DA racism part IISo, I've been having fun calling out more DA nazi-fanboys and one of them accuses me - I shit you not - of lacking "honor" for reporting him. Being a coward, like they all always are, he blocked me in a huff after leaving a final response, but I've prepared a reply nonetheless: http://bogleech.tumblr.com/post/36174211916/so-the-da-nazi-guy-finally-blocked-me-but-only
This, by the way, is the forum he and some of his pals a proud member of: http://vnnforum.com/
I don't think people realize how serious a problem these types are. They're tolerated all over DA under the notion that what they choose to believe and express deserves the same freedom as what everyone else believes and expresses, which is like saying that a murderer or a rapist deserve to be "tolerated" for their own cruel and harmful choices.
These people whine that they're being oppressed, that they're being met with intolerance, that their rights are being infringed when they're silenced, as if it somehow doesn't matter that

Some of you, even some of my best friends, disagree with most or all of the following list and still identify yourselves as "republicans" or "conservatives." I just have to ask why? Why keep clinging to labels so inexorably entrenched in discrimination, willful ignorance and outrageous displays of villainy straight out of a derivative cartoon? The majority of so-called "right wing" Americans, including virtually all of those with any political or social power, very vocally hold at least one of the following sentiments. I've included links to a few, in case you start to doubt that real people could ever actually say things like these:
-The poor become poor and remain poor most often by their own ineptitude. http://thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/newt-gingrich-poor-children-are-as-lazy-as-their-welfare-grabbing-pare

Meanwhile, record numbers of people are choosing not to vaccinate their children, convinced that vaccines either do little to help or are even responsible for rising frequencies of autism.
You may have also noticed my back-and-forth with someone who actually believes that the whole of human industry and technology - which has changed our planet more severely than any natural process ever documented - has no noticeable impact on atmospheric conditions and climate as a whole.
What do all of these things have in common?
They're all symptoms of the same petty defiance disorder and gross misunderstanding of the scientific world.
The average person has positively no clue what the very word "science" truly even stands for, what "scientific community" refers to, how peer review works, how research is conducted, h

Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein and The Last Man all the way back in the 1800's, effectively inventing our modern concept of "mad science" and the "post apocalypse" subgenre, respectively. It was her success that sparked an explosion of fantastical literature with scientific and technological themes, later dubbed "science fiction."
Later, Charlotte Perkins Gilman's wildly successful "The Yellow Wallpaper," hailed as a groundbreaking work of feminism, sparked its own wave of "weird horror" and is cited by H.P. Lovecraft as one of his biggest inspirations, his very writing style practically lifted from Gilman's.
The trends kicked off by Mary Shelley and her imitators eventually grew directly into the pulp science fiction boom of the 1930's, and a great deal of those authors were also women. Nobody kn
Sonic Generations RantThis is kinda gonna sound bitter because it's an issue with the video game industry that i've been frustrated with for the past decade now, and it's only become supercharged since the Wii came out. The Importance of Optimization
I really think 3rd party developers are being lazy. When the Wii first came out a lot of 3rd party developers slapped some half-assed party games together and then proceeded to complain that they weren't selling (Gee, I wonder why?). 3 years later when they finally made "hardcore" Wii titles, they didn't advertise the games and then complained that they weren't selling. Frequently they even skip games for the Wii because they can't seem to figure out that HD only refers to screen resolution not graphical limitations.
Case in point, Sonic Generations. I was actually really looking forward to this game. From all reports, Sega finally took what we've been telling them to do for the past 15 years and did
'Thugs and criminals'Some people, even some people we all know and love here on the Deviantarts, have described some recent events as "criminals" and "thugs" getting what they "deserve." They refer, of course, to the widely discussed issue of American police repeatedly killing black men.'Thugs and criminals'4 months ago in Personal More Like This
Let's look at some of these "criminals" and what they did to "deserve" being shot to death, shall we?
-Trayvon Martin was unarmed, had no history of violence, and was walking home with snacks. We have no evidence that he threatened or harmed George Zimmerman except for Zimmerman's own claims, which occured after Zimmerman defied 911 operators and continued to stalk and harass this boy he did not know, who exhibited no criminal activity. Zimmerman, meanwhile, has a history of violence and domestic abuse, including threatening an ex wife with a gun.
-No evidence demonstrates that Mike Brown commited a crime.
Devious Journal EntryIf you believe "men's rights" are a legitimate movement, that men suffer any sort of oppression or discrimination comparable to that of women and that feminism does more harm than good or is some sort of evil anti-man movement, please don't fucking follow me, comment on anything I make, or message me because you're fucking garbage. The media hasn't emphasized hard enough that the "MRA" movement is the driving force behind Elliot Rodger. He didn't kill because he was "mentally ill," he killed because he felt entitled to sex and resented both women for not worshiping him and men for "stealing" women he believed were rightfully his.Devious Journal Entry1 year ago in Personal More Like This
That is the logical conclusion of the "men's rights" mantra. That is what it teaches people. Every single person who identifies as an anti-feminist men's activist contributes to the subculture that created him and was already responsible for innumerable cases of rape.
People with "mental disorders" are not actually more likely to commit crimes. At all. They ne
The Inherent Degeneracy of GamergateIn a world where unarmed, innocent people are murdered freely by authority figures, slavery is at an all-time high, someone opens fire on an American school almost every month and people die from inadequate, needlessly overpriced health care, some people think the biggest and most upsetting issue in our society is about video game opinions. The Inherent Degeneracy of Gamergate6 months ago in Personal More Like This
And, unfortunately, these people create a serious issue. Despite the fact that they rally around a fundamentally trivial and pointless cause, their furious and aimless harassment of others has become something worth talking about.
If you ask a Gamergater, they'll tell you that their fight is over "dishonesty in journalism." That's a pretty big fight. Journalistic bias has convinced Americans that climate change might not even be happening, that minorities commit more crime than whites and that we actually have any reason to be dropping bombs on the Middle East. Mainstream media is a clusterfuck of biases and sensationali-wait, what's that? Ga

Do not think "I will never be this good".
Instead, think "New goal: I will strive to become this good".
You will NOT become as good as you want to be in an instant. It may take you years upon years to become comfortable with your art. But you will make it; as long as you strive for goals, practice, improve, break out of your personal barriers, try new things, and most important of all: be patient, and never ever give up.
But on the other side of the coin: when you do feel comfortable with your style, you are NOT done. Do not stop improving. Strive for higher and higher goals.
SO NEVER GIVE UP.
So long as you have faith in yourself and patience, there isn't anything you can't do.
This is the mentality that fuels my art spirit. I want you all to think the same.
Why 'reality is liberal'A lot of crazier people in America are thoroughly convinced that there's a "liberal bias" in the media. Because our news and entertainment is filled with cultural diversity, secularism, environmentalism, a growing acceptance of diverse sexual orientations and other things certain people just don't like, the only conclusion that makes sense in their mind is that there's a "bias" going on. That a small number of "liberals" happen to control the media industry and deliberately insert these attitudes to brainwash the public towards their agenda. Why 'reality is liberal'2 years ago in Personal More Like This
If anything, however, the media falls quite a bit behind the progress of the American public as a whole. Sexism, homophobia, racism and xenophobia are less evident now in our media than they were decades ago, but still a constant underlying presence, especially the way corporate sponsors still control a great deal of content and choose to appeal to the lowest, safest common denominator.

You cannot transfer your collection of UMD based PSP games to the Vita.
If you want to play the games you already bought for the PSP you must rebuy them.
You have to buy an expensive proprietary memory card if you want to save anything.
Without an expensive proprietary memory card, many Vita games can't be played at all.
The battery life for the Vita is worse than the 3DS's.
Downloaded games are only about 10% cheaper than the same retail version.
AT&T is the service carrier for the Vita.
The cheapest phone plan only nets you 250mb a month.
The device has already been hacked.
The cheapest you can get a Vita (while getting the smallest memory card and cheapest monthly data plan) is roughly $295. If you actually want to get an enjoyable experience out of the device the most expensive that you'd have to pay (including the most expensive memory card and data plans) is $480. (trigger warning. that's all i can give you since there's no blacklist system built into dA, so just a heads up.)
I just wanted to say that being on deviantart has taught me that the artist community cares a whole lot more about copyright laws than they do, say: rape, hate speech, the well-being of children, uh, being a good person, etc. and it's bothersome to me to see these ever-present delusions within the community. I've been on this site for a little while (Since 2006) and I've seen the same thing going on for years. Where this gross sense of entitlement comes from, I don't really know. I'm guessing it's just something that continuously feeds unto itself. There are few things that deviantart users care more passionately about than art theft.
Example. I recently had someone tell me that they were leaving dA for furaffinity because of the whole Realitysquared tracing debacle (which was the dumbest shit I've ever

Well... First I feel and I want to explain WHY RD has been well... dead for some time now. Well, I am not gonna sugarcoat it. I was honestly growing tired of it. I wasn't happy with it and it made me not want to continue it. And then people bugging me to continue it made me want to continue it even less! To make it short, I was not happy how the story and characters were at the moment and some impatient readers caused me to lose the interest and love for the series I used to have.
BUT! I am not stopping. I love these characters and there are still way more great and supportive readers than inpatient and demanding ones. But... For me to continue the series... I really have to clean the table and pretty much give RD a complete makeover. A new start.

Despite the fact that he himself accepts evolutionary science, his obsessive, stalking hatred of me is more important to him than education. I guess that goes without saying for someone who will make up anything they can to convince innocent kids to deny how climate works at even its most basic level.
So, I'm going to finally just copy/paste what I said to her here, in the off chance that maybe it will actually help somebody.

1. What does your Deviantart name mean and why?
I just recently changed it and I already revealed the meaning behind the old one so let's talk about this one. Obviously after my persona *coughfursonacough* . I didn't want to use just the word monkey (plus, MonkeyFrog" was already taken) so I chose a monkey species. Tamarin sounded cute so I went with it. Frog, is frog.
2. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined and what are you into now?
Pokemon, Nintendo in general... Uu! The Nightmare before chirstmas was a big thing back then but I don't draw fan art anymore. I still love it. Today, pokemon is still a big thing. I'd love to do more general Nintendo art again. I miss Ice climbers...
3. How many watchers do you have now?

I vaguely remember surfing this website when I was young. I was a bit internet shy so I never ever thought about submitting my own art! (and how happy I am about that because oh boy if you guys had to see my 13-14 stuff! HOHOH) No, I settled for browsing through other people's art and just showing my art and comics to my little cousin.
Eventually I started to feel that I might wanted to get more active in the internets. My first real internet account was my youtube account. At the time, I was a huge The Nightmare before christmas fan. I spent a lot of time looking for videos of it. And I can't exactly remember how I we met, but I met Sony-Shock through youtube. Ah! It was so amazing to find
Known Stereotypes of commonly Drawn PokemonGiven how submissions as of late have been almost constantly rejected because they simply do not defy stereotypes at all, I believe I should attempt to assist members in explaining what does and does not belong in our group by listing some stereotypes that many commonly depicted pokemon exhibit and explaining (hopefully in better detail) how one might avoid submitting work that does not defy stereotypes. I suppose one could consider this a overdue part 2 to my previous entry "Gardevoir Overload" ( http://defy-pokestereotypes.deviantart.com/journal/Gardevoir-Overload-288300040 ) in which I discuss alternatives to simple gender stereotyping and I will attempt to explain how one might defy such stereotypes (even though it should be somewhat obvious, though I'm mostly doing this for our newcomers).Known Stereotypes of commonly Drawn Pokemon3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Common Gardevoir Stereotypes:
-Almost all of them are depicted as female.
-If it's a male, it is probably homosexual.
-Laid back, peaceful, caring.

Why I am so lazy? Weelll... Maybe because I am an adult who has a daily job as a graphic artists which means that every single work day I spend over 7 hours in front of a computer doing graphics. And when I finally get home and I have done some food, took care of my pets, had some exercise, maybe take a shover and or clean up my house, I have maybe about 4-5 hours for myself. MAYBE, just maybe I am tired after a full day of drawing and I don't feel like spending those few hours doing the same exact thing I do at work. (and making RD comics takes about 7-10 hours).
And oh yes! What about weekends?! I could easily spent all THAT time to draw comics! Well guess what. I am a human being. I have friends. I have a family. Sometimes I have plans with them. A

Not ALL BlankI started seeing the “not all ___” retort when it came to feminism. The response was “not ALL men,” usually as an argument to derail any discussion about how badly women are generally treated by the male gender. Since then, the phrase has started to apply to pretty much ANY sub culture/group. “Not ALL Bronies,” “Not ALL gamers,” “Not ALL comic artists” etc, etc. And most recently I saw it when I stated that I didn’t like 4chan because of how vile and vitriolic the website generally is. “Not ALL 4channers” is the gist of the argument. And I think this nonsense needs to stop. Not ALL Blank1 year ago in Personal More Like This

So, here's ten of the things I hear most often about vaccines, why they're wrong, and some relevant links.
"There's MERCURY in them!"
The claim that vaccines are dangerous because they "contain mercury" is a deliberate misunderstanding of chemistry designed to mislead the public.
Mercury is an element in the organic compound, thimerosal, in much the same way that deadly, toxic chlorine is an element in the compound sodium-chloride, otherwise known as salt - the same salt you put on your food.
Raw elements can be dangerous in their pure form, but help build entirely harmless and even strictly beneficial compounds.
Thimerosal is used as a preservative agent preventing a vaccine from becoming contaminat
