ScotlandxReader Birthday Girl
Something was tapping your forehead. Frowning you waved a hand, trying to brush it away. It stopped for a moment, then continued.
"Come on lass. I'm not lettin' ya' sleep yer birthday away."
A familiar voice rumbled. You blinked sleepily at the man next to you. His red hair was tousled, sticking up all over the place. Faint stubble covered his jaw.
"So what do ye' want for yer birthday?" He grinned, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively at you.
"That's what you would want. Besides Peter is in the next room." You pointed out.
He rolled his eyes, "Ah should get Arthur ta' babysit him tonight."
You frowned, shaking your head.
"Nope. I want to spend my Birthday with my son and Husband." You paused, reaching out to twirl a fiery lock of his hair around your finger.
"And I want a carrot cake."
He arched an eyebrow, "Ye' do realize yer talkin' to a man whose brother sets fire to cereal."
You nodded, grinning.

You held back a tired sigh. "Of course honey."
Colin squealed with delight, tossing the package into your shopping cart. You allowed your self a small smile.

"Hmm?" You glanced down at him. Colin's bright red hair shone in the afternoon light.
"Why do you look sad?"
You blinked, unconsciously reaching up with a hand and touched your cheek.
"I'm not sad....Just tired."

You stared across the table at Allistor. He glanced at you, then looked down, shame in his eyes.
Colin had finally gone back to sleep. It disheartened you to see how much hate and contempt he felt for his father.
He flinched like he had been shocked.
"Why did you come back? You know your brothers are trying to keep you away."
He nodded, avoiding your eyes. You sighed, hunching your shoulders.
How awkward could this get?
"I know I already said it, bu' I'm sorry."

'Dammit!' You thought, wishing to tear out your hair. 'I knew I should have saved it!'
Thinking quickly, you called up the only country you knew would have the proper information about such a thing. Scotland.
Luckily, the phone lines weren't dead yet, so as the line on the other end began to ring, you sighed with relief. This paper was due monday, and you'd been so busy having fun with other countries and your friends, you totally forgot. So now it was saturday night, and you were expected to attend a party at America's tomorrow so you didn't want to be stuck at home.
"Ello' who's this?" the scottish voice on the other end boomed.

When you woke up, you felt the skirt of your nightgown crinkle with a layer of thin frost. It was still chilly out.
You had actually managed to fall asleep on the roof. You never failed to amaze yourself.
Allistor mumbled something, his head leaning against yours.
"Wake up." You reached out and poked him.
"WHOA LASSIE!" You felt his head shoot off your shoulder. You flinched slightly, eyes wide with surprise. His sleepy colors had gone bright with alarm, and something else.

You glared at the redheaded man as he smirked at you. One of his hands was in his jeans pocket and the other was holding a clothing hanger. On the said hanger was a maid costume.
The type of maid costume people might wear to Halloween parties.
"I really hate you right now."
His smirk grew, showing his pearly white teeth. You snatched the dress away from him and glared.

Today was your birthday, it was supposed to be one of the happiest days of your life, kinda. But today, you were feeling more worried than, happy.
Your boyfriend was acting strange. You glanced at Alfred out of the corner of your eye and frowned. He was fidgeting again, his clear blue eyes darting around.
"What's wrong Alfie?" Normal he laughed when he heard the nickname you had given him, not today. Instead, he jumped like someone had given him an electric shock.
"Um....stomach ache or something." He looked away from you, shoving his hands in his pockets and slouching further into the couch cushions.
"D'awwww. What did you eat today?" Resting your head on his shoulder, you patted his abdomen lightly. He flinched slightly, then gave you a shaky smile.

ScotlandxReader - Bed SheetIn the midst of a bright winter's morning a young woman stood by her bedroom window, looking at the snowy landscape as if the sight was foreign to her. The wind had a particular bite to it that morning. So chilly was the air that it seeped through her nightdress and diffused into her skin, causing her breathing to deepen from the sudden shock to her body. She shivered a little and ran her hands along her arms in an attempt to warm herself up, but alas it was to no avail. Still though, the morning was particularly spectacular to behold, and she did not wish to go back to bed just yet. The highlands were beautiful this time of year. The sky was so blue and the land was awash in beautiful whites, even a painter would have been hard pressed to improve upon the view.ScotlandxReader - Bed Sheet3 years ago in Romance More Like This

You stared at the strawberry cake in front of you and sighed. The candles flickered, waiting to be blown out. If you didn't blow them out soon, wax was going to drip onto the strawberry icing.
What was the point of celebrating this day anyway? Woo. One year older. You scowled at the pessimistic thoughts, and turned your attention back to the cake.
What to wish for? In fact, did you really need to wish for something before blowing out the candles?
You tapped a finger against the table top, glaring at the candles.
You decided to make the silliest and most improbable wish.
"I wish, that Romano from Hetalia, was real......or something." You frowned, not really sure how to frame the request.
Shrugging, you leaned forward and blew out the candles.
Nothing happened. Not that you were expecting something to happen.
A part of you hated spending another birthday alone.

She nodded, grabbing a flyer off the near by wall. It explained the purpose of the shelter and the hours. You thanked her smiled, taking the flyer. When you left, you felt a small tinge of guilt for not buying a cat.
