Hidden Feelings... [PewdieCry Story] Chapter 2
My eyes snapped open when I heard a painful scream coming from downstairs. I jumped out of the bed and sprinted down the stairs. It was dark and my eyes didn't adapt to it. I searched the light switch, but couldn't find it. Then I heard a noise coming out of the living room. I ran to the living room only to find Cry sleeping on the couch and the TV on.
I thought the screams probably came from the TV therefore I turned it off. But I still heard something. Ryan was lying on couch, his mask still on but his body was stiff and he whimpered. I stepped closer to him and then I saw his hands were balled into fists and he was clenching his teeth.
I stepped even closer to hear what he murmured: "N-No!...Not him...p-please...take me...but...n-not him!" I didn't know what he was dreaming but it didn't sound good. I softly said: "Cry? You okay? Wake up." I shook his shoulder when all of sudden he snapped up his eyelids and almost hit me with his balled fist. I fell to the ground

I walked back to the living room and leaned against the door frame. I saw Cry sitting on the couch, trying to hide his blushed cheeks with his mask. But I've already seen them. I grinned and thought: 'His cheeks are red like tomatoes. But why? Is it because of what I've said before?' He pushed his mask up and down his face trying to hide as much as he could. I murmured to myself: "Why does he still wear that mask? I want to see what he's trying to hide. But I want to respect his privacy too... uh... god damn." Then all of sudden he noticed me. I could see embarrassment in his eyes.
I walked up to him, thinking: 'Fuck it. I want to see his face. Now!" I stood right in front of him and said: "Cry? Why do you still wear that mask? I'm your best friend. I think I should be allowed to see your face. I'm sure you're hiding it for no big reason."
I could see that he was trembling now. He turned away his face and stared to the ground. I lifted his chin a little so he wa

When I woke up, I was lying in bed with only boxers on. Wait... I did fall asleep on the couch... full dressed and Pewdie was sleeping on the couch too. What happened? Did he carry me up here? Why didn't I wake up? Normally I wake up by the smallest things that happen. But now to the most important question... Why am I only in my boxers? And where the hell is my mask? Did he... Did he take off all of my clothes and my mask?
Felix cut off my thoughts as he walked in and said: "Good morning, my dear Ryan. You ready to head out?" Then he kissed me. I was confused, happy and shocked at the same time. I didn't understand what's going on. Why would he kiss me?! And why did he call me Ryan? He never calls me by my real name! I slowly raised my hand and stroke over my lips where they connected with Felix'.
He walked over to the closet, picked out some clothes and put them right beside me on the bed. He looked me in the eyes and smiled. I was shocked and started to cover my face.

While the hot water was raining down on me, I just got lost in my thoughts. 'I just kissed Cry?! We slept in the same bed and I...', I looked down on myself, 'Well... I kinda had a little problem back there in bed. But why? I didn't think about Marzia since I stepped out of her house. It was just like my thoughts about her were stuck in her parents' house and when I went out and closed the door behind me, the thoughts of her simply stopped. So I don't think I've mixed anything up. I am pretty sure... but then why did I kiss Cry on the cheek? I'm really not gay. At least I think that. I wasn't attracted to any men my whole life but now... I don't know what I should feel. Cry's just... so adorable. Especially when he's sleeping.' "Okay now calm down Felix! You are not going to make a scene. Just stay calm and well... rethink the situation.", I said to myself.
When I rethought everything I came to the conclusion that I should ask Ryan about it but not now. Maybe later to

Still lying there on the ground I couldn't think straight. I felt pain on my face and something warm was running down my forehead. My body was aching all over but it wasn't that painful. Pictures of the last few seconds were raising through my mind. Knives. Some men. Pointing at me and... Felix.
I immediately sat up. I looked around and saw him. He was lying a few steps away from me and was curled up. I crawled to him and managed: "F-Felix... W-What? W-Why? You okay?" He slowly turned his head to me and smiled a little. He had to cough and spit out some blood. Then he said: "S-Sure..." He rolled on his back and I saw the knife. It was stuck in his chest. His t-shirt around the knife was drenched in blood. I just stared at the knife and thought: 'This can't be real. No. This isn't happening. Felix was not stabbed and is now lying here beside me. No! Please let this be a dream.' After a few seconds I pulled my mind together. I put out my phone and quickly called 911. I bri

I woke up 'cause the loud Skype ringing tone coming from my laptop was thrilling in my ears. I was covered with the blanket on my head and the bed was still wet of my tears.
When I looked up to my laptop on my bedside table and saw the picture of Cry. I wiped away my tears and answered his call.
"Hello, my friend" Cry said with a happy and amused voice and with a grin showing under his Cry-mask, but as soon as he saw me he stopped grinning and looked confused... then he asked with concern in his voice: "Uhm... Pewds? What's wrong?"
I just looked down on the keyboard, shrugged my shoulders and then finally said: "N-Nothin..." my voice broke off.
Cry looked at me and said: "Pewds... don't lie to me. I know that something's wrong."
I took a deep breath and managed: "Marzia... s-she... w-we... broke up..."
"What?!" he almost yelled. "Are you still in Italy? At her parents' house?"
I just nodded lightly.

We slipped out of the bed and got ready to head out. After an hour we were almost ready. I slipped into my black Converse, put on my mask and waited for Pewds to come downstairs. I was searching my car keys as Felix came down the stairs. He was wearing navy skinny jeans and some black shoes... but no shirt. I bit my under lip, blushed and thought: 'Damn Felix. Do you really have to do this to me? For god's sake.' I looked away and I asked nervously: "You know that you don't wear a shirt, do you?" He nodded and answered: "Yes I know that I'm not wearing one. Don't worry I'm going to put one on. But I couldn't find one that I'd like to wear today. Then I thought that I did see one of my shirts somewhere here. I guess... in the living room. I don't know why I left it there but... well it doesn't matter."
He walked into the living room and after a few seconds he came back and was putting on a black t-shirt with v-neck and said: "I found it." He looked and me and asked: "Are

I woke up lying on a hospital bed in a room that was almost completely dark. A nurse came up to me and said: "You're awake. How do you feel?" She smiled at me. My voice was kinda gone but I managed: "T-Thirsty." She immediately walked off and came back with a glass of water. After I drank the whole glass, she looked at me for a while until I cleared my throat and said: "Well. I kinda feel stabbed..." I had to giggle a little. "The pain's... okay but could I maybe get a painkiller anyway?" She nodded and got me some. I looked at her and asked: "But uhm... I do have a question. Where am I? I mean this isn't my room or is it?" She answered: "You haven't been operated before, have you?" I shook my head and she continued: "Well this is an anesthetic recovery room. That means here do the patients come after their surgery. They normally get to their room after a few hours. This is kinda of a control room where the nurses look after the patients." I nodded and asked: "Okay an

After I had swallowed the pills, I felt tired, relaxed and a little bit weird. I laid down on my bed, closed my eyes and let my thoughts drift off.
I opened my eyes and stared up into the sky. A soft breeze of wind danced around me. I felt grass underneath my body and I could smell some flowers. I slowly sat up and looked around. There was an old fence in front of me. It looked like it was white a long time ago but now the paint was almost gone and it looked like it would break apart at every second. On the left of me was an old big tree. Some of its leaves laid on the ground. Behind me there was a small and very old house. It didn't look inviting at all. It looked more like a place drug addicts would live in.
I had the strange feeling I was here before. The scene looked familiar but my head couldn't connect the pictures with memories.
I stood up and slowly placed one foot in front of the other one. I took one step at a time. Step. Step. Step. The closer I came th

Cry heard the phone ring.
He was sitting in his computer chair, editing a video for YouTube. He picked the phone up, holding it to his ear with his shoulder. "Mm'ello?"
"Hey, Cry." A familiar voice came from the other side of the line.
Cry instinctively straightened his back. "Hey, Pewds. What's up, man?"
"I called to ask when you were coming to Sweden..?"
"I'm going to Sweden..?" Cry frowned, saving the video and starting the upload process. "When was this, decided, again...?"
"Oh, come on, bro, Marzia wants to meet you, too, you know." PewDiePie argued. "And the videos will be easier to make..."
"Dude, my budget is super tight, this year. I don't know if I can even afford a hotel room, let alone a plane ride." Cry sighed. "... Why don't you two love birds come to America?" He stopped himself from saying anything further. For some reason, his words were almost... sour.
There was silence on the other side of the phone. "Marzia doesn't want to

Three months literally dragged by for Cry. He worked on videos and tried his best to distract himself. He even looked into finding a girlfriend - It was hard to find a woman who hadn't heard of Cry. But, the date didn't go very well... Let's just leave it at that.
And when Pewdie offered for Cry to come back to Sweden for a little while, on the account that Cry told him he got a girlfriend, Cry didn't hesitate to accept. It was technically the truth - He did find a girlfriend, even if it was only for one date.
Pewdie carried some sheets to the guest room, changing the ones on the bed. Marzia saw him and frowned. "What are you doing?"
"I'm setting up the guest room." Pewdie said, tucking the sheet corners under the bed.
"... Is Cry coming back?"
Pewdie glanced back at her when she went silent and saw her face lit up a little. He gave her a confused smile. "What are you so happy about?"

Pewdie silently drove Cry to the airport, barely speaking at all. Cry, likewise, said nothing and stared out the window. Eventually, Pewdie muttered "Come back in a couple months once you've sorted yourself out, Cry."
Cry looked up at him. He wanted to ask him something, but he was certain it would just start another argument. Instead, he just shook his head and pulled the plane ticket out of his pocket. "I guess I'll see you, then." He muttered.
Pewdie pulled into the airport parking lot, turning the engine off. He turned to Cry. "I'm serious. Don't come back until you know what you're doing. We can still Co-Op and stuff, but if you bring any of this up on recording, I'll have to hunt you down and punch you."
Simply shrugging, Cry got out of the car, taking his stuff out of the trunk, once Pewdie popped it, and walking to Pewdie's side of the car. He tapped the window and gave Pewdie a peace sign before walking away.

Cry woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs. He sat up and realized that he had never changed out of his clothes from the day before. Groggily getting out of bed, he quickly slipped on a T-shirt and pair of jeans.
Walking out into the kitchen, Cry saw Pewdie cooking some eggs, his back to him.
"Morning..." Cry greeted with a yawn.
Pewdie jumped a little, but turned and smiled at Cry. "Morning." He pointed to a plate on the counter. "That's yours."
"Thanks..." Cry muttered, taking the plate and walking into the small dining room. He was soon joined by Pewdie, who sat across from him. They ate in an awkward silence. After a moment, Pewdie asked: "Did you want to play Portal Co-Op, after this?"
Cry shrugged. "Maybe - Not right now. I'm not really feeling up to it today, I guess."
"Well, I'll be playing some more Condemned, then." Pewdie said casually. Back to silence. As soon as Cry finished eating, he picked up his plate and put it in the sink, leaving Pewdie i

"Hey, Cry!" Pewdie called from the front entryway. Cry sighed and slowly got up, walking out to his friend. Pewdie was standing next to a girl who was about as tall as him with bright blond hair and sharp blue eyes. She wore a small black dress and had matching pumps on.
Pewdie gestured to her. "This is a friend of Marzia's; Her name is Gertrude. She likes to swim. She's had a long distance relationship, before, and she can fluently speak French, Swedish, English and Klingon, or some crap like that."
Gertrude frowned, but nodded. She gave Cry a small wave. "Hi." She smiled.
"Pewdie, what is..." Cry blinked as Marzia walked by in a strapless, deep purple dress that reached her knees. He noticed Pewdie had a pin striped vest on over a dress shirt, wearing dress pants. Cry sighed. "Are you kidding me, Pewdie?"

Pewdie cringed to himself and pulled the knife out of the cutting board to continue making breakfast. He didn't know exactly what he was going to do about this... But he knew he had to figure something out.
Suddenly, his pocket vibrated. It startled him at first, but he pulled out the phone that was in the pocket and checked his texts. It was Marzia. She texted Pewdie to tell him that her parents are giving him another chance. Marzia was still going to bring home all of Pewdie's stuff, though.
He texted her back about how great it was and how happy he was to be able to stay with her. But something inside him twisted when he hit 'SEND'.
"Oh my god..." Someone moaned behind him. Pewdie turned and watched Cry stumble into the kitchen, gripping the side of his head. He was still missing his shirt. "... Do I smell coffee...?"
"Yes." Pewdie said, turning back to the fruit.
Cry rubbed an eye before grabbing a mug from the cupboard and pouring some coffee in it

Pewdie had been tidying up the kitchen from a breakfast they had earlier. He hadn't bothered cleaning it, yet. He'd been a little distracted. Marzia had walked in while he was sweeping and glanced around.
"I don't really feel like cooking, tonight." She said bluntly. "Did you want to cook?"
"Not really. I can go out and get us all something to eat, though." Pewdie suggested.
Marzia shrugged. "You just cleaned the kitchen. I can go out and get the food."
"Wow. You're such a trooper." Pewdie said dryly, then kissed her before she walked out to get on her coat and shoes.
"Cry," She called into the apartment. "Is there anything in specific you want, tonight?"
There was a slight silence, then Cry opened his door. "You're getting food?"
"... Nothing in specific." He said after a moment.

Cry waited silently in the hallway, trying to calm himself before knocking on the door. He was standing outside Pewdie's door, gripping two pieces of luggage and a large black backpack slung over his shoulder.
Hesitantly knocking, Cry waited for someone to answer the door. He expected Pewdie to get Marzia to answer - Afterall, they hadn't left on very good terms. But, to his surprise, it was Pewdie who answered.
"Sup." Cry grinned, unable to help himself.
Pewdie grinned back, trusting Cry. "Hey, bro - Come on, you know where the guest room is." He beckoned his friend in.
Cry walked in, heading straight for the guest room. He felt like a prisoner who just got out of jail, but is still on probation - He had to watch were he stepped, had to make sure he didn't crunch any toes. He was definitely glad to be back, though.

Cry laid in the guest bed, half asleep. He couldn't actually fall asleep, but he was so tired... The stalemate that haunts everyone. He tried playing a game or two on his phone, and even listening to some music, but he couldn't seem to fall asleep.
Eventually, he got up and walked quietly to the kitchen, getting something - Anything - that could help him fall asleep. He grabbed some milk, warmed it up a little, got a glass of water, and walked back to the room.
Setting the water down, he drank the entire glass of milk, then took a sip of water. He hated the aftertaste of milk that one gets after a couple hours. He laid back down and closed his eyes, trying to sleep, forcing himself to not move at all.
Somehow, he actually managed to fall asleep, though he didn't remember when. But he woke with a start when he realized that someone was standing beside his bed, watching him. He blinked, trying to see in the darkness. At first, he thought it might be

Pewdie waited until Cry left the room to let out a sigh. He rubbed his eyes and looked down at his hands. He hadn't meant to get so angry at Cry. His old friend just hit a nerve. And Pewdie didn't even know if Cry was wrong about what he said, either. He glanced down the hallway that led to the guest room. The lights were turned off.
Pewdie rubbed his beard, then sighed. "I'm an idiot..." He got up and walked down the hallway, to the guest room.
Cry was half sitting up half laying on the bed, his legs crossed, his fingers linked on his stomach. As soon as Pewdie entered the room, Cry opened one eye to loook at him. When he saw who it was that was blocking the light in the doorway, he closed his eye again.
"What?" Cry asked, impatiently shaking one of his feet.
Leaning against the door, Pewdie gave Cry a sideways sympathetic smile. "I'm sorry." He said, after a moment.
This time, Cry opened both eyes. "For what?"
"For... getting so angry at you." Pewdie

The moment Cry closed his door, he started packing. He didn't know when he was leaving, but when he did, he wanted to be ready.
He stuffed all his packed bags under the bag, so it was all together. He left everything out except for his laptop, which he turned on and opened up the browser. He typed in the name of the nearby airport (Which he barely remembered) and searched for the flight times.
The door opened, Pewdie sticking his head in hesitantly.
"What?" Cry asked, not looking up.
"What's wrong with you? I try doing something nice to help you, and you freak the hell out." Pewdie frowned.
"Because I don't want a girlfriend..." Cry murmured, his tone slightly aggravated. "... You know that. I don't understand why you can't see that." He looked back at his laptop. "The fact that you tried to set me up with a random chick hurts."

It's been only a couple days since Cry entered the hospital with his bullet wound. Luckily, Pewdie's friend should be discharged within the week.
Marzia walked into the living room, where Pewdie was sitting with his laptop on his knees. "Have you seen the paper?" Marzia asked him as she gripped a mug of tea. She had the newspaper tucked under her arm. "Cry's in it."
She handed the paper to Pewdie. Cry's story was on the front page, though he has remained anonymous by request. One particular part of the news clipping made him frowned.

Pewdie sat on a chair in a hospital room. It was only a recuperation room, luckily. The doctor had gotten the bullet out of Cry's shoulder - They said he was lucky he didn't get any permanent damage to his arm. There will be a permanent scar, though.
Cry hasn't woken up yet, and Pewdie hasn't slept. He didn't know how long it's been. He'd been sitting beside the bed, the whole time, gripping Cry's hand. He was scared to let go.
Often, as he sat there, Pewdie thought about what would have happened if it was Marzia or himself who got shot. He actually got a call from Marzia, who said the the intruder had been caught - They had stolen some money. The reason they shot Cry was because he woke up and saw the burglar. They had freaked out, thinking Cry could see them, and shot point blank at him.

Getting up from the bed, Pewdie crossed the hall to the bathroom, closing the bedroom door behind him. He doubted he'd be able to get back to sleep, again.
After finishing in the bathroom, Pewdie paused in the hallway. He thought he heard what sounded like... muffled music. He turned. The music was coming from the guest room. It seemed Cry was awake, still.
Knocking gently on the guest room door before opening it, Pewdie stepped into the room, closing the door behind him.

When Cry was finally discharged from the hospital, he left as soon as he could, Pewdie and Marzia at his side.
Pewdie was hoping that maybe Cry was just stir-crazy and that he'll be fine once he's settled back at the apartment. Then they could get back to making videos... and maybe things will be normal, again. Hopefully.
Marzia was talking to Cry about things he's missed, trying to cheer him up.
On their way back to the apartment, they stopped by a park. Pewdie wanted to get Cry walking around outside. But, after a while of walking around, Cry had to sit down on a bench. After being in a hospital for that long, barely moving, your muscles become fairly weak.

Pewdie walked through the halls of the hospital, a white plastic bag in his hand containing home-cooked food from Marzia. He gave a friendly wave to the receptionist as he walked past her, turning down the hallway Cry's room was in.
Today was a very relaxing day. The halls in the hospital were silent, short of the nurses speaking to patients and the occasional phone call. A couple nurses who recognized him would greet him cheerfully.
The door to Cry's room was closed. Did they move him to a different room? Or was he finally discharged? Pewdie knocked lightly on the door and hesitantly opened it. And the inside was quite an... unusual sight.
Completely covering the bed were pieces of paper, carefully cut into a circle an drawn on. On each piece of paper was two large dots and a straight, horizontal line; The Cry mask. Pewdie closed the door behind him, his brow knitted together and mouth agape as he tried counting all the little masks.
