1.The Angel and the Traveler.
"How did you say before your name was?" the golden angel asked.
"Adnon, of Destellon," the dark-skinned figure answered, stroking the pointed edge of his right ear nervously. He was wearing a full-length robe made of blue, shining fabric, with golden symbols sewn on it at various parts and held a metal rod full of carved symbols firmly in his hands. At the rod's edge, a beautiful scythe made of a grayish metallic substance had been fixed; some symbols were carved on its blade as well. It shone with a bluish hue.
"You come from a world that's dying, you said?" the angel asked again, looking high at the endless dance of stars that were the ceiling of the vast hall they were in.
"No. I come from a world that has already died," Adnon said dryly, observing the angel with a steady gaze and his shiny eyes dimmed for a few moments.
"Well, I'm sorry about that."
"Sympathy and tears are useless now."
"When did your world end?"
"I cannot tell that with certa
