LITERATURE ROADTRIP SIGN UPS CLOSED!EDIT:LITERATURE ROADTRIP SIGN UPS CLOSED!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Yes, sign-ups for Literature Roadtrip 2.0 are now closed. There are so many of you, and I am so happy because of this. (Though this does mean it will be more difficult to choose for the first three days! Ah!) But I look forward to travelling around deviantART and discovering some amazing literature. I will be spending the next few days narrowing down everything. A timetable will be posted on January 9th. And everyone will receive their list of deviants around the same time, as well as some more information, through notes/messages.
Get excited fellow deviants!
Yes, you are correct, I am hosting another 'Literature Roadtrip'!
Back in June 2013 I created the first ever 'Literature Roadtrip'. I have had a number of requests to do another one, and have finally found the time to host it. However,

DeviantART Compliments #88pulbern, the forums on dA, as well as dA in general, and my dA experience in particular, would be a lot poorer without having you as a comrade and a friend. puddlefisher, you've 'gone through a lot', as they say, and so for you to maintain the dominant, and friendly, and inspiring, and warm presence that you do here on dA, is nothing short of remarkable. I'm proud to know you! All the best.
RhynWilliams, what can't I say about your artworks that I've not already said? Well, let me skip to you - as an individual you're one of the most interesting people I've met - you have a fundamental sense of decency and a charitable attitude. More power to you.
scarletwave, you never fail to make me smile! I love your Muro comments so - you're my favourite Muro artiste. It's a pleasure to know you.

Show love, everyone! It's a beautiful thing.Soooo, I have a journal idea I think everyone will love. I want people to comment on this journal with people they love! Pretty easy, right? Mention/tag (Whatever term you wanna use. ) people that you love for whatever reason! And if you'd like, add a small (Or large! ) blurb why! Here, I'll start!Show love, everyone! WeirdAndLovely, because she's the most beautiful girl on the planet to me. She's smart, witty, charming, and I'm so glad she's my girlfriend. She's a brilliant artist and I love her so damn much.
SpriteBlayde, because Kelsy is my longest (and best) friend. She's been here for me through thick and thin, when so many people have come, gone, tried to come back and left again, she's been the constant for me for two years. And I couldn't be more grateful for that. She's my sister!
A-Lovely-Anxiety, because she's my favorite 49er. So brilliant, beautiful, intelligent, and a wonderful sister of mine. We'll always be southern 49ers
job interviewwell it looks like i'm gonna gear up for a job interview this monday-tuesday as it seems. It's for a post in an insurance company as a desk help personnel, it's a stable job, work hours from 9-4, good pay. i won't complain really, i won't mind the income, i can get myself a tablet this way, and maybe upgrade my junk phone into something that's actually decent.
Sooo wish me luck, i hope i'll get it and i won't get an anxiety attack in the middle of the interview because do you know how stressful it is for me to sit in a group that includes more than 5 people at a time? i tend to just shut down entirely and put a smile on my face and nod T_T
in other news, we might be getting a husky puppy too, one of our friends offered us one. now i just have to convince sis to actually get it and stop being skeptical >.> i want the puppy!

Can you believe it? Can you actually believe it?! Literature Roadtrip 2.0 is officially here - well tomorrow anyway. But I am excited to announce that this is the official timetable! It was incredibly hard to choose who to have in the first three days, but I am very happy with my decision. I was unable to have every deviant suggested on the last day, so I choose those who were suggested the most. I hope you guys enjoy the trip and if you have any questions/have a problem with my decision/wondering why you weren't chosen/want to chat send me a message, I'm always willing to help you out!

I'm posting about it before I even start, so that you lovely people can guilt me into keeping to my deadlines. SO. Within twenty-four hours I will have the first of these up, and we can go from there. I'll update this journal with links to each day as I complete them.
Do link me to your versions if you decide to take on the challenge as well!

How to Write Helpful Critiques/ FeedbackNow that I have been looking at several literature pieces a week, there aren't a whole lot of comments that provide the writers with feedback. So here's a guide that I thought might be useful for some people on how to provide helpful feedback and critiques. How to Write Helpful Critiques/ Feedback7 months ago in Literature Features More Like This
Before I begin, I would like to say that I have been a part of a wonderful writing group for the past four years. The writing club is where I first learned how to do a critique. I have also been taught some critique techniques during my college studies. In addition to the writing club and college classes, I have been doing my best to leave helpful feedback and critiques here on deviantART. This guide is based entirely off of my personal experience. As I think of more tips, I will be editing this guide.
Make sure to respond to any questions they have asked in the artist's descriptions.
Be sure to find out how experienced they are a

I've been thinkin' about this idea for AGES and now...I think I can make this happen. :iconfingerscrossedplz: These are the list of wonderful deviants who are gonna join me on this super collabo'. <3 If you guys want in, comment here, on my latest poll or note me. At midnight I'll post another poll on the topic and we'll all vote on it, then I'll note all of you guys and we can get started. There's absolutely NO deadline, but I'd really love for this to be finished by the end of the year. Sound doable, right?
Please! Don't be intimidated or anything, I want a ton of people to join in, so don't hesitate if you want to write with us. I think it'd be so amazingly fun for everyone. Creating art and sharing it with the world of deviantART. Sounds pretty epic to me! In my mind, I wanted ALL of us to write on one topic and make it our own with only a few short stanzas. (

Literature Roadtrip: Day 1Literature Roadtrip: Day 11 year ago in Personal More Like This
The first day of the Literature Roadtrip 2.0 was incredible. I had a lot of fun travelling around three different profiles and exploring the pieces of literature that I had not had the pleasure of reading. The three beautiful deviants that I visited today are extremely talented individuals, and I urge you all to go over to their profiles and check out their galleries as you will not be disappointed. Give them a comment, a favourite, a shout out, anything. Please!
The moment that I opened up her gallery, I was amazed. Her talent is astounding, her work is inspiring and she has probably become my favourite writer on deviantART.

Literature Roadtrip Contest Winners Announced! And with the Literature Roadtrip over and the contest closed, I am now able to officially announce the winners. This was an incredibly difficult decision to make, as all of the entires were beautifully written and all of you who entered are fantastically talented. I want to say a huge Congratulations! to the wonderful ieatrosepetals for winning the contest. I read that you found your piece to be a bit 'rough' and 'raw'. And whilst it may be those things (only somewhat. I mean I think you are being a bit hard on yourself!) your piece is emotional, honest and very relatable. I really liked it.
Lastly, I would like to say Congratulations to everyone! You all did a wonderful job
