Night LightTony wakes in the eerie hour just before dawn, where the world is full of darkness so severe it drips from the sky and paints all the space and then all the negative space, and every breath is black. He is teetering on the cusp of a dream, a dream of brown hair and soft skin and stubble all caught in a wash of pale green light that is a little too obvious as far as symbolism goes, and it's all so close to a newly realised reality that for a moment he is actually confused. As sleep slowly leaves him, lingering like a lover's long goodbye, Tony clings to the dream which his busy brain is already letting go. He stretches his limbs, still heavy with sleep, and then notices that his arms are empty.Night Light3 years ago in Romance More Like This
Tony pushes himself upright in bed. The arc reactor glows bright, unmasked in his naked torso, and it is the only light source in the room. He searches by the light of it, seeking out his dream. Bruce is nowhere to be seen.

"GET OUT, TONY!" Bruce shouted, hunched over as if in excruciating pain.
Tony, who had been pushed to the doorway of Bruce's bedroom, tried to move back toward him in order to help. "But I"
Bruce looked up into Tony's eyes and Tony could see the Other Guy, the Hulk, trying to break free. "I won't leave you. I know you're pissed but I need to fix it. It doesn't matter if it's with you or him."
The expression on Bruce's face turned to horror as a green hue began to dye his skin. He shook his head violently as he lunged forward and shoved Tony out of the room so hard that he fell on his ass and skidded across the floor of Bruce's living room. Tony flinched as the door slammed shut so he couldn't see Bruce as he changed. He could feel the sting through his legs from sliding across the dark green carpet.

Changing BackTony knows that Bruce is afraid.Changing Back3 years ago in Profiles More Like This
Tony knows that Bruce is afraid (why on Earth would he be afraid?) of hurting him. Of course, Bruce can't really be afraid of hurting himself (which he should be, he should be worried for his own well-being) since he never seems to be majorly hurt before or after he 'Hulks out'.
That's another thing. Bruce is afraid of transforming into the (wonderful) Hulk. Bruce never says Hulk. He's afraid of that, too (which is stupid, it's just a name, for Christ's sake). Bruce tries his hardest every time to do something (ANYTHING, Tony has seen him) to try and stop it.
Bruce will (and does, he does every single time) apologize after he transforms (or almost transforms, there is no stopping this man's guilt).
Tony tells him not to apologize (but does he listen?). Bruce is one (brilliantly, amazingly) stubborn man.
He (absolutely, without a doubt) trusts Bruce. He can't trust women (decieving, narrow minded bitches) because he was ready with Pepper, and then she wa
