It's been a while since I posted the Yakuza Bodypaint images - tonight I remembered that I had these indoor shots after seeing the artwork that Pin Up artist Nicole Brune is working on based on this look of mine.

These were the first shot we took after completing the bodypaint. The quality of these indoor photos are low due to not having a proper studio set up, hence we went outside (hiding me nekkidness as much as possible from the public eeep!) for the really nice location photos (see below).

But you can see the paint job and colors really well in these pics!

About the project: In October 2009 I was painted up by Master Body Painter Nick Wolfe! We've been friends for years but never had the chance to collaborate before this bodypaint. Nick suggested something Asian inspired and I blurted out "Yakuza tattoo!" and the idea for this theme was born!

Nick did the painting in 4 and a half hours, using Diamond FX paint. He looked up the kanjis for "Dragon Queen" and painted them as well.
For those who don't take the time to read my Profile info, yes I am the model in these images.
I did the face makeup and hair, inspired by traditional Japanese Geisha, and modernized. I also bought traditional Japanese hair pins, and the over kimono was made by me, originally for my XXXHolic cosplay. I love being able to re-use costume parts haha. Close up of the dragon, painted by Nick Wolfe. The kanji in the golden sphere is "dragon" of course.

This is by far the toughest and most demanding (creatively) project out of the entire year. Every part you see in off white color are parts that had to be custom sculpted and molded, then cast into repeated mechanical looking parts to be combined into the sculpt. So No I didn't just found parts and put it in there.

The little pipes that curve all were pre-fabricated into 3 different types of pipes cast in resin then heated to bend around forms and shapes so that it looks like part of the sculpture.

The blue thing you see on the back part of the head was also fabricated and sculpted from parts I SCULPTED. Each of the afterburner flaps was sculpted, mold and cast into 9 individual pieces then combined with a larger sculpt, then molded and cast again in fibgerglass bowl-like shell so that its hollow and lightweight.

Whatever money the client pay, pretty much all of it "is on the Screen" so to speak. Meaning the budget's project is spent on physical materials rather than labor.

Luckily I got an extension on this, I've been working 16 hour days and my mind was going insane.

Liam I hope you are liking this.

You've just returned from a long stay away to the Firelink Shrine and next thing you know... Your Bonfire Keeper is dead. Well... What's an undead like yourself supposed to do? With the handy dandy Black Eye Orb you can summon yourself as a Spirit of Vengeance and track down the fool who disrespected you.

Not interested in pursuing him? She wasn't very talkative anyway? Well... With the Blue Eye Orb you will be allowed to hunt others down as a Spirit of Vengeance, as long as you of course are a member of the Blade of the Darkmoon Covenant.

Say you aren't all into that vengeance stuff and you just wanna kill people. Once you are all signed up with the Darkwraith covenant, you can be free to use your Red Eye Orb to invade all the undead forever and ever.

So whatever your need and desire we have the orb for you!

I custom make these here: leapinglizardcosplay.storenvy.…
