Purging this account was more exhilarating than I expected. Mainly because it reminds me of how badly I played and broke the game known as deviantART. Really though.
Let's look at the interesting fact that I've been on the front page more times than I can count on my hands and toes and I've received 3 daily deviations as well as seniority. All for the price of being a major dick who picks just the opportune moments to pretend to have a heart [which I don't, by the way. Not for a crowd of posers looking to reap the benefits of being a follower].
Admittedly, you're all not like that--in fact a good many of you are great people trying to improve yourselves as artists. But then there are those morons who do nothing but follow. Followers who enjoy sitting there and vacantly hoping someone notices you. They won't. Unless you're amazing beyond comprehension--but most of you aren't. Sorry, it's true. I have had countless people noting me and asking me to advertise for them or they'll s
Bitching About April Fools on DeviantartLets get a little perspective, peopleBitching About April Fools on Deviantart1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I Know that it is common knowledge that the art-world generally regards deviantart as a beckon of professionalism and respectability. To see something like this while browsing for serious prospective employees on another busy work sunday on a serious talent search site that is totally serious business guys is totally going to get you banned from the art world and loose you all the jobz you would have gotten that day! This is an outrageous prank! This is not what DA is about!
Come on guys, perspective.
If your gallery is so important to your life and career that you can not stand to have even one of your precious thumbnails momentarily obscured lest every employer decide that cats are no longer the "in" thing this year and black list you from the industry, you probably shouldn't be on DA. Yes, some people get a lot of traffic from DA, but lets be honest, this is not an appropriate site in which to host any kind of serious portfolio. Fine,

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table during SMASH- whether to buy, look or just to say hi! Although, it was actually mostly :iconpet-chan: who was manning my table, so if you remember a gorgeous hime-fringed girl, THAT WAS HER+*+*+
Even though I wasn't at my table much, throughout the time that I WAS there, I have to say that I am so glad to have SMASH as my last fan trading event. The crowd was just so friendly, and all the customers I met were all

Hey yo lets talk about bravery.I'm gonna say this before I rant...Hey yo lets talk about bravery.1 month ago in Personal More Like This
This is something that is more suited for tumblr or Facebook. Either or...but...I dunno. It just seems like something I should put on deviantArt instead.
Anyway, lets begin:
What is bravery anyway?
In movies, bravery is shown as fighting dragons or evil creatures, shouting at your worst enemy or throwing yourself in the line of fire for your friend/boyfriend/girlfriend/family's sake.
Well....yeah, that is bravery, I guess.
But being brave can mean a lot of things. It can mean trying new experiences, even if you doubt yourself every step of the way. It can mean asking a teacher a question, when you don't want to seem stupid or make a fool in front of everyone. It can be putting up your hand in class to answer a question, despite the fact that some people will think of you as being smart or trying to show them up. It can be stepping on stage to receive something you've worked so hard for, even though you're terrified at the thought of people even looki
Please read!Well, first of all, I would finally like to introduce everyone to my new account made solely JUST for prints. As of right now there isn't anything new up there, just old pics form this account I really needed to get out in the world. Please read!10 months ago in Personal More Like This

Look at it, watch it, love it, buy stuff from it? Just for anything i see WORTH selling I'm going to put up there instead of here. I'm still going to be putting up art down here, just not prints, the regular stuff.
I don't know if you've heard, but I have been sick for a very long time and it is hitting me harder and faster. It looks like I won't ever be able to work again, leave out of my wheelchair while I'm out in case I seize and hurt someone during a fall, or hurt myself. Art and my family are all I have left. My family isn't doing so hot. The children are cooping with it, yes. But with Scott being the only able body to

Things to Avoid When Making ComicsOr, Things That Really Annoy CrowbarThings to Avoid When Making Comics2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Edit April 16: Given recent comments, it's come to my attention that the tone I've used is too derogatory and using others' work as examples was a huge mistake. I've rewritten it to be what I hope is more constructive, and removed the examples (since half were missing anyway). My intention with the examples was only to provide example of that one element, not to completely defame the authors or insinuate their entire comic is shit. All the examples had good and bad to them, but the focus of this write-up is the bad. [/edit]
The majority of these issues are things I see in OCT entries and could be easily avoided and/or improved on. Please be aware that these are things I find issue in, and some points may be more subjective than others. For most points, I've explained why I think it's wrong, what can be done to fix it, and how it can be made to work well. Above all, think about how each element of your comic impacts the narrative and

I believe in deviantART. Which is to more accurately say I believe in the concept and the reality of the deviantART community.
When in contemplation of the eternal wellspring that is the deviantART project and how it has become the engine keeping my heart and mind on a full burn as I strive to be an upstanding member of the community as well as a helpful architect and eager participant in the conversation -- my thoughts inevitably settle upon my attempts to define my concept of Gratitude.

A first step into this world consisted of a simple return to the practice of
