My entrant for the first round of Miss Gotham 2012, featuring Stephanie Brown as Spoiler.
"My name is Steph, and I'm here to prove that with a little heart and a lot of hard work you can take on the big guns. Nothing is more beautiful in Gotham City than a kick ass attitude."
I've always loved Steph's Spoiler duds. Purple and black? Yes please. I wanted to focus on the elements of her personality and attitude that I liked, while making her costume very dynamic to illustrate.
She's clever, crafty and sneaky - I extended her gloves and boots to mimic the black patterns on a fox, but gave her silver tipped feet and fingers so you could always see them.
I felt no remorse in hiding her bust under a practical costume and little caplet. Her cape is two segments - a circle caplet to look mysterious but keep her hands free, and a long back piece to look terrific in the moonlight. Her hood is streamlined to reflect a sleek, more ninja-esque quality while still being very round and smooth. Overall Stephanie has always had a lot of circular elements which I've kept. Big ol' fox eyes are perky and feminine.
Her utility belt is low sung sexy yet practical. No fancy grappling hooks for this dame!
Why wait for Dazzler to make it into films when I can just insert her myself? ... I know, I'd rather her actually be in one too.
Obviously, she is an X-person and not an Avenger but I think she would flourish better with them, even though she did turn them down... Also, I can fit her into any superhero story so your argument of logic is invalid!
The exquisite Kylie Minogue is the first panel and the amazing Elizabeth Banks provides the beauty in the other two; the rest was drawn and Frankensteined.
