I sit on a comfortable chair with a soft cushion and my hand reaches out for a glass of water which is on top of the table in front of me. The room is filled with the warm light of the fire nearby, it is warm and the atmosphere is rather comfortable.
I wait for five minutes maybe and then it knocks at the door all the sudden.
You may enter." I say and I am sure that the sensitive ears behind the closed door have heard my words. The door opens and he steps inside, his head is lowered and he looks at me with a respectful gaze, does not step any further.
Here I am as you wished."
The voice of the back-skinned man is very deep and rather scruffy, if that makes sense, it sounds very rough, as if he has had too much whiskey in his life which for sure he did not though. Also he speaks with a foreign accent which is rather strong.*
Ahhh, Socair, I am so happy you found the time to come here. Please sit down and help yourself to something to drink!"

The Tavern is full with guests on this late summer evening. It is getting dark outside already, bandsmen play their medieval melodies in the room next to the one where I sit. My table is in a corner of the room actually, from here I can overlook most of the place and watch the people drink and talk. A waitress comes to me and I order two mugs of beer one for myself and one for the guest I am inviting this evening. It was him who chose this location for meeting me and I am actually very excited for this encounter.
So I sit and wait while the pretty waitress brings the ordered beer and her two long blond braids swing when she walks away again. The music next door gets a little bit louder now and I am sure that I can hear some people dancing while a stranger is coming closer now. His movements are fast and do not seem to make any noise, he is of a normal size, not small and not very tall and also he is very slender. He wears tight leather pants of a dark brown color and a hooded bl

Socair looked around the room. One really could tell that this house was not poor for sure. Also Matron Fuara Oighear had a passion for collecting the weirdest things from pretty much everywhere. The shelves in this room were filled with little figurines, porcellain of all kind, expensive little chests and boxes, dried flowers which were very hard to find in all of Dawarda...
Socair stepped a little closer to one of the shelves now. Even though he was wearing boots that have been made out of thick leather, reaching over his knees even, he did not make a single sound when his feet hit the floor. Being a hunter for the longest time of his still rather young life, he had learned how to move in total silence.
A little purple-colored crystal in one of the higher shelves caught his attention. An amethyst

You call to me yet again
Through your moans of anguish
The contract will begin
My words will play for you
As your aggressor is destroyed
So you will find some comfort
Before you join the void
Through blade and shadow
Cloaked by Sithis' aegis
We work in the Old Ways
Austere and ageless
And the part we play
Neither white nor grays
Will be all you call for
At the end of your days

Send your children unto me
For the sins of the unworthy
Are all that I can see
Sweet mother, sweet mother
They told us lies
Called us cowards, whelps
Thieves and spies
Sweet mother, sweet mother
How long must I pray
Till your voice commands the chosen
To continue the Old Way
Sweet mother, sweet mother
I grow so weary
Could I be cursed, begging for
This fate so dreary

The angered scream seemed to rock the cavern where the Dark Brotherhood. Arnbjorn made his way to his wife's study and found her pouring over the large map near the door to their bedroom.
"We've got a problem..."
Astrid straightened at the words and her mind knew only one answer:
As she ran to get to the Night Mother's coffin, a milky eyed Bosomer stood in a daze as the Jester before her screamed and raved. She thought back to what had happened only a few long minutes ago.
"Poor Cicero. Dear Cicero. Such a humble servant..."
Her eyes flickered towards the man. Cicero was the Keeper. Of the Night Mother. The dark matron of the Brotherhood she had entered into. He had arrived a few months ago with the coffin that carried her remains and since, the family had never been the same.
Hesara had watched with a sense of detachment as she watched everything else. The man dressed as a Jester and acted like a madman. Many times he had danced around her, tryi

Volume I: Home
I know nothing of my birth parents, save that they were likely poor Khajiiti merchants wandering Tamriel. I do, however, know that I was born in 4E 185, ten years after the end of the Great War. My new family, a most generous Altmer couple, found me as a kitten at the border of Skyrim, but it's hard to say whether I was birthed here or in Cyrodiil. If I had been born in Elsweyr, at least I could call myself a proud citizen of the Aldmeri Dominion, but I am forced to choose between claiming a land of cowards, or a land of ape-like drunkards. I would sooner slit my own throat.
Whoever I was matters little anymore. Now, I am Elinwe, daughter to Lord Orynil and Lady Taalia, and it is only by the mercy of Stendarr that I did not end up in the skeeverhole known as Honorhall Orphanage. I thank Him every day for blessing me with such a cultured, wealthy family in this wasteland of Nord filth.

Kserogh is a big earth-like planet in the Mareh-System. It has three main continents and small oceans only. Unlike the earth. Kserogh is mainly covered with landmasses and does not have that much open water. The vegetation is very different, depending on the climate zone / continent and the lifeforms have adapted to those, like it is on the earth. The weather is a lot more extreme though and varies from climate that can be compared to the ice age on our own planet to deserts with unbelievable heat.
The Asaramae are spread all over the planet and adapted to every cimlate rather well.
They are humaoid lizard-like beings who give birth to their babies though while those are not lactated though.

"Where is Hecate?" Nazir asked. He was holding the list of names the Listener had given him that held the petitioners of the Night Mother. "I can't read some of her writing and I need her to decipher."
Babette and Meena had been sitting in the vampire's room, gossiping about Meena's trip to Winterhold. Nazir stood in the doorway, looking uncomfortable with walking in on the girl talk.
"That one is still sulking in her room," Meena said smugly. Her tail lashed back and forth with amusement. The Khajiit had a personal rivalry with the Listener that Hecate generally ignored. It always pleased Meena whenever Hecate was placed in a poor position.
"She's still in there?" Nazir said in disbelief. He shook his head. "This has to stop. I don't care what kind of lover's quarrel they had; it is time for Cicero and Hecate to make up." He gestured to Babette. "Babette, my girl, I trust you'll handle this."
"Me?" Babette squawked. "Why me?"

He saw them again a few weeks later. The Bee and Barb was buzzing with people - someone said there'd been a Thalmor attack in the ratway - the Thalmor he thought with disgust, couldn't keep their pointy noses out of anything these days it seemed. Amidst the chaos, Urzul gra-Jal and the big hairy Nord… Farkas? staggered into the bar.
It was the Nord who was injured this time. Urzul caught his eye straight away and he lifted an eyebrow. She nodded and waved him over to them.
"We need your help again, mage," she said softly as he approached. "Farkas can't make the stairs into the temple. Can you heal him enough to get him there?"
"Should have got Vilkas to go with you," the big man muttered as Marcurio helped the Orc sit him at a bench. Keerava gave them a disapproving look, but Marcurio was hardly going to haul the poor bastard up the stairs to a room when his life might be in the balance.
"Vilkas needs to look after the companions," Urzul said harshly. "

The city of Bravil. Scented with wood rot. Overcrowded to the point of living atop your neighbors. Home of thieves and ruffians. In all of Cyrodiil, no city sat so far down the slope of decline as Bravil.
Away from the despairing aura outside, the glow of the cozy fire rolled over the gray leather mask covering nearly his entire face. Ilshalys couldn't help but shiver as the light playing along the ridges and points made him look even more animal-like than his namesake.
"You're sure of it? All of it?" The Gray Fox, legend in the flesh, sat casually in a chair by the fire, just like he owned the place. Considering that this house belonged to Varmon Vamori, a silver-tongued Dunmer bard and guild member in his employ, it may as well be true.
"Why would I waste your time or mine?" Leaning against the wall on the opposite side of the room, Ilshalys cast an impatient eye outside. She just filled up nearly half an hour explaining to the Fox wh
Three Pieces Of Amber - Part OneThree Pieces Of Amber - Part One2 years ago in Romance More Like This
Three pieces of amber. Small, round, polished to perfection. Three golden-orange stones, shining in the sunlight, set into a band of shimmering silver. Three pieces of amber, glinting almost mockingly at the man who cradled the ring that held them in his hand.
Derkeethus gazed out over the waters of the lake, listening to the sound of the wind whispering through the branches of the golden-leafed tree that stood beside him. The silver ring felt heavy in his palm. But his heart felt a thousand times heavier within his chest.
Silently, the Argonian turned the ring over in his hand, watching the way the light flashed off the small orange stones. Something within him, some deep-seated, burning rage fuelled by grief and pain wanted to hurl the ring away from him, as far away as he could get it. He could see it in his mind; the small silver band spinning through the air, arcing away from him, shimmering in the sunlight as it fell. In his head, he heard the faint splash as it hit the water of

Or is it possible I still sleep.
Have I entered yet another dream?
If so then spare me.
The routine grows so weary.
The faces come as they always do,
Those three hypocrites who in turns strike me-
With first a hammer, next a blade, finally a metal glove.
A blinding flash, they disappear,
I stand on piles of ash.
I have a dream I'm buried in that ash.
I do not struggle, I do not move.
I try to talk but choke-
As it enters through my mouth, my throat, my lungs.
It BURNS in my nose, my ears, my eyes!
I dream that I am dying!
Then realize I already have.
Eight hands find and pull me free,
Each gripping a separate limb.
My seven brothers, my blood brothers.
Each and every stand before me!
I am filled with pride and honor!
Each and every smile at my face.
But there is another man, an eighth hand.
The hand of the friend.
The hand of the traitor.
Fear replaces pride,
as he pulls me into an embrace.
As he pulls away I ask him "why"
he merely smiles.
And slips the golden ma
Pride Comes Before the Fall“As a Thalmor Commander, it is your duty to set an example for your troops in a time of need,” The Grand Justiciar had told his student as the two made their way into a lavish temple, “Despite what you may believe, this principle surpasses all other aspects of your position.”Pride Comes Before the Fall2 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
“I don’t understand,” The new Commander turned his head to look up at the towering mer, “As a Justiciar, it was my duty, it always had been my duty, to track down those who commit heresy. I had never needed an example - you just need to get your information, and make your kill. Why is it that I must set an example now? It seems rather unnecessary, sir.”
The taller elf extended a hand, gesturing for the younger man to follow him down the corridor. Their footsteps echoed on the marble floor, and their forms cast shadows upon the sun-kissed stone. Attendants of the temple stepped out of their path as they passed, respectfully bowing their heads. As they approached

'Are you sure this will work?' I ask, fingering the rattling pill bottles through the fabric of my jacket. On my way to cross the boundary between our realm and Tamriel, I grabbed everything I could find in the cabinets and closets around my apartment, from aspirin to heartburn remedies and those mentol-scented candy-like thingies you have to keep in your mouth if you have a sore throat.
My companion, a lanky blonde elven teenager with pale, greyish skin and amethyst eyes, whirls around to face me and responds with a cheerful grin,
'Of course I'm sure! When he sees these weird alchemy reagents of yours, he will want to study them - and when he gets all grabby-handed, you'll be like, "Naw-uh! You have to answer my questions first"...'
He falls silent for a moment, mulling over some thought that has just occurred to him and chewing loudly at the tropical fruit gum I have been generously supplying him with throughout our entire journey between universes - and then adds,
'Course, he might
