So do you remember these I made awhile ago? Well, why I bring it up is because.. well. nothing is going on and I don't need to make any journals (and I want this to stay on my front page for a few days atleast lol). So, again, what is the difference?
The difference?
Nothing. They're both traced.
The bending forward is traced off of an animu picture. The bending backwards one, was traced over some real life stock. But yet, the 'original' is viewed as 'accepted' in this community while 'animu trace' is considered a no no. So apparently if you trace for an 'original' picture then it is not viewed as 'bad' but if you trace some stupid animu shit then you're viewed as demon shit spawn from the seventh hell of shitfuck. All you're taking is the 'pose' of the picture, as shown by this 'original' base. But if it's anime then you're stealing the picture as a whole and claiming the whole fuck as yours so it seems.

For a rather long time now, there have been massive complaints against doll and base-makers. Accusations, saying that base/doll creators can't actually draw anything on their own, and that they're simply unoriginal, creativity-lacking tracers.
You know what, though? If these makers/dollers weren't as popular as they were, you wouldn't give them a second glance. You wouldn't give a flying pickle, and you know it. You'd go about your business and wouldn't even half-bat an eyelash. I have several good friends who are WONDERFUL artists, both in AND out of dolling/base-making. Working with bases also helps curve one's proportion accuracy, as well. Personally, I rarely use them, but I can safely say that I've learned a thing or two from when I have used them.

And, again, I'm trying to be nice, but you should be mature enough to accept what is said and just work on improving so you can prove to whomever that you've got not only the skill, but also the will to be in groups like pixel gift groups
Groups like those are always going to be a bit pickier, since the point is to be making something nice for someone else, so they try to filter people accordingly
When they say, "You need to improve," they aren't saying that you suck and you should jump off a cliff and take your shit with you
They're just trying to keep each trade as even as possible with the skill levels of it's members

doesn't really work for a lot of people, I'm writing this to add to it.

When I find images to make into basses I don't always find the images from the REAL OWNER. I Don't claim to be the real owner as you can understand and I know I suck at drawing anything other than clothes and hair. Plus, when you post an image on the internet-chances are, someone will copy and paste it into there gallery on say facebook or photobucket. These people most likely don't "own the image" but they might have downloaded it on there Ipod or something. Personally, Im fine if someone takes my images and posts them around using them for fun or what not, and I respect you if you don't have the same opinion. But don't start bitching about it to me because im short tempered and shoots first.

OKAY, first off, they have a black list, which I guess is alright for people that break the rules BUT, they put people on their black list just because they don't like what the person did with their base. I mean, if every base maker did this, then, there would be A whole fucking lot of people who wouldn't be allowed to use bases.
Second, they once told me that they hated adoptables, and then they started making them. Yeah. Explain that, you can't can you? They also say that if people use their bases for adoptables they have to be free (I think), because they don't like the idea of selling things like that and yet they're selling adoptables. And they call me a hypocrite. And for what? I don't know, probably about my saying it wasn't fare to watch them upload stuff they made with bases that their watchers weren't allowed to use. I apologized of course but still.

WHERE THE BLAZES DO I START!?! I didnt have a good experience with art classes (my teacher being the type who failed every student who didnt follow her style) so the only reference point I have is to point at a still life and say "draw that" which isnt technically useful in this situation. I really want this to be successful, not only for my wallet but to spread respect for anime/manga in this small town who's only concept of "Art" is paintings of flowers and sunsets.

QAQ I was so suprised, omg.
Okay, so I went to musical rehearsals today, and we basically got all the materials we needed today. Like, the script, the schedule, and all that good stuff.
Then, it was the dreaded selection of roles. (Mind you, there's like, 38 people who are in the musical, and only 8 people get lead roles.) We were all sitting in our chairs listening to her read the names of the 8 lead roles.
LO AND BEHOLD, MY NAMED WAS CALLED.
And now I am singing 4 songs in the musical.
