So here i was trying to draw something random. I got to drawing the hand and i screwed up the paper. Cz i cant draw hands. So here are a couple of studies of the clost fist. Kind hurt my neck trying to look at my fist at different angles. And the bottom is a random try at figuring out how the torso would look. So now i need some one to turn and model for me to do this. I should really do more life drawings
Theres this empty bit of tunnel that has nothing on the walls. And there was some really crap graphiti taggin that was done, so i thot, why not put up some good stencils on the walls that are thought provoking and meaningful. So i decided to do some stencils of some famous activists in history. Starting with!!...MALCOLM X!!!..if u dont know him, go read up on him
WIll put up a picture of the stencil when im done...
Well here I am again with another anatomy drawing, with labels! Wohoo! Like youd care. I kinda will have to eventually. Personal comments? well i guess it could have used a little more shading on the right hand side of the top of the forehead, it makes it look very shiny there no? And the rest was pretty straightforward. Took me a while to get the smoothness of the shading coz im using a 0.5 lead to the whole thing. Kinda hard to blend with such a tiny end...though i think it did okay, for the most part. I have to say i like the inside of the eye sockets, or the orbitals as is known. Close up of it should be on the way soon. Didnt know wat to put anatomical drawings under....should it be technical illustration or general people drawing, cz its not really people right...its dead people...oops..haha..so it is people!
I have seriously thought what type of art i want to do, what i want to be best in, and i have decided that i want to really master anatomy. Get good with those wacky angles, crazy perspectives and flowy figures.
I have decided to start bone studies, move on to proportion, muscles and finally put them all together. I am doing some loomis-bridgman studying on my way, and i am trying to draw better figure drawing as i go, don't worry ^^
Hope these will also be helpful to you ~
NOTE THAT THE PROPORTIONS OF THE FEMUR ARE WRONG DUE TO LACK OF SPACE xD
Sedlec is a suburb to Kutna Hora, a town in south Bohemia that once flourished due to its mined silver reserve. It is about an hours travel from Prague and is famous for the All Saints ossuary which contains the bones of over 40,000 people. In the 14th century, the Black Death spread the bubonic plague across Europe and 30,000 bodies all wanted a resting place within the sacred church grounds. In 1870 Frantisek Rint, a wood carver and artist was employed by the Schwarzenberg family to imaginatively compose the bones into works of art; amongst his creations are the Schwarzenberg familys coat of arms, and a chandelier containing every bone in the human body.
Back to anatomy before I forget what I've learned so far. Today's lesson was femur (thigh bone). Oh my, what a lovely bone. Did you know it was the longest bone in the human body? Waaaaaaaaahh, I didn't. Oh my I'm getting cleverer with every bone.
