The Nutcracker and The Mouse King Chapter 1
*Vienna, Austria - 1816*
*It's a cold winter eve on the lonely streets. One such structure, a disheveled looking building right in the middle of the town, stands out amongst the town with it's eerie appearance. Through the frost-covered windows, we enter a dimly lit room, illuminated by the pale moon light. Walking across the light, a shadowy figure looms through the darkness. Pacing the floor is at most an unusual old man with a look of depression on his face. Course one could hardly read his expression, as most of his face was covered by his long white hair. Lifting his hair back reveals an eye patch over his right eye, though how that happened he'd never tell and nobody knew. One would never guess that such an old fellow like this one is a famous clock-maker and magician, especially at the prime of his youth. This was the man known by many as Herr Drosselmeyer. On this evening, Drosselmeyer was up and about putting the finishing touch on his latest creation: A Toy Castle, the bigges

*Meanwhile, the Nutcracker, Marie and the rest of the dolls continued their journey through the thick, snow covered forest. While all the other dolls had already gone ahead, the small band of adventurers proceeded through the forest admiring the sights. For most of the dolls, they ventured through the snow as if they had traveled down this path more than once. But for Marie, it had given her a different perspective of the world she had known as snowflakes softly fell from the sky, twirling about almost as if they were dancing. Seeing the towering trees all around her, snow as wide as an ocean, and still a long ways to go before reaching their destination, it was so mysterious and magical all the same*
Marie: It's all so beautiful… I never knew such a place even existed.
Nutcracker: Neither did I.
Cassim: There are so many wonders that mankind has yet to fully discover. There's so much to this day that no one knows about… But that's what makes an adventure: To seek the unkno

*For a long moment, Marie's world is nothing but endless blackness. But right around then, she starts feeling a set of sensory stimulus. A loud voice echoes into her mind as she tries to put together on who's calling her. But then feels a sharp pain on her head at the same time. But then, after a while, the voice got clearer and clearer*
???: M-Marie… Marie? Marie?
*Marie slowly opens her eyes as she sees her mother and father looking down at her with worried expressions. Marie lifts a hand to her head and groans as she feels a bandage wrapped around her head. She tries to lift herself up, but only worsens the bruising so the parents bend over to steady her*
Marie: Huh? W-What happened. Why does my head hurt?
Father: Take it easy, Sugar Plum.
Mother: You had a nasty fall last night.
Father: We found you lying on the Parlor Floor, you were unconscious when we found you.
Mother: By the way… What were you doing down there last night?
Marie: My Nutcracker… Th

*Darkness, a void of black where all around was an absence of light. Soft breathing could be heard inside this place, as light slowly shown and an eye struggles to open up. It looks up to see that it is lying on it's back, as he slowly lifts his back and breathes a deep sigh. He turns all around to notice other figures in the area, all of them out cold. There was a man dressed in an old fashion sailor's uniform muttering in his sleep and a human-like rat in Renaissance clothes swishing his tail side-to-side. The viewer then slowly turns to the other side where a night elf rests with it's back along some wall while a Snow Leopard lies curled in his lap and near them was a white robot with the figure of a horse with a cowboy hat knelt down covering it's eyelids matching it's western attire. The figure lifts a hand to his head, feels glasses over his brow, and gently lifts them down as the room now appeared faded. For this would turn out to be the leader of this motley crew of ex

*EO's spaceship blasts the meteorite into pieces and then soars into the picture on its way to a nearby planet. On board, the ship's navigator appear. The creature, known as The Geex, has two heads - one named Idy and the other Ody*
Ody: This planet doesn't look so dangerous, Idy.

*It is late at night over by the Brisby Home, as her children await her return. The youngest mouse, small and yellow, had brown eyes and wore a green bow around her waist. The eldest son, young and gray, wore nothing but a blue shirt. But the eldest of all the children, a young brown female mouse, wore a pink bow on her head, a purple dress with a lilac top and a patch on the skirt. All of them barefoot. These were Brisby's children: Cynthia, Martin, and Teresa*
Martin (OOV): Maybe I should go look for Mom.
Teresa (OOV): I don't think so, Martin.
*All of a sudden, a shrilling elderly voice calls out toward the house. Clearly, a female*

Teresa: Oh! Auntie Shrew!
Cynthia: Oh Auntie!

Auntie Shrew: Rats? "Rats"?
Martin: They'll be here any minute...
Teresa: To move our house over there by the stone!
Auntie Shrew: Wrong!
Teresa: Actually "move" it!
Auntie Shrew: Not while I'M keeping watch!
Cynthia: Auntie Shrew? I'm not afraid.
Auntie Shrew: Afraid, child? I have no fear of those great hulking beasts. And should one of those hairy barbarians come through that door…
*From outside comes the clanking sound of machinery*
Auntie Shrew: *fearfully* Oh! The rats!
*In the Fitzgibbons kitchen, all is dark and silent. Mrs. Brisby sits miserably in a birdcage hanging from the ceiling. Suddenly, she hears a set of clanging and slowly turns around with fear. Suddenly, the cage moves slightly as a hand grips the edge of the cage and pulls itself till the figure's feet are barely along the crude path-like edge of the cage. It is revealed to be Logan*

For other than his friend and mode of transport, Max, a new crew member stands by his side: Popeye the Sailor*
Logan: Steady Max. I can see the ground just below us. Let's make sure we have a soft landing this time.
Logan: *looks to Popeye* How're you holdin' up, Popeye?

*Space, as dark as the eye could plainly see, a vast empty of space of stars that hold their course. In the midst of this mystery scope of blackness, a space craft that had blended within this atmosphere soon becomes visible. This was the Trimaxian space craft, known to it's crew as Max. Within this ship, a sailor sits comfortably on a makeshift chair and yet there were no controls to pilot the ship, which seemed to be doing the flying itself. This particular sailor was Popeye, who lounged himself on the chair singing his signature tune*
