Note: I have only done this on Kubuntu 12.04 x64, 12.10x64, running KDE 4.8.4, KDE 4.9.2, KDE 4.9.3 so anything other than this I can not say for sure will work. I would assume as long as you have the dependencies met it should work but this is just a guess. As Always make sure to back up your stuff before trying anything new like this!
1: Make sure to install all Denpendencies:
- build-essential
- cmake
- kde-workspace-dev
- libxrender-dev
- libxext-dev
- libqt4-dev
- libx11-dev

GTK theme preferences - Customize GTK themesCustomizing a GTK theme can be frustrating, especially with both GTK2 and GTK3 themes lying there. And why go through all the hassle when you want to change just few things. You no more have to! I've made a GTK theme configuration tool that allows anyone to change some basic elements of a GTK theme easily (both GTK2 and GTK3) with a simple interface.GTK theme preferences - Customize GTK themes9 months ago in Personal More Like This
Features
Customize selected background color
Customize Xfce panel, Gnome panel and Unity panel
Customize menu colors
This works for any theme (If doesn't work correctly with a theme, please report bug here https://github.com/satya164/gtk-theme-config/issues). You can revert all changes with just a click.
If you use Ubuntu, Linux Mint or any Ubuntu based distro, install the tool from the Shimmer Project PPA. It is available for both Precise and Quantal.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shimmerproject/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gtk-theme-config
If you use Fedora, add this repo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/saty

A Guide To Using The DeviantART Chat RoomsI asked my evil friend =Evil-e33 to help me write a nifty guide to using the Chat Rooms on DeviantART. I did all the work and she poked me repeatedly in the left arm (which is now bruised) and came up with witty one liners that make me look foolish.A Guide To Using The DeviantART Chat Rooms4 years ago in Editorials More Like This
Anyway, as for being helpful, we failed, but this is what happened anyway...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH Where am I?!?!?!
`KathrynODriscoll says: Hello there, welcome to dAmn. dAmn stands for deviantART Messaging Network and includes the forums and the chat rooms.
This guide is for the chat rooms, using them, and becoming accustom to them.
=Evil-e33 says: The first rule about dAmn club is we don't talk about dAmn club.
`KathrynODriscoll says: Luckily dAmn is not a club. So lets move on.
dAmn is moderated by MN@ staff. You can tell who these scary people are by looking for the @ symbol by their usernames. (Usernames are listed on the right). All Official chatrooms are moderated by the MN@ Team. Generally speaking,

DeviantART announced a month ago that through a new organization, Dadotart we applied to manage a new Top Level Domain (TLD) called “.ART.” We are committed to having the .ART TLD — the Internet addresses that could end in .ART — organized and distributed with the full participation of the global art community.
We need your help!
We need your help to show public support for the Dadotart application. The application process to manage a TLD is long, arduous, and intricate. Help us gather as a true art-centric community. And please spread the word to everyone who loves the arts or is part of the arts because we aim to have .ART be home to everyo

The New Street Photographer's ManifestoFebruary 7, 2013/by $techgnoticThe New Street Photographer's Manifesto3 months ago in deviantART Blog More Like This
Street photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson called it the “decisive moment”— the captured instant when all the photograph’s elements come together to tell a story in a way a text narrative of thousands of words could never begin to. It is what hooks people, both practitioners and advocate-devotees, on the art form. It is uniquely completely immersive in life— step out into the streets— in which the moment of artistic epiphany can never be guessed at until it suddenly happens. When it is properly mastered, it is as pure as the dawn of each new day, as true as the living organism of a teeming street scene catching a breath as one.
It's no easy task to pull a book together for publication and "The New Street Pho
Using HTML on deviantARTUsing HTML on deviantART2 years ago in Technology More Like This
Hello!
Hello and welcome to my little html tutorial. I've been working with html codes for a couple of years and I'm going to teach you what I know about using some basic html on deviantART. This won't make you a html expert or something and I'm not an expert myself but it will give just enough knowledge to make your journals, comments, news articles and other neat and lovely looking.
deviantART actually has FAQs about html but I still wanted to do this because they look a bit unorganized, in my opinion. Also, why would you want to look for those FAQs when you can just open this news article where you have everything in one place?
You may already know some of these, but I hope you'll find at least something helpful in this news article.
