The sound of her soft-soled boots made an uncharacteristic amount of noise as they carried her through the hallway of the Fire Nation royal palace. Aang and Toph slowed to a fast walk so Katara could catch up. Toph snorted. "Sugar Queen, that's not what we're running for, believe me."

Toph just smirked. "Oh ho ho, like you wouldn't believe, Sugar Queen. Now come on! We gotta hurry!" Toph grabbed Aang and Katara's hands and sped off toward the cafeteria. They ran throu

She hates the smell of wet cloth. Its always worse when theyre drying- and the wind carries the smell to her wherever she goes- than when shes actually washing them. Sokkas clothes are, unsurprisingly, always the dirtiest. Now that most of the men have gone off to war, hes had to take over a lot of the fishing duties. He doesnt complain- quite the opposite, in fact- but somehow he always comes back smelling like fish guts, even on days when he doesnt catch anything. Other than that, her brothers job is to take out the refuse at the end of each day, and Katara must admit, shes glad to not be stuck with that particular chore.
Yet another cleaning day dawns, and Katara carries the sopping wet, newly washed
