TDKB - Four A lonely feeling overwhelmed her as Selena walked down the street with her hands in her pockets. The grey clouds served as a veil above her, covering the rays of the sun, indicating that it may snow later that evening. The ground was covered in a light frost that crunched with each step that she took.
Her chest filled with pain as she continued to dwell on the Coven's decision. She couldn't understand why they still wanted to separate her and Thor when they already proved how valuable they could be. It frustrated her to think about it. Thor was her best friend; there was no way she was going to let the Coven simply take him away from her.

Dayside was ending. Black clouds billowed in the sky. Lightning shot across the heavens followed by the clash of thunder. The rain fell incessantly to the ground. A small settlement by the name of Helshire Village lay nestled near the edge of the White Plains. For days, the clouds covered the skies to such an extent that it was almost impossible to tell the difference between day and night.
The streets were deprived of life and light, like walking through a graveyard, for it was considered a bad omen to wonder the streets when it became dark. Rumors and stories of four black horsemen guarding the limits of the village sent a wave of paranoia through the townspeople.
An odd looking wooden house sat near the entrance to the village at the bottom of the hill. The house stood three stories high. A lamppost stood on the left side of the house. Two chimneys were precariously perched on top

The hatchling discovered the first taste of air through a slow awakening.
It opened its eyes, but only saw darkness. It wanted to instinctively uncurl its neck. However, its body was cramped in an unmovable emptiness.
With the chip on the edge of its nose, it forced it to the top, creating a small crack that allowed light to seep through. The hatchling repeated and the crack grew larger.
Subconsciously, the dragonet used its talons to try to break through the cracks to break the shell open. The two halves of the shell flung apart.
The slimy interior of the egg trailed behind the new dragon hatchling as it crawled its way out of the eggshell remains. It attempted to stand on its four legs, talons shoving the pieces of the egg fragments off to the side, leaving a trail of the slime and blood.
Its dark, crimson teardrop-shaped scales shined like jewels.

“Dunno, Chaliss,” Gromm said as he kept looking at down at his hands. “My brother and I were only told to find the girl and the dragon egg. Unfortunately, we do not even know her name.”
Their female companion who Gromm referred to as Chaliss sat down at the edge of the bed where the young girl lay unconscious. She appeared to be a fair maiden. Her face was pale and narrow. Her thin black hair flowed down past her hips, covering parts of her face. The small dragonet kept itself near her head as if it were protecting the child. Its snout was about an inch away from hers, its wide amber eyes staring fervently back at her.
The walls within the room that they were all in had a few cracks that seeped up from the wooden floorboard. A small window sat beside the untidy bed. The room itself was small, but at the same time, comfort
