Where is my mind?Where is my mind?Where is my mind?1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
It has drifted from me.
Contradicted me and threw me in the sea.
Only to float up from the air left inside,
This sickened and twisted corpse.
Left after the party and rotting slowly.
The sting of the blade upon skin.
What do you risk for your eternal rest?
Nothing since your just throwing it away,
to see it staring back at you in the mirror.
where is my mind gone but on the floor.
Useless to you anymore.
Melt-7-7-13: Life Imitates Art Part I“Ring around the rosy a pocket full of spears. The sands of time have run out for all of you!” I cackled. The stage lights were bright and the audience was large. It was almost enough to be distracting, but we all kept on trucking. “The last to go will see the first three suffer before her, and her mangy little mutt too!” I menaced. I loved this role, I got to scream and overact to the point of absurdity and yet no one would call me on it. The other night, I had even made a little kid in the audience cry. It was my proudest moment.Melt-7-7-13: Life Imitates Art Part I5 months ago in Short Stories More Like This
I raised the broom up gesturing at each of the cast. “Eeny meny miny mo, who shall be the first to go?” I grinned. The dynamic team all cowered and cringed as they should. “Lion? Girl? Tin man?” I asked gesturing at each of them as the line suggested. “No…. My broom has chosen scarecrow!” I cackled. I had never understood that line but whatever. The scarecrow fell down in fear as I appr
Project: Melt-Gift-Gina/WWW-6-19-2013The book was heavier than she remembered. She held a match to the candle for light which fell down over the book illuminating the dusty old pages. She ran a finger along the worn out inky words trying to make sense of them. They were in another language, yet some of the words made sense. Not that she could read the words as they still just looked like squiggly nonsense to her, but that she could understand what they meant.Project: Melt-Gift-Gina/WWW-6-19-20136 months ago in General Fiction More Like This
She had done this every night since she had returned home spending hours in candle light understanding things she couldn't read. Tonight however, everything made just a bit more sense. Enough that she finally was able to understand the writing to a point where she could speak it. However it was only one line that she felt comfortable speaking, as it was her deepest desire for five years. She took a deep breath, and spoke a language she had never known.
"Akar. Ifin Grin Nom." The words felt so strange leaving her lips, and she couldn't guess at their exact meaning, bu

Screams tearing at the fabric.
What to do with the beast inside.
Reeling from the gashes at it rips out.
Fighting, hiding it from the loved,
Hoping they can't see your demon.
The power building as the anger grows,
Bursting from your body as it overflows.
Why should you fight it when you want it.
The release of letting it flow.
Knowing it could kill and destroy all,
Smiling as it hides again.
Waiting for its time to burst.
The demon hidden in your flesh and bone.
