sight of it, even if it rarely happened.
But this time, it felt... different.
Now that he was actually paying attention, the meteor shower looked amazing. Nothing else could come to compare (except for snow, of course). He w

It was Christmas eve, the busiest day in the pole. Yeti's were scurrying round, making sure everything was ready to go so North could leave in order to deliver the presents.
The elves, well they were just being elves.
And you, well you were in the midst of it all, trying to avoid the giant Yeti's from stampeding over you.
And most importantly, trying to avoid Jack.
You and Jack had been friends for a while, after a cold, hard snowball had smacked you right in the face.
It was a harsh meeting. But he was more shocked you could see him than the foul language pouring out of your mouth. You were a teenager; No teenager had believed for centuries.
But you were an exception.
You had grown up with the legends, So it wasn't really that unnatural.
But to the guardians, it was a big thing.

Just the name of the season gave you chills.
Why? Because unlike the people of the world around you, so ignorant to the beauty of this season, you recognize the magnificence of what only happens for a few precious months each year. It is the time that you hold in your heart, close to your soul. And when hotter months come, your heart yearns for the beautiful coldness, and the feeling that enters your heart can only be described through snow, frosted windowpanes, and crystal clear ice.
The snowflakes, so different from the spoiled, ruined blackness of the world around, fall down covering the hills with a beautiful blanket of pure white snow. The windowpanes became drawing boards for frosted patterns, each unique and unlike any other that will or has been created. The flowers in winter they say, created out of frost, bloom in abundance everywhere you look.
The winter breeze blows with a frozen delight, its crisp coldness returning a small piece of your soul back to you. A piece t

A cool breeze flowed through the North Pole while little snowflakes fluttered about the enormous workshop. The workshop was filled with the scent of freshly baked cookies, filled with busy yetis, elves were running around, and colors were everywhere in sight. A silver haired boy flew into the shop and examined the place with great joy and admiration. The grin on his face grew larger and he allowed his stick to pull him through the factory to the designated office he had been invited to at a quick speed. With great ease, he flew around the working yeti and past all the toys that would be delivered on Christmas later that year. The painted red robots toppled off one of the workshop tables. The Yeti looked at its hard work that had fallen onto the ground. The furry creature just couldn’t seem to cut a break as he shot the

“Great, just great.” You growl as you stomp your way forward. This was the LAST thing you had in mind when you set out on your walk earlier today but here you were, and there wasn’t much you could do about it now.
It was hard to admit it to yourself but at this point there really was no other way to put it; you were lost. Lost in the forest in the middle of winter and to make matters worse, the sun was starting to set making it harder to see through the thicket before you and not to mention it was a heck of a lot colder than when you started. Determined as you were though you weren’t about to let a little darkness and cold get between you and that nice cozy bed you had waiting for you back in your room.

The winter air outside was cold and crisp, not making your job any easier. Your mother had asked you to feed the chickens this morning- or at least the chickens that were left.
