Another one of my Dunmer character Vydren Hlorath. This is him, "dressed" in fur only. He just got up to get a drink.... and we may assume that he is not alone.

Much much work went into this because the whole damn fur is hand painted. I had wonderful references though and photoshop is such a handy tool for getting the realistic look I want. Hair is painted as well, as always. Rest is a render, DAZ Studio 4 pro. Vydren is mine, "The Elder Scrolls" belongs to Bethesda of course.

Sooooo much work went into this, but now I am finally happy with it. I could not resist and make a full body shot of this guy since he somehow fascinated me.... the same goes for his kind, the snow elves of the Elder Scrolls lore, also known as "falmer".

Even though I already liked my very first portrait of this character, I was not very happy with how his skin came out. I tell ya - giving white skin some details is quite something! I am happy with how his his skin looks now and also I have learned new lighting tricks, that really brought him to lofe somehow... well, at least I think so.

Faenor is a Falmer / snow elf. Yes, this is a man.

His birth was a miracle actually - he was born in blackreach, born by the creatures that are known as "Falmers" and who are the mutated abominations which once used to be known as "snow elves" or "ice folk" - but this is centuries and centuries ago. Enslaved by the dwemer, poisoned and helpless, the Falmer people even outlived the Dwemer, the ones who turned them into what they are now - living in caverns and old ruins, blind and ugly, not to be seen as elves any more, having lost everything - their culture and their own country. Faenor however.... was born as a "true" snow elf, not mutated, not blind, handsome and full of questions.

Many Falmers hated him because they did not understand what he was and why one of their own kind would give birth to a creature that looks way too much like the inhabitants if the surface world. So his life was not easy and Faenor knew he was different even without seeing himself inside a mirror.

Dunmer adventurers found him inside a dwemer ruin, he was a teenage boy back at that time. They mistook the child being a captive of the evil Falmers and took him with them, up to the surface where one of them raised him as his own son. To most people Faenor is an Altmer, a high elf with a very pale skin and unusual eyes and only those who look closer and have certain knowledge about the dark past of the country might understand, what he truly is.
