Twilight Sparkle analyses muffins on her desk. Measuring each out for weight and height. She records her findings, only to find one muffin missing.
Twilight: "Spike, did you see the muffin I had on the desk?"
Cut to Spike, visibly having something in his mouth.
Twilight: "Spike. Did you eat that muffin?"
Twilight: "Oh, Spike. I needed that for my very delicate research!"
Spike: "And I needed that as my very delicate dessert! Why are you doing research on muffins anyway?"
Twilight: "These aren't just ordinary muffins, Spike. These are muffins from Sugarcube Corner. I'm trying to find out what makes them so very delicious among ponies in Ponyville."
Spike: "Why don't you just ask the Cakes, or Pinkie Pie?"
Twilight: "I'm sure the Cakes have some secret famil

Princess Pupa was sat in her chair outside in the gardens, placed right underneath a tall, beautiful cherry blossom tree and overlooking the ornamental koi pond. She was dressed up in a soft lilac kimono and a thick, warm blanket placed over her forelegs. One of her younger nannies knelt behind her chair, using her horn to levitate and brush her gossamer mane.
The princess felt very gloomy that day. She didn't like her mother's dacha, not this one all the way in the east of the kingdom. There was nothing outside but trees and mountains scraping the skies. She wanted so badly to go back to their grand palace in the enormous capital where the gardens were much more beautiful than this one, complete with a grand exotic menagerie, but her nannies told her it was "too dangerous" there right now and her mother "had important things to do".
She didn't care. She and her family had been at the dacha for days with a lot of other well-groomed Changelings in darker, muted kimonos.
PW: It's EnoughShe who is completely unaware of my stare sits silently in that same chair. As I study the curve of her neck, the tilt of her head, the way her fingers caress the spine of the book in her hand, I realise it is the same routine I continue to indulge in every time she sits in that spot. Under my fingertips, the wood of my desk is familiar, comforting. Nothing like what she does to me. When she's near, the feeling of uncertainty creeps up on me, and I find my wit slower, my tongue clumsier. Bracing my hands on the desk is all I can do to stop myself from going mad.PW: It's Enough5 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
And to all this, she is completely oblivious. To my discomfort, to my mind racing with thoughts of her, to my obvious disposition and fascination with her. Concentrated solely on the story she is reading, she licks her bottom lip and bites it slightly, much to my desire's displeasure and pleasure. Somehow, she doesn't even need to touch me to make me long for her.
How is it that someone who has delved so deep into my past

The big two-parter has arrived! And My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is kicking off with the Crystal Empire two-parter.
The first part is about Celestia giving Twilight the rather monumental test of finding a way to protect the Crystal Empire upon its mysterious return from the shadowy King Sombra (meaning shadow in Spanish).
And the second part is focuses more on Twilight finding the Crystal Heart which is key to stopping Sombra.
This two parter is easily the most visually stunning two-parter yet. Everything from movement to lighting to the absolutely gorgeous looking Crystal Empire is incredibly well-designed.
And surprisingly enough, darker as well. As in, there was more liberal use of black and shadows this time around, giving some pivotal scenes more atmosphere.
This willingness to be 'dark' just means that kids get a more well-rounded entertainment. They're gonna' have to use the potty on their own one day after all.
However, that's also the double-edge sword with Crystal Empi

Chapter 1- Kagome's Fears
It had been a mere 2 weeks ago. There wasn't a feeling of despair that didn't shroud the group of comrades in that silent, still night. Everyone had felt the grief wash over them like a violent thunderstorm, especially one young miko by the name of Kagome. She could do nothing but watch as her beloved hanyou had cradeled the dying priestess's clay body in his arms, only to have her say her goodbyes and fade to a sparkling dust as she left the world of the living forever. Kikyou's shinidamachuu had gathered around them as the woman's soul filled the air. It had been so warm. It was a feeling that Kagome would never forget. It was as if Kikyou had been touching them all, letting them know that she was finally free and not to mourn her death.
They then knew that Kikyou's suffering had finally been put to rest and she was saved, free from the pain she had known for too long. So much had happened, too much had happened, and Kagome couldn't even begin to fathom what

"Uuuugh we've been walking and walking and walking all day!" complained the young fox youkai, lowering his arms low to the ground in mock exhaustion allowing his small hands to drag the forest path, leaving behind a small set of twin trails behind him. "I'm tired and I'm getting hungry! Can we pleeeeeeeeease stop for a rest!?"
Beside him was a young woman with long, raven hair of waves; big, bright shining eyes and a sweet smile that always seemed to be on her face. She was literally the picture of kindness. She wore a small, pleated green skirt, white knee-high socks, a white, long-sleeved shirt with a red tie and green around the collar. One white stripe wound it's way around the collar. Her name was Kagome Higurashi and she was a miko, a priestess who possessed special, spiritual powers. Slung over her should was a bow and a quiver of arrows which she used in times of great need. Kagome had discovered that she herself was a reincarnation of the former protector of the Shikon no Tama

It would appear that our young niece, Cadance, is visiting Canterlot Castle. She has asked me to read several scary bedtime stories, much to Luna's dismay. Although I usually respect the wishes of my little sister, consider this her punishment for sneaking a bite of my cake and refusing to admit her guilt.
But I really didn't do it!
Don't lie to me Luna! I would've shared it with you if you have only asked. Now, without further ado, I present to you:
"Celestia's Chilling Tales"
Our first story of the night is about a certain gray mailmare in Ponyville. Her name was Derpy Hooves and was a very diligent member of the post office. The mail she dutifully delivers everyday maintains order in all of Equestria. One fateful day, she mysteriously vanished, leaving nothing behind but a muffin. What happened to her, you ask? Well, this is the story of:
Derpy and the Cursed Muffin

Inuyasha wasn't the type of being who would get hurt feelings or upset about things, quite the contrary. He was an extremly tough, strong man, always having the will to battle on. He never gave up a fight and he never stopped fighting, especially when it came to protecting his friends and the people he cared about more than anything. He wasn't the type to show his emotions either. The hanyou always kept a stern, cold exterior about most things, but when it came to a certain person it was sometimes hard. He'd usually hide away his fears or worries and try to cover them up with what he thought was an asshole, snappy, angry attitude, but that one woman could see right through him and he knew that, try as he might not to believe it. The light was nearly blinding him as his golden eyes slowly fluttered opened. There were shapes above him and his head was h

Drizzilla curled up grumpily in her chair at her family's table outside the café under the large lemon coloured parasol, snuggled into another of her fluffy coats, a thick black one and frumpy stockings. The air was cold and biting again and the polluted air was still shrouding the sun, sucking the brightness and colour out of the town.
Her parents were in the middle of bickering for the umpteenth time that day. She did not really listen to it, for she was busy in her own little world, but picked up snippets.
"Fleetfoot cheated! He always cheats! He made me look like an idiot!"
"Oh, just admit it, Soarin'! You-"
Drizzilla felt her left foreleg shiver and tucked it against her belly for warmth. She had put on double layers today, it did not make sense. The weather did not exactly help. She loved the winter for its delicate beauty, but needed the warmth of the summer sun to feel comfortable, and right now, she could really do with

Spring was on the horizon for Ponyville. Winter was approaching its end, soon to be marked by the annual and traditional 'Winter Wrap-Up' and the sun was once again shining brightly across the land well, as much as it could through the thick clouds and smog that were forming a thin grey blanket over the city.
The vile stuff was being churned out by the continuously passing trains travelling to, from and through the town along the several new lines of tracks that came together like one big artery. That and from the towering chimneys of the dozens of factories that were popping up around the area like mushrooms. In fact, it was not just the sky that appeared to be affected; the greenery of the landscape surrounding the town had turned a slightly paler shade of green and the air, once you really took notice, was starting to become bitter, especially as you trotted deeper into town.
For those of you who cannot take the hint, perh

Shining stared up at the oak door that towered above him. It was a normal door, no different than a typical door one would find inside a house. But given the contents stored away behind it, it had an unusually grand feel to it, and Shining couldn't help but feel dwarfed in its shadow.
The old grandfather clock down the hall let out twelve loud booms.
It was noon. The high sun's rays shone through a nearby window and across Shining's stationary, white frame. It warmed his fur while he kept his blue eyes locked on the door.
His parents always said how the attic held an eclectic assortment of things, from old music records to hardcover books that hadn't been opened since his grandparents lived in the house a decade before.
Shining imagined his deceased grandfather, the stallion with the amputated hoof and a pair of wild, yet kind, eyes. Shining imagined his still-alive grandmother, the sweet mare that would always have a batch of cookies at her house for him and

Rubble and broken glass were scattered everywhere on the floor. The front entrance to Canterlot High had now become a wide hole blasted into existence. And there was also a crater in the middle of the courtyard, right next to the statue of a horse.
Sunset Shimmer didn't know where to start cleaning up this mess. She had settled on cleaning up the fragments of glass, pushing them off to the side with the small spade she was given. The fact that it was close to midnight, and her recent experience as a demonic-being, had exhausted Sunset so much. But she knew that after 30 moons of being a jerk, she no doubt deserved it.
Her two ex-henchmen, Snips and Snails, were at the far end of the main hall, avoiding eye contact as they loaded pieces of a bulletin board into a recycling bin. Before all this, Sunset had felt superior to those two boys. Now Sunset knew that they blamed her for everything that happened.
