My Dragon Family PrologueIt was close to sunset as two siblings, brother and sister were walking home. The sister is named Jessica and she is 17 years old. Her younger brother is named Kyle and he is 10. Kyle is complaining to his sister, "Why do they have to tease me about this bracelet?"
In their family, they had a tradition to make a bracelet of crystal beads worn when a child turned 10 years of age. The beads were of various favorite colors of each family member. Kyle was being teased by schoolmates since he had begun wearing his.
"Well, Kyle, it's our family tradition. Don't let their teasing brother you."
The tradition had a story behind it. Their grandfather had wanted sons to share his passion for hunting and carving. However grandmother only bore him one child and that was their mother. He didn't know what to do with a daughter though he loved her so. One day grandmother suggested that they take up mak
Life As A Dragoness Ch 1 My name is Sarah. You can call me Sassy. My life as an 18 year old is pretty normal- well normal for someone with autism. Once in a while I would like some adventure in my life. But then my life with autism seems pretty adventurous. Then one Saturday afternoon I found myself in an adventure much bigger than my life with autism.Life As A Dragoness Ch 14 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
It was a Saturday afternoon. When I was done watching television I went to work on some homework. Luckily, my friend Lyndsey called and asked to go on a bike ride. My parents said it was okay. I grabbed my backpack and went to get my bike. I sped off to meet her at the park.
“Hey Sarah, wanna go check out that abandoned school on the other side of the park?”
“I am not sure about that…” I replied.
“Oh come on!” said Lyndsey.
“Well…okay…”I said nervously.

"Come on, honey, you have to get up and get ready for church." my mom said.
"All right mom," I said sleepily.
Then I slowly crawled out of bed and headed into the bathroom. After I was done in the bathroom I went back into my room to find my Sunday clothes. It was a blue sundress, with little white flowers on it. It was one of my favorite dresses to wear to church because it was my favorite color and it wasn't too fancy. I thought to myself, "This dress is just right. Nobody likes a dress that is too fancy." I walked over to my bookshelf to get my Bible. From here I could see where I had hidden the shard the day before. The shard looked like it was glowing through the bandana I had wrapped it in. I started to worry about it being found by someone else. Even if someone
Life As A Dragoness Ch 4The morning sun awoke me as it shone in my bedroom window. Squinting my eyes against the light, I stretched like a cat waking up from a nap. I could only sleep on the floor with a blanket because of my size. I got up and tried to open the door with my dragon claw slipping on the knob. I got it open and walked as carefully as a still sleepy dragoness could. My parents were at the dining table eating breakfast and talking in low tones apparently not to wake me. I overheard them discussing the dilemma of how to negotiate a day with a dragon in the house. They were startled as I came in.Life As A Dragoness Ch 43 years ago in Settings More Like This

"Yes, it's me." I answered.
"This is just as shocking to me as it is to you." As I spoke, I noticed how my voice had changed. It was clearer and more precise. I liked my new voice. In my new form, I tried to stand up. I found that I was taller than before as I looked down on my parents.
New Life, New Naga PrologueHave you ever heard of a creature call Naga? It’s a large snake with arms like that of a human being. Some have the head of a cobra; others have a head of a python. They can be 15 to 20 feet long from head to tail. The ones with a cobra head are venomous while other kinds are not. Their scales are extremely tough; even bullets can hardly penetrate them. They are also extremely strong; strong enough to kill three people with one squeeze of their coils. Some people believe they are just monsters. Evil creatures that just want to come out to swallow people whole. I don’t believe that all of them are like that. How do I know? I am one. This is the story on how I became a Naga and now live as one.New Life, New Naga Prologue2 years ago in Settings More Like This

The Naga's Bite Ch 1"Today is a perfect day to go camping," thought Amanda. Amanda was a country girl who loved going camping. If she was given a choice between a shopping day at a mall or a day outside, she would chose the great outdoors. Today she was hiking along a path in the woods, in her native state of Montana, and admired all the wild plants and creatures as she went. It was almost sunset and she was about to head home, then she noticed the strange track in the dust. The track was long and smooth. After a moment, she heard a breathy sound like something
The Dragon in Me Part1I was just walking around in the city. It was a wonderful day in the middle of the summer. The sun had just risen and was shining in my face. I had decided to take an early walk and was now on the way home. I was crossing the road when it happened. A car hit me from the side. When I was flying the whole time seemed to slow down and I felt something rush through my body. Then I blacked out and crashed against the wall. The driver of the car just went on like nothing had happened. For my luck the next passenger that saw me called the emergency ambulance. They came quickly and brought me to the hospital. When they found out who I was they informed my parents, who came as fast as the could. When they reached the hospital they were led to my room. I had to look terrible. Right from the first day, being part dragon had never been pleasant. Oh, sure, it might seem like some fantasy geek's dream come true, but take it from me, the whole thing is much closer to a nightmare.
Let's see if I can explain this.
Friday night I was a regular, slightly pudgy guy, and by Saturday, I looked like a giant lizard on steroids. You know what? I hate scales. I hate them. They rub against each other all the time, whenever you move; it's almost like wearing chain mail. Except it's attached to your skin.
Oh, and then there was the actual dragon I'd merged with, who had a nasty habit of arguing with me inside my head.
This is a ridiculous mode of transportation was his current complaint, as I rode my bike down the street. Thankfully, being half dragon comes two-for-one with basic shapeshifting abilities, so I was able to revert mostly back to human form when I wanted. The bad news: I still had two plates of ar
AerieYet again it was time for plowing. I dreaded this time of year since it meant that I would have to work next to the horses for long periods. Once, I had asked my father why he did not plow while I cleared away the rocks. He had replied that I was too young to be doing such heavy work. I wasn’t sure about that, but I was not one to argue with him.Aerie3 years ago in Settings More Like This
So this year, like every one previously, he hitched up the horses, lined the plow up for the first furrow, turned to me as I stood off to the side and said, "Alright, all yours."
I stepped forward, took the reigns, and like every year that I could remember, the horses instantly began blowing and stomping nervously. "Go ahead,” my father encouraged. So I started. Reins hooked around my neck so that my hands were free to guide the plough, grip on the handles just tight enough to keep it under control. With a click of my tongue, I ordered the horses forward. Except the horses didn’t wait for any kind of order.

I slumped on my chair and sighed. It had been a hell of a weekend. I worked nearly non-stop for two days and I was dead tired. Cashier life isn't as easy as one might think, particularly at this time of the year: Christmas. Fortunately, I was free to do whatever I wanted for the next two days, and I'd take the most advantage of it.
I snapped out of my thoughts and called my supervisor to end my working day. She arrived rather quickly, to my surprise. Looks like I wasn't the only one looking forward to a comfortable bed. She "bled" out the money on my pay-box, cashier jargon, and I quickly counted fifty Euros, the fund, for the next worker for the following day. We then proceeded to the vault and deposited everything there. Minor pleasantries and goodbyes exchanged, I went to the changing room to trade my uniform, which consisted on a white shirt, black trousers and steel toed shoes, along wi

Regardless of his nickname, Josh himself loved dragons. Even at 16, he had always wished he could meet one. Oddly enough, Josh could actually sympathsize more with dragons than with most humans.
Some of Josh's "dragon-like" traits were the fact that he was a loner. He didn't have many friends. The reason for his having so little friends was because he was very skeptical about new people, even more so than most others. He also hated being around a lot of people. Whenever he was in a large group, even if it wasn't that many people, he always felt too cramped. His parents and teachers thought he may possibly have had some form of autism.

Everyone turned around to find an older woman standing in the doorway. She had a slightly wrinkled face and long, gorgeous silvery hair.
"Umm Can we help you with something?" Titus asked.

"Was there someone you were looking for?" Sarah asked.
"Yes. I was looking for him." Said the woman, pointing an aged finger at Titus.
"Me?" Titus asked, having no clue as to why a woman he had seemingly never met would be looking for him.
Titus had no idea who this woman was. He almost certainly had never met her before today and was baffled by how someone he had never met seemed to know him. He assumed that she could have been one of the residents of Baker Valley coming to thank him and his friends.
Drake carefully watched this old woman. Unlike his father, he was certain that he had seen her somewhere before. He tried to recall just where. Soon it came to him. He was certain he knew who she was.

Chapter 1: The Tale of Cynia
On top of a rocky mountain top covered in snow from the winter storms there was a cave. In the cave were stalagmites hanging from the ceiling that would make the cave seem like the inside of a beasts jaw. Jade, ruby, and even some pieces of gold laid scattered on the cold floor of the cave along with a sleeping dragon hatchling.
The dragon hatchling was female. Her scales were a beautiful green which covered her entire body except her underbelly which was a tan color. The spikes running down her back were yellow and were neatly spaced all the way down her spine. The horns on the top of her head were very white along with her claws on all four of her legs. Her wings laid flat across her back and her tail wrapped around her body as she continued to sleep.
A few moments later a larger dragon that had blue eyes and very similar characteristics to the dragon hatchling flew into the entrance of the cave
