It was great fun to work on a more humourous piece for a change. The sense of movement and chaos on the Whooshwagon deliberately contrasts with the larger, calm, area of rock wall. The steep angle of the trees and space under the rear wheels help add to the sense of danger.

Working wihin the thin portrait vignette format I chose to emphasise the verticals with this 3-point perspective. I like the fact that the wings start to get lost in the shadow, whilst back lighting adds drama.

Here's another character design I (Kei) did for that film that didn't make its way to the end. But, these faeries where alot of fun to create...
