Oh love that will not let me go.One day in the future, I hope to be a parent - a role that reflects Christ's Father heart towards His elect. I know that in my role as a parent, there will be times when my children, in their younger years, will kick and scream for their own way, because they can't see what is best for them, and are blinded by their own desires. They can't see that sometimes, what they want is dangerous, and could harm them.Oh love that will not let me go.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
As we get older, we think we are much too adult and wise to throw a tantrum, but are we? I'll tell you that I'm not. Even though Daddy God is looking after me, I can find myself looking for the easiest way to self-satisfaction, rather than waiting on God's perfect will to unfold, in God's timing, in His way. I find myself seeking satisfaction, pleasure and comfort outside of Him, and then even getting surprised that none of those things outside of His will and plans, give me life in its fullness, but rather they rob me of my joy, my happiness, my peace and my true

Magic TreesTrees have always been something more than just plants to the mankind. The worship of trees might be forgotten, but still the symbol of tree survives in our subconscious. Almost every nation has myths and legends about trees, placing the tree as the central axis of the world, or worshipping it as a dwelling place of gods or spirits, the giver of knowledge, connection between worlds or as ancestors of the tribe.Magic Trees5 years ago in Art Features More Like This
In Norse mythology, a giant ash tree - Yggdrasil - represents "axis mundi", around which the 9 worlds (the world of people - Middle-earth, being one of them) are organized. A giant snake, Níðhöggr, gnaws at its roots, but they always grow anew.

Photography Troubleshooting: Money MattersAs a photographer money is one of the most trickiest things to deal with. Competing in the local market not only for services but also in finding the cheapest but best quality way of providing albums and prints is a challenge. The difficult thing is knowing where to start with making a bit of money from your photography. Believing in yourself, whilst the corniest thing to say, is the trickiest for many. But you can do it. Making money, getting clients and building your photography is never going to be possible if you don't first believe in the service that you offer and the capabilities that you have.Photography Troubleshooting: Money Matters3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Approach a magazine
In most countries there are popular photography magazines that nearly always have a 'submit your work' to us page. Some people think this is egotistical and vain, but honestly it's not. If you're reading this, you more than likely have more than one deviation in your gallery here on deviantART. If you aren't submitting your wor

What is the Alliance, you ask?
The Alliance is a project group intended to encourage visual and literary artists to work together. I've felt for some time that the dA Literature Community can at times be somewhat insular - to its detriment. We in the Lit Community are also sometimes prone to griping about the lack of exposure our work receives when compared to that of visual artists. So in the spirit of ^thorns brilliant

The work with most votes wins a 3 months sub, our usual prize.
Follow the RULES to VOTE...AND EVERYONE VOTING and ING THIS BLOG will enter a draw to win 100 . The participants may and should click the Favourite Button too - you have

Well here I am again, having finished another sketchbook. They say sketchbooks are really personal items, and I really agree to that. I don't know why, but especially this time around, this particular sketchbook contains a lot of my personal feelings. I kind of took a more personal perspective this time, drawing things around me, writing ideas in it. For the more personal part it's mildy encrypted. So unless you were a big creeper then you'd read through it. The more legible notes are either diary entries or lyrics and quotes. Please note that this sketchbook has travelled with me for half a year, almost every day. It's been a close companion so this means a lot to me. I hope some of you can enjoy this book as much as I have. It's been a

A Moment of Zen
From a person simply closing his or her eyes for a moment on the subway ride home to the annual gathering of over 2 million pilgrims traveled to Mecca in the annual Hajj, the rites and rituals of prayer can be as personal or as ritualized as one’s spiritual self might require. The stopping for a moment’s meditation in hopes of a revelation as to how to proceed is a universal “medicine” we all need sometimes.
