This is the PGA-06 Cyclone, a prototype deep strike GA that was being developed for the Zenith Squadron. It was stolen before the initial christening like the SGA-01 Marduk [link] by Symbiotian forces, along with three other units. Being based off the I-07 [link], albeit more streamlined and with added stealth features, this unit was designed to go where no other GA could go. Being without the plates covering the stomach, this GA is capable of extreme flexibility, and improved height while jumping. This Unit is armed with two arm-mounted rope dart launchers with 4 darts, and cables in each launcher. The wings have bladed edges making for better hit and run strikes, slashing as it goes, and mounted heavy-cable darts for a larger reach and more killing power. Throwing knives are kept in dispensers all throughout the armor, and on top of that it can still carry firearms for further uses. More weapons and defensive mechanisms are yet to be revealed in this unit. The complex tracking of all the wires is done through AI computations, and most of the armor's flight controls are manipulated with a fly by wire system that came hardwired with the GA. This unit is part of the unique fighting squadron called Prometheus, to level the field of battle against technologically superior enemies.
Been playing lots of MGS Peacewalker via the HD collection on PS3. So grateful that it was ported to the PS3! Ironic that what is by far the biggest Metal Gear Solid game was built for the PSP, Sony's smallest console. Hideo Kojima having a laugh?
Was inspired to do some Metal Gear artwork, so I hit up to color his excellent original design. Always thought it was spot-on w/ the MGS style:
Ultimate goal is to feature Kappa in "Outer Heaven" (the massive ocean rig that functions as home base in MGS Peacewalker). Man, I wanna live there... Sorta have been past few days. Leaning towards an MSF motif for that reason.
BTW folks, I designed an MSF T-shirt and stuff for other Peacewalker nuts. I'm so getting a hoodie. [link]
Hey I can legitimately say it's been a while since I made a mech! Or At least I think it has. Just a sketch that I had done that I decided to ink and follow through with copic markers. Don't give them enough love. Not sure that the colors match the drawing as well as they should here but they're pretty close. Feels a little like one of the commanders for Planetary annihilation. Little taller though.
