While these are not the best photos I have taken, they are interesting and photomanipulators can adjust.

This is from the collection of the Maryhill Museum. The items were donated to Samuel Hill, a railroad magnate, by Her Majesty, Queen Marie of Romania in 1926.

Maryhill Museum writes:
"Replica by Falize of Paris 1923
The present whereabouts of Queen Marie's original crown, made of Transylvania gold and worn in 1922 during her Coronation ceremonies at Alba Julia, Roumania, is unknown. An exact copy ws commissioned on year later from the Falize brothers of Paris, the distinguised French jeweleres and glodsmiths who had created te original crown. This surviving replica differs only in being made of silver-gilt."

"'I want nothing modern that another Queen may have. Let mine be all medieval,' wrote Marie before her Coronation. The crown, based on designs for ancient Byzantine royal headpieces, is set with amethysts, turquoise, rubies, peridot and moonstones, all chosen by Queen Marie for their symbolic connotations. The base of the crown and the chains hanging from the ear pendants are decorated with grains of wheat, symbols of fertility and of Roumania. The cross on the top of the crown became a personal symbol: Queen Marie is said to have found a cross of that shape in the earth where her horse mysteriously fell three times."
