Mandalas are a universal symbol found in most of the world's cultures. They are often ritualistic and usually associated with spirituality. They are widely known as Hindu and Buddhist religious symbols but they can also be seen in the sand paintings of many aboriginal nations, in the layout of temples and churches, even in the stained glass rose windows of cathedrals.
While the symbolism behind the mandala is usually the unity and order of the cosmos, they can also represent the integrity of the self. During the more difficult periods of his life, Carl Jung drew a mandala every day. This helped him not only with the development of his own spirit but it also enabled him to refine his great theories of the psyche.

The basis of my art is a mathematical formula / algorithm which I am currently writing a paper on, called a Minimal (Generalized) Laplace Decomposition, which can be used to extract signals and patterns from a sequence of numbers. It bears some conceptual similarity to a Discrete Fourier transform, but is nonlinear and inharmonic.
The first step is the same as with most fractal art - to map each point in the image to a complex number z, like an Argand diagram.
Then I use this value z to generate a sequence. In the simplest case, all of the numbers in the sequence except for one are constants, and I just use z to fill in the blank. In other cases (e.g. Butterfly and Chao

I'm quite busy with work and other personal stuff, more than usual. So, I spend most of my scarce free time learning and creating. These retreats will happen every now and then. Badly needed to refresh and develop some new knowledge and ideas. No matter how pleasant it is to interact with you dear friends, I was beginning to feel unhappy and with little to say artistically as time went by.
Basically, resumed working on Bryce and started to learn MB3D. I'm comfortable with the former's unlimited possibilities and logics, but the latter was a source of frustrations and was very moody about it. Tried to figure it out by trial and error and why not, some reasoning. A few tuts, more than helping, added to the confusion. As days passed, I was about to quit, but it became personal. The program is just too good!. Now I'm beginning to enjoy it and understanding why so many people are so
