as opposed to skin sauntered in marks,
tells a trickier story than it's soiled and raw,
uncaring, unkempt counter part.
Bravery, I think it holds,
the strength to bare unimaginable loads
of pain and suffering through endless times,
and withstanding the agony of sleepless nights.
Some think it is fear, the reluctance to cut,
but I believe it opposite, it show courage and guts.
To bear your pain without a nick on your wrist,
is like a solider braving his terrain while being torn limb from limb.
Agonizing as it is, to hide your pain,
you do it so well, and no attention you'll gain.
At the end of the day, it's not cry for attention,
rather a cry for the victory that's silently mentioned.
Your scars are those not self inflicted,
and despite the gnawing intention,
to harm yourself and ease your pain,
the scars you earn are rightfully gained.

Huddled in the dark
A soft guitar sung out
Sending shivers up her arms
Course fabric in her mouth
stifling her sobs
Black tears running
Heart bursting to scream
Her flesh and blood above her,
She'd fought for too long
Why go on?
Then, they came
"So here's my song I wrote in time,
when it was needed"
A kind, beautiful voice
Pulling her from the dark
"Through pain of heart or loss of mind,
your burdens lifted"
They played on
Holding her tight
Sending the storm away
"You aren't alone just know that I,
can't save our hearts tonight"
The words spoke to her lonely heart
She called out to the one who wrote them
"You're not Alone
and we'll brave this storm
and face today
You're not Alone"
They were there,
There for her
Stitching up her wounds
Holding her together
In a Saviors' embrace

I decided I wanted to
eat the moon.
Mom with her pink frayed bathrobe
and tired eyes
told me to go to sleep,
that I had school in the morning.
Dad with his stacks of books
and prickly beard
told me that it was impossible,
the moon was too distant.
Well, guess what?
I ate the fuckin moon.
And it was delicious.
Bitches can't tell me shit,
I'll eat the fuckin moon if I want to.

Entire blue and made of wood.
Creaking door, flaking paint.
Bigger on the inside, smaller, from the outside.
Time and space, plaited together.
Dark sky, burning sun and icy star.
The Lord of Time, a solitary traveler.
He is not afraid of dawn, is living in darkness.
Eternal and immortal.
His name, written in the stars, burnt in time.
Red sneakers, crumpled suit, a brown coat.
In his eyes, knowledge, wisdom, truth, power.
His two hearts are beating the rhythm of time.
A past, present and future are uniting in his hands.
My Doctor, a powerful lord, a man of wisdom.
Why are you lonely?
You're like God, mighty, wise, immortal.
One, alone, unique in huge universe.
You are travelling among the stars, Doctor.
Take me with you. Together, we will not be lonely.
Love me, Doctor.
You will not be alone... Until I die.
Merry Fucking Christmas'Twas the night before ChristmasMerry Fucking Christmas6 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
And all through the house
Not a sound could be heard
'Cause the family was out
Except for the girl
Who had curled up to cry
'Neath the boughs of the tree
On that cold winter's night
Now, a Christmas tree
With lights all a glow
While the windows outside
Reflect falling snow
Is no place to mourn
No, its no place to weep
When the parents arent home
And the households asleep
But her heart's like a candle
Of old, melted wax
That's held not a flame
Since two Christmases past
So while the next day would dawn
With festivity and cheer
She would paste on a smile
Like she had every year
And with the giving of hugs
She would receive of their kisses
And partake in the granting
Of little kids wishes
All the while thinking,
Merry [fucking] Christmas

who tells me to 'cheer up'
when I'm depressed,"
he says, scoffing,
and I shake my head
"What a useless comment."
He chuckles, agrees,
but I keep thinking about
about all the "cheer up"s
and "just be happy"s
he's heard in his life.
I want to say "cheer up,"
I want my words to magically
cure him, heal him,
crush his depression
in a way that no pills ever could,
but I know it doesn't work like that.
Happiness is not an item
to be obtained with quarters
it is not a country to travel to
in airplanes and sailboats.
Happiness is a change in the wind,
a flicker from east to west
that cannot be upheld permanently.
For him, it is a road
blocked by people who roll their eyes
and tell him to get over himself.
When I wrap my arms around him,
he laughs again,
sinks into my body.
I think about hollow rooms,
sound echoing off the walls.

I think you're stupid

You deserve it
"I deserve happiness."

Look at yourself and you judge her?
my best friend?
aren't you no better?
you hurt her, and betrayed her
and you think after they hurt you, and throw you away
you expect her to take you back?
tired of dealing with you and your lies
your fake personality shows
she was innocent, and honest
but, you threw away the best thing you ever had
well, she warned you
and when they do throw you away
all you will have left is reminiscence
of what could have been
You showed your true colors
and proved me right
I told her I was done
and I saw through your facade
she was naive and kind
Thinking you were her friend
now all the lies are revealed
and you have lost the trust you
should have NEVER earned
Thanks for your concern but,
My Best Friend doesn't NEED a friend like you

For The Reunion
Looking up toward the sky,
Thinking of how she came to die.
"The Promised Land seems so far away,
Might that your children ascend unto you,
We do not wish to stay."
Gazing down toward the sent,
Feeling the pain of a tearful remnant.
"Do not cry,
It is the way of things that she had to die."
"Her power was great,
But her time was gone.
And From her dusk,
Came our dawn."
"Please don't be sad,
Your children know what to do.
The Reunion is not so far away,
We so long to be with you."
Descending unto dear advent child,
Sorrowfully rendered meek and mild.
"Her journey here may have ended thus,
But her strength shall remain always in us."
Holding from behind in winged embrace,
Gripping his heart and caressing his face.
"How truly powerful is her seed,
Just look how strong we grew.
Though she has joined the Lifestream now,
Mother's mnemonic legacy lives on within you."

She praises those who are familiar with her sisters, wealth and fame.
But she puts down those who are close to her brothers, Shame and poverty.
She makes the brave and strong into the poor and lame with her silver tongue.
Her laugh hurts the souls of what she calls "Lower class." as she laughs with her favored "Upper class".
Her smile startles the lower class, they ask "Why must you look at me so?" And she sarcastically replies "No reason."
She is a tyrant in a easily manipulated world, who can only be stopped by her elders, war and death.

It skips a beat when I see you.
It slows down when I miss you.
It dies when I'm not with you.
Memories we made together,
good or bad still I keep them on my mind and on my heart.
Things only me and you know about.
Things only we can understand.
Things only we can do.
Our dreams, our discussions, our debates.
People don't seem to understand what we have.
They may think we're too young
But they just don't know about us.
If only they knew,
I'm sure they'd be jealous.
I'm sure they would wish they were us.
Don't mind them, and please don't mind us.

She used to be a glass ornament upon his table
Oh, she used to be pretty
He dragged her around everywhere he went
One day he pulled her down too hard
And her days were finally spent
But he pulls all the broken little pieces around with him
There are scratches all over the floor,
He's got incisions deep in his flesh
He won't clean the dust out of his eyes; he won't see it's the end
His idea of love is unforgivably selfish
He's got string tied around his rose-coloured shards
He can't see her heart is shriveled and gone
Oh, to let go would be too hard
He's dragging what's left of her around like a pet
But she has no breath, she has no legs
She's deprived of a heart, he's already crushed everything that was left
Oh, he can't see
He can't see
Just let me go
Just leave me
Leave me alone
What a sweet little baby he used to have
Until the noose he kept around her neck
Broke her in half
Now he's got every bit of her
Just like he wanted

You are the sweet lullaby nurturing child to sleep
Blandly stroking, soothing the sense of sound
You are the gallant flow of rushing rivers
Licking the aching shore and then retreating
You are the loose knots in my forehead
As I struggle to resist your charming allure
