Thank you Brian for grabbing some shots during the Atlanta Fight Club event, celebrating the new game Marvel vs Capcom 3. I was one of the five hired costumers for the night, we stood on podiums and posed as the characters, as well as took pictures with the fans.

After that night, my Felicia costume is retired, but only because I am making a new one! I'll probably only re-use the wigs (I have the blue and pink wigs) and the base shoes for which I made the furry bootcovers. Everything else will be brand new. She is one the most fun characters to cosplay and I definitely am not ready to hang it up for good yet. :)

I made this Dawn costume based on Joseph Michael Linsner's "Cry for Dawn" comic book series for Dragoncon 2009, and only had the chance to wear it a couple of times so far. Since I spent so much time creating this costumes, I thought it would be nice to wear it to Anime USA 2010 just to get another wear out of it. Of course most people didn't recognize me since Dawn is an American series and I was at an Anime con, but I had fun taking photos in it anyway!
LJinto has a unique style of composition and lighting and I really loved these two shots by him.

Preview from a photoshoot with Leonard [link] at SDCC!

The costume my latex version of Black Cat from Spiderman. For SDCC I added an underbust corset to the costume to help hold the zipper up and for extra stability in wearing the suit for a long time and during a photoshoot where I had to climb, sit, recline and do action poses. Latex in public always makes me nervous as it is rubber that can tear O_o;.

I was looking through my galleries for Halloween costume ideas and remembered that I made this PVC Kimono 5 years ago!
I was invited to perform at a goth industrial club in Atlanta on New Year's Eve and the theme was Asian for the night. I had a ton of black PVC vinyl and red brocade at home so I designed and made this Kimono. The underbust corset replacing a traditional Obi was also already around, so I altered it and added the tassles and strings.

This is a simple but cute outfit that I have used for multiple promotions and events. At least 4 different models have worn this at one point. I love kimono sleeves and their double function as giant pockets.

Selina is such a iconic character and he captured her so well that I wanted to pay tribute.

I started with a base black latex suit and made the gloves with the claws, hood with the catears, and goggles. I tried to find as accurate as boots as I could, and ordered a leather whip as well.

In the future I definitely would like to do a rooftop shoot with this costume, gosh the possibilities are near endless!

Ame-Comi Wonder Woman costume made by me for Dragoncon 2010. I had some help with handling power tools in making the sword, the rest of the costume including armor was made by me. I used the figure as reference, which really came in handy when sizing pieces and figuring out details.

This shoot was done at New York Comic Con 2010 with Judith Stephens [link]

I competed in another contest lol! Truly, I did NOT mean to make two costumes in 5 weeks and enter two giant contests within 3 weeks.... but with how full my work schedule has been all year, there was only a 1 and 1/2 month break available to me where I could work on my own costumes. And all the contests I would consider entering are usually at the height of summer during my busy season, so there is no way for me to prepare anything for them.

So New York Anime Fest came at a great time and the Yume Cosplay Contest was an event with a thoughtful and generous prize from the organizers. No other US convention has been that generous to cosplayers before, and in my opinion, valued our community enough to want to put such an award forth (more often than not, costume contest winners get a certificate, that's it. Maybe sometimes donated items from dealers... I sometimes feel like certain cons don't understand HOW much work all the contestants put into their entries, and don't value Cosplay as an entity enough to put more effort/budget into their contests.) The Yume Prize however means a paid vacation to Japan, Invitation to attend Tokyo Anime Faire and $1000 shopping spree in Tokyo.

I hadn't competed at an anime con for 7 years prior to this past weekend but I was intrigued and welcomed the challenge of creating something worthy of such a contest.

My friend Klytaemnestra (Anna) and I chose Vampire Hunter D and we made our respective Carmilla and Charlotte costumes within a month and a half. Amazingly, we were chosen as the winners of the Yume contest.

I am off to another con right now (Realmscon, Corpus Christy, TX) so I don't have time to make a real construction report right now, but I answered a lot of questions for www.girlsentertainmentnetwork.com and they put up an article of our NYAF Yume experience. It has lots of info and more photos/videos from the contest.

I'm excited to announce the release of my new 2015 Limited Edition calendar!!!

yayahan.bigcartel.com/product/…

I simply can't contain my excitement anymore, as the calendars are at the printers right now!

This is my 3rd annual calendar, and I worked super hard on it between Heroes of Cosplay filming, traveling, cons, my comic book... Just... a lot has happened in 2014 already, and it was very important to me to keep up the production quality and elegant look of the 2015 calendar!

This one is being printed on thicker paper, and of course all of the images are exclusive to the calendar, meaning you will not find them as prints anywhere. I pay all of my photographers, graphic designer, and printer, so this is really a self-produced project coming directly from me to you. Most of the photos in the calendar were shot specifically for it, too!

And the first 300 orders will receive a Bonus print of my Heartseeker Ashe cosplay FOR FREE! You guys bowled me over with Heartseeker print requests since I debuted the costume, so I wanted the first print to be a gift and Thank You for all the support you've given me!

And of course, as always, shipping within the USA is FREE, and I will also gladly ship anywhere in the world.

Shoot date October 26th 2008

I made a Heavy Metal/Luis Royo inspired fantasy costume for a river shoot with Kevin Stewart and Brian Boling. We were channeling the Greek War Goddess Enyo.
In Atlanta in late October it was already freezing and I braved waist deep water this skin bearing outfit lol.

I really like this portrait Brian snapped at the end... maybe I look so pissed because I was frozen and ready to change XD?

The collar was made by Brian also, while I hand crafted the accessories like the hair pieces and gauntlets.

Shoot date was January 2006

I made this costume just for fun. I grew up on reading Chinese myth novels, and am a big fan of Chinese and Hong Kong Martial Art movies and TV shows. The women always look so beautiful, feminine yet could kick ass in a second! And their outfits were always so glam.
This shoot was inspired by all of the above... I even tried to do my make up based on the movies I've seen.
