No, not who you were expecting,
But look, I'm smiling, for me
I'm no one pretty, I'm sorry
my smile turns others down
and what sad face I have- they say
Until now it never bothered me- not too much!
But hello again,
I haven't seen you in what seems like an eternity
Do you remember?
We used to sit over there- that's right!
That patch of grass and wildflower, the
swing set we'd sit on at night as children,
looking up to the stars- we'd talk about
how one day when we'd fall asleep forever, we'd be among those too.
I would be a star smaller than yours but we'd be stars together, and
you and I would have our special place, in the sky.
But hello again, hello.
I see you're happy, with her. Not me.
And hello again, why don't you look at me
like you used to?
Like you.. used to.
We'd talk about a family and children- when we were children!
But of course we knew nothing of what or how it actually-
Oh I apologize, I see now why you le

That's right folks! Kintsu (played by yours truly) and Nuri (=creabooty) have received their kitten roll, and 4 liddle babies will be making their way into the world! One of them, sadly, will be meeting a rather tragic end to their brief beginning. Due to stress and changes in the environment, one little she-kit will be still born.
Another kit has already been adopted out. Cassie, the first born in the litter and a future Primary Water-Tribe cat will be played by ~Kounix. She was named after Kintsu's best friend/adopted brother, the Grey-Fire Caspian.
Not to worry though! There are still 2 little kiddos up for grabs ;D But before we get to that, we gotta lay down some rules!

Softpaw, a small built light golden cream-coloured she-cat was walking through ThunderClan's territory. Her rare genetic albino red hues were narrowed and darkened with the usual angered and annoyed expression. She needed to get a break from Chestnutblaze, her mentor and ThunderClan's Medicine cat. She had hated everything about being a Medicine cat, from learning about herbs to healing. It was boring. It was worse then hell itself to Softpaw. Keeping her head held low, the small she-cat had let out a low growl of irritation. Why had StarClan forsaken her? Why did they wish for her to become a Medicine cat? She liked nothing about it! She preferred fighting and hunting, not being stuck in camp half the time, learning about how important each herb is. 'Pft. StarClan and their idiotic ways...' Softpaw had noted to herself, ears flattening against her cranium as she proceeded near by WindClan's border, which to her was a b

3:50 am ~ Luna and the raccoon warriorThe curvaceous panda blushed wildly sitting up right in her chair. She gasped holding her paw to her breast before adjusting her glasses and hunching over her keyboard once more. “Lawrence?!?!?!” she typed vigorously into the message box. “I can’t believe I just role-played with him in that way” she thought waiting anxiously, an embarrassed smile creeping onto her face. “What?? Who are you?” the raccoon warrior replied in a silent speech bubble. Luna sighed lazily chucking her headset as if she had actually been on a real medieval quest. “its me. Lune.” She typed adding force to every key. After clicking send there was a silent tension in the air. Although Luna tried desperately to remain calm about the situation, her heart was racing with both nervousness and excitement. Forgotten Eclipse - Mail!An anxious Synna reported to the Night District's post office at exactly eight o'clock, even though she was not due until eight-thirty. She shuffled nervously as she waited for him by the door, her mind cluttered with the thoughts of all that could go wrong. What if she became lost in Underground Tokyo's labyrinth of busy streets, or neglected to deliver someone's newspaper? There was so much to be anxious about, even when she had explored these streets a dozen times under her mentor's watchful eye and wasted no time in learning even the most meticulous of ropes of the work.
Her coordinator arrived fifteen minutes later, unfazed by her effort to arrive early. He unlocked the door and stepped into his office, emerging several minutes later with a canvas satchel full of newspapers, bound into neat rolls by rubber bands.
Practice at Atmosphere #1Tender sunlight, signaling the start of an important day, shined through a cracked window and upon the withered eyes of Richard. With reluctant hesitation, he awoke, his wrinkled hands pulling away the covers. Carefully he placed his feet against the cold wooden floor, shivering as a chill reverberated through him. "The day has finally come," he whispered to himself in a hoarse tone.Practice at Atmosphere #11 year ago in Short Stories More Like This
With some strenuous effort, he pushed himself to his feet and hobbled over to his cane. He felt the smoothed bark beneath his weary grasp, and could smell the scents of his travels on it. His piercing blue eyes glazed over as he remembered the adventure of his youth and his time spent as a mentor to a young child named Nathan. "Today is a special day indeed," he thought to himself. A smile pushed against the creases of his face.
Noting the occasion, he walked to a cherry-stained dresser and pulled out a tarnished white robe.
Immersive and TranquilImmersive and tranquil are all that come to mind as I relax and look upon the world around me; today is a day for repose. Silent, and yet alive with color and feeling, my mind wanders to every end of the spectacle in front of me. I embrace the chilled air wrought with the scent of pine trees that constituted every nook and cranny of the forest; it was a stark contrast from the stuffy, humid air of my town below. Also missing was the omnipresent voice of my town, always bustling and clanking amid shouts and whistles of its citizens. A tender, howling breeze takes its place. What captures me most of all, however, is the skyline above.Immersive and Tranquil1 year ago in Short Stories More Like This

The gentle plea cut through his terrified mind faster than lightning, reducing the fox-like creature into gasping rapid, short breaths in an attempt to comply and regain some kind of control over himself. Oh, he knew that voice. It was different - deeper, softer, concerned - but he'd know the owner anywhere. Pain began to trickle back into his consciousness slowly but surely, making Farren uncomfortably aware of his

Xiuh stood there, really REALLY doubting they'll find the tomb.
"COME ON, LETS GO! Theres a tomb waiting to be found!" exclaimed Volta cheerfully. She was sure they'd find it, she didnt know what gave her that feeling but still. Xiuh stated, rather negatively at that, "Exactly how are we suppose to find this tomb, in a place crawling with ground types?" The flaaffy thought for a momment, then replied, "You use smokescreen, we run, and if we meet any maractus you use ember!" Xiuh couldnt help but stare, Volta rarely, RARELY ever thought things through. "That's actually not a bad idea..." Volta smiled then grabbed Xiuh and hurries on.

So far Volta's strategy was working, until a sandstorm hit, blowing away any smokescreen Xiuh uses. Xiuh sighed, "Well that plan worked while it lasted..." BeautyPersonally I believe that beauty is not what is, but what is made. We're given a canvas upon which we paint ourselves to the world: our emotions, personalities, lifestyles and talents. What we end up painting is how those who take the time to enjoy our work will see us as, not by what we look like. Therefore beauty isn't what is-some unchanging physical force that doesn't reflect us. It's what is made; how we choose to paint ourselves.Beauty2 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
AG Halloween Event Chapter 1The changing seasons were well and truly evident throughout the ancient woodland which surrounded the Adventurers' Guild; once lush swathes of emerald, sage, celadon and corbeau had long since dissolved into the rich copper-and-rust tones of autumn, bringing with it a chill breeze and a thick, leafy carpet on the forest floor.AG Halloween Event Chapter 12 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

A Snowflake among the StarsHappiness…it seems so simple. And yet it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever tried to grasp. I can think of it and know what brings it. A passion, a hobby, friendships, and beyond all else the one person I can love with everything I have. I can know what drives me to it: what I love to do, who I want to befriend, and who I want to hold in my arms and never let go. I can reach out at the feeling of happiness shimmering right in front of me, its warmth and brilliance irresistible, as if the moment I clench my fist I’ll have it with me forever. But like a snowflake, it melts away, leaving me to try and search for that drop of joy in a sea of strife. Grades, bills, work, eat away at opportunity. Anxiety, depression, insecurity, all weigh down on my shoulders like baggage pressing against every beat of my heart. In this struggle, my mind desperately searches for what looked so sure to me, and I chase after a dream, a love, that will never be. I mean to go to a hill-filled field overflowing with flora,
With cherry-blossomed trees freshly bloomed that fill the air with soaring petals and a colorful aroma,

SerenityA setting sun greeted the young Suki as she stepped from her carriage. Its warmth seeped through her white komono ornamented with pink and red leaves and penetrated the magenta-colored robe underneath wrought with a glimmering snowflake pattern. She felt it tenderly cradle her fair skin and tired muscles, soothing them after a long day of traveling home. The week’s trip to central Tokyo had been unpleasant, filled with gathering after gathering of the highest class of society, small talk that had seemed endless, and little repose. A crisp, summer breeze freed her from these distracting thoughts as it filled her lungs with the scent of flowers and mahogany. Despite the few crickets chirping with the howling breeze, the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet.
