tWR GuidetheWrittenRevolution can be a confusing place for new members. We're a unique and large group, with our own projects, organization and rules, but we aim to give each writer the opportunity to add their flame to the revolution, and that's why we've compiled this guide. It is a directory of different blogs designed to give explanation and direction for different aspects of the group.tWR Guide4 years ago in Personal More Like This
With so many members, we have to enforce rules to make sure that everyone has an equal chance at getting feedback on their deviations. Each submission must be accompanied by proof of a critique and specific feedback questions are mandatory, so we've written two guides to help make requesting, giving and receiving critique easier.

Louder Than a Bomb Poetry Slam
In 2013, Elocutionists will be hosting its first spoken word competition, dubbed 'Louder Than a Bomb' (named after the Chicago Poetry Slam of the same name). The competition will consist of writers either having their work performed to their specifications by readers or representing themselves in the competition with their own recordings. There may also be the possibility of two categories to enter: a category for individual slam poets and another for groups. If you are not aware of what a poetry slam is, here is a quick definition and rundown of some basic, universal rules:
A poetry slam is a competitive event in which poets perform their work and are judged by members of the audience. Everyone who signs up has the opportunity to read in the first round; the lineup for subsequent rounds is determined by the judges' scores. Though rules vary from slam to slam, the basic rules are

Nya! Rawr! And welcome to a new edition of Absurd Interviews: Because I'm worth it! *flips hair*
After a few weeks of absence, I'm back bringing you these interviews full of absurdity. I know you missed me but you can stop crying now, I'm back! This is my first submission using Sta.Sh™ Writer™so if anything looks like out of place... no it wasn't Sta.Sh's fault, it was made on purpose.
Anyway, without any further delay, ladies and gentlemen, with you: Mirz123!
Hi! This isn't a question but I'm putting a question mark on the end of it anyway?
This isn't an answer, but I'm putting a question mark after it anyway?

A shrinking violet. I'm actually very shy and insecure...and slightly purple.

5 days left...It's been 10 years since I've packed a single bag without hesitation and left home, full of dreams of love and big world, enthusiastic about finally being an adult - at least officially. At that time, I haven't considered feelings of my mother and father much, seeing me going away with such thrill, I didn't think they would miss me anyway, the apartment was so small with all five of us in it and everyone too full of their own worlds to care for mine. I wouldn't need anything, some clothes, books, my earring collection and a clay cup my boyfriend gave me for birthday. I was 18, of course I was the smartest of all and in no need for other opinions. My boyfriend was six years older and I adored every piece of him for the whole time of our relationship.5 days left...2 years ago in Personal More Like This

"Dreamers are the sanest of us. We're not crazy, frankly, we're quite practical creatures. We don't gamble with the regrets and what ifs of life, we figure if you only have one life to live, you ought to live it to its fullest. I think we frighten society because we can't be pinned down, groomed into minions, boxed-in, brainwashed, dictated. What we possess cannot be stolen. We refuse to submit to something that doesn't satisfy us, no matter how many times we're drilled that "this is just the way it is" or "that's just life", with a shrug of shoulders. See, we know they're lying through their teeth. We know nothing is impossible. We enrich our spirits, and worry less about our pocketbooks. The fulfilled will die the richest on the earth, even if penniless. We're the ones who change the world, for with no dreams to fuel it, there would cease to be the electricity of change, the progression of the world would come to a frozen halt, and yet, we're ostracized, mocked, mi
It's Working Again …Mmmmmm Leana has inspired, set some fires she's got me ignoring SnowFog to bury myself back into The Wander that first plate she did , and something about being free of some ghosts that kept me out of this work and writing Bolshoi yesterday weaving velvet images and dark sentiments I'm hungry for this type of work again there will be tiny bits of rhyme still, I just cannot resist a stanza slap at some opinionated creature or another, and the desire to set a sweet touch of poetic admiration to another's words or images but for today I think love and blood and lust and damnation are in store. It's Working Again …2 years ago in Personal More Like This

White, softer white, black and bruised deeper than black, there over there is a brush wash of indigo, and watercolor splatters of grey; drip drop drip four five six and mirror shine on black am I a blur distort twist splash and white with running blue bleeding now and in a blend and air brushed sprays of cooled violet arrays. Dip yet again close your eyes with mine and surprise open wide for soiled white; white on grey behind verticals of furnace black solid shine on the left hand side and hold my hand for just a leap the feel of red where none it's hidden but glows beneath and let me go, just walk alone there's more verticals in falling longs like charcoal shadows. Night on white; smile and laugh, hear echoes come back in smokes and greys and white again.

"We Miss You" Contest - IIIWhat is this?"We Miss You" Contest - III3 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
"We Miss You" is a yearly contest held by PutYourBraveFaceOn (:iconPutYourBraveFaceOn and Alligatorr (:iconAlligatorr made for the ones dear to us that passed away. It is a tribute to those who changed our lives in one way or another; it is a message, a way of coping with our loss, of saying thanks and of expressing our deepest feelings through art; it is an unburied or unspoken secret, the song of our hearts, the unseen tear, a piece of our broken soul. It is everything you want it to be, as long as it is related to a dead person or an animal companion. I know that "dead" may seem like a harsh word and we usually try to avoid it, because it hurts too much by making it all too real, but in the past "We Miss You" Contests not all the people got the point otherwise.
Why should I do this?
You should do this, because keeping it all inside will break you eventually in more ways than you can bear. You don't hav

There's a group now - feel free to head over to TheTitlePage! We're still in set-up mode, so excuse the plainness for now.
Found Poetry Project - Titles as Art
One of my favorite things about the creative process is coming up with a good title. The title can make or break a piece; it can give context not provided in the piece itself, set a tone or mood, or just give that little extra something you can't put a name on.
You know I'm right. How many times have you stumbled into an ordinary piece with a beautifully creative title? And it's not something
