Odyssey IIHey Everyone this is Alex,Odyssey II3 years ago in Personal More Like This
On Monday Odyssey II begins!
We're looking for writers, poets, artists, filmmakers, imaginers and Barker fans to help bring this story to life. Be creative, be adventurous, be fantastical, be fearless!
As we all know, Clive has no limits in his creativity - films, books, art, photography. Be inspired by the unfiltered imagination of his work, which have no bounds. Have fun with this, and can't wait to see what you come up with.

My Best Motivational TipWhen I become overcome with the guilt and shame and fear as a result of my constant procrastination, I have one trick to get me off my ass that works every time.My Best Motivational Tip3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Now, lots of other people and blogs and whatever are all like "look how lucky you are" and "puppies and rainbows" and "if you get it done now, you'll feel better" and lots of other positive shit. While all this stuff is true, I'm still playing Assassin's Creed II for like four hours a day. It doesn't motivate me at all. I still don't want to write a 500 word essay on the subtle differences between the book and the film adaptation of The Road that's due, like, tomorrow.
So here's what I think of.
"Michael Bay wants me to fail."
Insert your own celebrity arch nemesis if you want to, but basically choose someone so crap that it makes you angry. Preferably someone who's getting paid buckets of money to do whatever they do to piss you off.
Competitive nature and the desire to prove your chosen asshole wrong should take over.

The latest graphic tablets (now affordable for most anyone,) matched with the latest high-definition screens (displaying billions of colors,) connected to the latest computers (whose size are measured in inches and not feet,) all to render work near instantaneously. It's hard to imagine that with what we have today, publishers and artists were using these same types of devices as much as 40 years ago to set type, scan images, or even draw pictures.
So if you were an artist in the late 1970's, what would it have been like?
Well, click here (or above) to watch a video to get a bit of an idea.
If that's anything to go by, straight-up drawing was still a little out of reach. But you could scan drawings, save them, view them on a screen, scale them,

Anthony Holden is a professional artist/animator in the US and is just plain fun. His work is light-hearted, charming, and full of character. He's a dad alongside his professional art career, so he does a lot of "life journal" style illustrations and comics (usually animated) about recent life events or happenings along the way. Elsewhere, his work just makes me smile and laugh.

Skills To-Do List 2012- Learn how to paint digitally. I don't really know how to paint digitally, to be honest with you. That is, to straight-up just paint a picture. My work is very reliant on the technical skill of my line art. This causes my art to be colored like an animation cell, never painted. I fill my colors like flats, then apply shading over that. Never any build-up, the line art always remains in the final. When I do paint, it takes a long time, or I lose interest because it's not coming together as quickly as I'd like. Thus, gotta learn more so I can broaden my abilities to work professionally. I'd kill to be able to do half the things I see lots of game industry concept painters pull.Skills To-Do List 20123 years ago in Personal More Like This
- Learn how to choose colors better. You all think I'm good with color, but I've been telling you guys for a while now that I'm really not. I color in primaries, usually using just the default photoshop swatch palette, and not making a lot of mixing on the canvas. My mind breaks stuff down in the wr

Well Tiny Toppers ( I've been dying to say that XD) I have an exciting announcement!!
We've begun to make FULL SIZED Top Hats! :iconsobeautifulplz:
I'm so excited to announce this because I know it's been suggested to us a lot and we've thought about it a lot as well and we just decided to go for it! We've already made a full sized Classic Mad Hatter and I will probably post pictures of it tomorrow ^__^
I'm excited to see what everyone thinks, and if everyone has a favorite hat they'd like to see turned full size!! ^___^ Which hats do you think would go over best in full top hat form? :iconawwwplz:
I can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts
Anyways, That's all for now! We will be attending a few cons in the upcoming weeks, but I'll write another journal about that ^_^ I just couldn't wait to tell everyone
I hope you're all staying fancy, keeping your pinkies up, and waxing your mustaches
