Sinking Darkness.My flesh pounded up against the cold steel with sweat, blood, tears. My heart stopped for the longest moment. I could see my breath in the dim red glow of the small, metalic room in the belly of the ship. I screamed for help, even though I knew it was a frivolous act, and amounted to nothing but the loss of oxygenSinking Darkness.1 year ago in Personal More Like This
"Help, someone please--ANYONE!"
I cried over and over and over again. Beads of sweat formed in my tightly clentched fist as I pleaded for some kind of savior. The red light flickered. My pulse slowed. The light went out. "There was a dark sun for a moment...
But the the ocean choked on the shade bringer,
And the shade bringer was no more."

Until we were secure again,
And the vessel stopped moving..."
And according to the birds,
On that sad, sad day;
They lost a flying companion.
And so they mourned the loss of their winged brother,
Then leaving with nothing but a memory.
