Who am I?My life has become a haze
And I have forgotten my namesake
Who am I in the darkest hours of the day?
There's a little girl who walks down the road
Making mistakes I try to correct
And she looks too much like me
A little boy watches her go
He laughs at her
But in the end, there's nothing left of him
Who are you in the darkest hours of the day?

Splattered across your lips
Your eyes are painted in green
The witch eyes of a queen
Empty black pupils
Your hand is painted with soft cream
Nails the color of your soul
Your body is painted with black lace
Curling over curves
In a lonely dying embrace
Your soul is painted in ribbons
Of your hopes and dreams
Of all the fallen

But they might as well be.
They're my baby brothers, my own monkeys.

My father once told me that life is supposed to be a struggle
And that everyone has their own specific type of hustle.
Whether it be working in an office or stacking products on a shelf.
Naturally we all share the same aim of accumulating wealth.
He also told me that nothing is promised in this life time.
When you least expect it the man upstairs will throw you a life line.
Something or someone that will give you a reason to continue.
Awaken the hidden belief and talent that law dormant within you.
He then told me that happiness and success are short lived.
In time your name will both appear and disappear from life's shortlist.
At some point you will feel like the whole world is against you.
No matter what you do some people will just always resent you.
Accept their venomously kind words but never take them to heart.
The show must go on and no one else but you can play your part.
Lastly he said that you must find a balance between work and leisure

He trapped me in leather, smothered me till I died. Threw my body
in the trash, never even cried. Left me there to rot, left me
for the rats. Skin pallid, limbs limp, eyes as black as bats.
He left then, and somehow I returned. Crawled through the wreckage,
void of all concern. Eyes were black and lips were cracked. I
wandered like a lifeless doll, feeling I'd been smacked.
He never returned, never said sorry. Left me in the dark at the

Holding you in my arms,
Feels like a happy ever after.
Spending the whole day together,
Ignoring hatred chatter.
Knowing we're both crazy,
Madder than the hatter.
Making tons of jokes,
And having fun.

The vile monsters that kept me alive
Left me to hope for a place below
When I no longer see this world outside
Because in the ground I reside
I cling to the stone all cold and grey
Makes me think of younger day
Wishing to visit that place
When I would laugh and sing
My throat's aching
I'm choking on all the thoughts
I wish they'd go away
So in this pit I wouldn't stay
The mist of night has settled in
Words of past come lumbering in
All creatures of the dark
Come to me feed on me
Putting me in icy grasp
Until my life, I no longer clasp
And finally I drift off to bed
All torture of this world
No longer suffering in my head

I watch the fire that cannot keep,
So I fall into a long, deep sleep.
I watch my icy dreams float away,

An unpleasant feeling you may think
The feeling cannot be described in only ink
It can come and go in just a blink
It would be the bitter taste if life would be a drink
It's what gets us down
It's what leaves us with a frown
Sometimes makes us want to leave town
And sometimes makes us want ourselves to drown
It sure isn't much fun
We always want it to be over and done
We can't make it undone
Pain, is a measurement of will power
Recovering from pain may take more than an hour
But in the end you will blossom like a flower

Everything and everyone you knew becomes obsolete.
Suddenly nothing's there except for the next rhyme.
But still, there's a spark and it sweeps you off your feet.
It terrifies you, you've never felt this have you?
You'll be fine though, the shock'll wear off soon.
Lightening strikes you speechless.
It shapes your every movement.
You step forward to reach it.
But it beats your subtle improvement.
Explosions roar inside your heart.
Everything is based on this, and it's pulling you apart.
Maybe this is the end.
But for me it's just beginning.
Because love I'll have to defend.
And I'm adamant on winning.

I long to be with her.
She'll teach my heart just how to see,
I'll be her perfect sir.
I'll learn of love in her embrace,
And then succumb to her sweet grace,
I'll learn of love,
I'll learn of love,
I'll see the love upon her face,
Oh, carefree, carefree, carefree.
Carefree, carefree, I do foresee
A lifetime at her side.
And in my heart, so much new glee,
I feel I must have died.
I'll fight no more for I am caught,
See me now, a Gordian knot,
I'll fight no more,
I'll fight no more,
What more have I to give to thought?
Oh, carefree, carefree, carefree.
To be carefree, it is my dream,
And fight this war no more.
I see her face, her eyes do gleam
As if a song of yore.
I'll take my shield; 'tis her I love,
Now I know who I dream of,
I'll take my shield,
I'll take my shield,
And with my might, I'll guard my dove,
Oh, to be, to be, carefree.

My introduction is about a girl
Or maybe it's a boy's beginning
Of how they grew to be
Into something horrendous
So stay tuned
Because introductions last forever
Since we always discover new things

as missing, as unfinished, as incomplete.
She used to think she was complete, accomplished;
her flaws hidden, her heart healed and soul varnished.
Her Creator had made her independent -
she did not need her "other half" to be whole.
When he left, a cold hand wrapped around her heart;
she ached, trapped under the weight of missing him.
She craved his presence, his arms around her waist,
his hands in her hair, his eyes locked on to hers.
She realized she'd simply been fooling herself -
He was her "other half", a 'yin' to her 'yang'.
She had never thought of herself as broken,
until feeling broken was all she had left.
