Marks of MarriageIt was the middle of the night and the Kurosaki household was fast asleep, except for a certain raven-haired shinigami. Rukia had just awoken from her slumber to drink a glass of water. After doing so, she climbed back into bed with Ichigo. This wasn't uncommon anymore, because the two had been a couple for several months now. Since then, Ichigo's dad even insisted that they share a room.Marks of Marriage2 years ago in Romance More Like This
Probably in hopes of grandchildren, thought Rukia, smirking. Sorry Kurosaki-san, that's not gonna happen anytime soon.
Rukia snuggled near Ichigo's sleeping figure and instinctively; he wrapped his arms around her.
He's so cute when he's sleeping, she thought smiling. He doesn't scowl and he seems at peace.
Ichigo's warmth enveloped her, making her smile more.
Sometimes, I wonder if I even deserve such happiness, she thought, somberly.
Rukia could feel Ichigo's warm breath in her hair. Rising up slightly, she kissed the tip of his nose and pecked his lips. Even thoug

"I think I'm finally getting the hang of this," said Ichigo, a genuine smile on his face as he turned toward his shinigami companion. The felled hollow dissipated behind him, and he casually rested his huge sword on his shoulder. The fading, sinking sun framed his lion-like mane like a halo.
The corners of Rukia's mouth lifted slightly, as if Ichigo's grin were somehow contagious. It turned into a smirk, as she noted, with only a tinge of guilt forming in her gut, "Don't get too comfortable, I'm not gonna be weak forever."
"You're not weak," he corrected offhandedly, carefully sheathing his sword.
Taken aback, Rukia elaborated, "I'm powerless..."
"That's not the same thing."
Although Ichigo refused to look at her, suddenly very preoccupied with his sword, Rukia's eyes softened in his direction. Cocking her head to the side, she pondered whether or not she'd ever get used to this boy's shif

Why am I even here? she thought as she stared at her knees, refusing to look up.
Rukia mentally cursed at herself for not realizing the uncertainty of the situation when Byakuya called for her to come back to the Soul Society. Now, here she was. In the Kuchiki manor as the elder members of the Kuchiki clan stared at her as if she was an item on display.
What did I even do? she thought as her knuckles started to become white from clenching her fists too hard.
"Kuchiki Rukia," spoke the elder of the Kuchiki clan.
"H-Hai," she stuttered, breaking out of her thoughts.
"Though you are not related by blood, you have formally been adopted as a member of our clan," affirmed the elder as he looked down at her.
"H-Hai," she responded as she kept her attention on the floor.

I hate coffee.
I hate the way it looks. It reminds me of what happens when you jump in a puddle and the clear, fresh water mixes with dirt until it turns the color of burnt umber. Disgusting. I even hate the way it tastes. It sears the flesh inside of my mouth and slithers down my throat like a poison leaving a trail of bitterness behind. It doesn't refresh me like tea does, coffee makes me cringe and shudder.
Every time I've ever had a cup of coffee, I swore that I was going to get an ulcer. Yet, despite my pure and utter disgust for coffee, I'm still heading to the Yume Kohi Shoten, Karakura's local shop for all drinks bitter and murky. Of all things, why did I tell Rukia we'd grab a cup of coffee?
Because Rukia loves coffee.
Hmph, Rukia. Why does her name constantly linger on the tip of my tongue? Why does my pulse accelerate each step closer I get to our designated meeting spot?
I know why...

The window was wet from the rain that poured down outside. The sky was colored grey of dark clouds and outside on the streets people tried to get away from the rain by running in under buildings. Some people walked with umbrellas over their heads and some had nothing except for a cap.
A sigh could be heard in the darkened room where a lonely young man sat. His orange, spiky hair seemed to shine in the light from the candles that stood on a small table next to his bed where he sat in the darkness. In his eyes, which were dark brown, you could see how lonely he was. Something was missing in his life, but he didn't know what yet.
The door behind him opened and someone with small, easy footsteps walked towards him. It was a woman whose name was Masaki Kuro

He reached for her
His fingers curled and uncurled
Skidding across the soft sheets of the bed
But sheets, soft as they may be, were not what he was looking for
The muscles flexed in his hand and the veins underneath his skin bubbled and stretched along with him, making it all too visable to the naked eye
His neck had a dull throb from his unusual sleeping position
But then again it usually did, he was starting to think it was his mattress...
His spine popped and cracked and curled as he twitched and re-awakened his muscles
His bones growled out of their stillness as he forced them, too, to come alive again
And still he reached
As the fact that he was awake became all too clear his eyes fluttered open and he found himself staring towards his closet
His dream was nothing more than just that
An impossible reality
Because, as he noticed his fingers reaching out to her
He noticed that she wasn't there
And she wouldn't be
And she hadn't been for seventeen months
Be Mine My Lovely - part 1 of 2Thick, ooie-gooie, extremely sticky, overly sweet and all around delicious chocolate stuck terribly to Rukia's hands. Usually her way of resolving such an issue is washing away the sweet candy, but today this overly sticky chocolate wasn't a bother to her. No, if anything she was happy to have it so incredibly gooie. Grabbing another handful from the mixing bowl, Rukia slapped it on top of her creation and continued to work with it. After another hour of pinching and twisting, she had it. Setting the candy down, she stood back and smiled proudly at what she had made. Not thinking, she wiped off her face, and then realized that she had just chocolate coated herself. With a huff, Rukia picked up her item, set it inside the fridge, and then left to wash up. Sitting beautifully inside the fridge was a chocolate Chappy. The chocolate rabbit stood at a great twelve inches tall, and weighted at least a pound. Byakuya glanced up at sister from his paperwork with a look of suspicion. She never asked for money. She usually took it without a second thought. Then again, she usually only took it if she decided she wanted to go shopping in a servant's stead. Rukia was never the type of person to go spend money willy nilly on things she wanted or gifts for someone. So having her standing before him, twirling her short raven hair nervously, made him just a little curious to what was going on.
"What for?" he questioned smoothly.
Rukia swallowed and shrunk a little. Although she knew how sweet her brother actually was, it didn't make him any less intimidating. "Well, you see...Yuzu wants me to help her throw a Valentine's Day party "

"Ah. Yes. The blonde one?"
"Huh. A party, hmm?"
"Yes! And I want to help her as much as I can."

In stark contrast to her sword-fighting style, Rukia's hand-to-hand lacked finesse; there was no hint of the smoothed edges of refinement and poise she moved with when delivering blows with her zanpakuto. It was jagged, quick, striking out like a serpent. Though Ichigo was clearly the more skilled of the two, having been formally trained in karate since he was young, she was too fast, too unyielding in her attacks. Each unrelenting hit was a lightning bolt to his skin, as she arced a jab here, a swift kick there.
The only moments she wasn't in full survival mode, hardened and destructive, were her airborne ones. She flew with the grace he expected of her, that he was used to. Still, recognizing her flying kicks only went so far. Already, Rukia had broken his nose, promising meekly she would heal it later with kidou before launching another attack.

A day Kurosaki Ichigo dreaded when he was a kid, when his psychotic version of a father would turn up in full force at his school to terrorize his schoolteacher and address his decent academic grades. It was an annoying day for Ichigo, especially when the skeptical teacher would question his father if his orange hair really was genuine, and had not been the product of a hooligan stunt. It was also a day when the young Ichigo would wish that he could grow up and be the boss instead.
And finally he was when he soon became a father.
It was a far cry from what he had expected. He didn't sit like a boss, he definitely didn't feel like one, and it was even more nerve-wracking than the time when he was the one with the report card. It was about 103 degrees outside, by far the hottest day I've spent in the world of the living. So hot I'd think you could boil water on the curb--or through my skin for that matter. The air conditioner in the Kurosaki household was only on the bottom floor and in the clinic, for what Isshin called patient priority. I, however, was not in the cool conditioned air of the living room but instead sitting on the second floor in Ichigo's room with him with a paper fan I'd folded up from a disregarded one on the floor, fanning myself like I was about to melt.

What was wrong with him that he thought it was a good idea to have that blanket out at this time of year? Must be a masochist, which would actuall
Valentine's Day - IchiRukiKuchiki Rukia? Jealous? Never! Sure, I may have seen a lot of girls give him chocolate as it is there so called Valentine's Day... From Ichigo's previous explanation to me about this supposed 'romantic' date, the girls are to give the boys chocolates, two different types of chocolate for the relationship they have with the boy. These types are giri-choco which is for your friends, colleagues, family and others who you don't have feelings for, whereas honmei-choco is the opposite, given to the lovers or who you have romantic feelings for. If the boys accept the chocolates, they will need to get you something twice or thrice as worth as what you got them for Valentine's day on another romantic day or shall I say 'pay-back' day called White Day. According to our Strawberry, most girls in Japan believe that if homei-chocolates are bought, it's not true love, therefore they make it themselves.
