Palestine: Never Before has a people suffered such an injustice,

Discussions on Palestine and the Palestinian cause have included attempts
to link it to the struggle of South Africans under the apartheid regime
the struggle of the Vietnamese people

One Family in GazaNow that a new round of slaughter has started in Gaza, I thought you might like to watch how a Palestinian family coped with the incredible horror they went through the last time the Zionist state attacked them. The so-called "Operation Cast Lead" in 2008-2009. The video was produced by Jen Marlowe, a human rights advocate, filmmaker and writer:One Family in Gaza2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Just months after the Israeli assault that killed 1,390 Palestinians, I visited Gaza. Among dozens of painful stories I heard, one family stood out. I spent several days with Kamal and Wafaa Awajah, playing with their children, sleeping in the tent they were living in, and filming their story.
Wafaa described the execution of their son, Ibrahim. As she spoke, her children played on the rubble of their destroyed home. Kamal talked about struggling to help his kids heal from trauma.
What compelled me to tell the Awajah family's story? I was moved not only by their tragedy but by the love for their children in Wafaa and Kamal's every word.

"If the media was not biased, this film would be show here so that you could then make a decision. Show them both sides of the story and then let the human being make the decision whether they want their kids there or not. Don't show me one side and say it's patriotism, it's courageous. Nothing I did in Iraq was courageous! I brought fear into people's homes. I travelled with a 50-caliber weapon every single day and slept with a pistol underneath my pillow. Tell me what is so courageous about that!" Kyle Snyder (IVAW)

Map courtesy of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
To protect itself from Hamas rockets and tunnels, Israel is forcing tens of thousands of people out of their homes, turning their old neighborhoods into a no-man’s land.
This narrow strip of land that used to be called “the Gaza Strip,” already one of the more densely populated places on Earth, is growing dramatically smaller. The Israeli military, relentlessly and methodically, is driving people out of the 3-kilometer (1.8 mile) buffer zone it says it needs to protect against Hamas rockets and tunnels. According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the buffer zone eats up about 44 percent of Gaza’s territory.
What that means on the ground is scenes of extraordinary devastation in
Israel's Warning Procedure: A Knock on the RoofPrior to striking a building in the Gaza Strip, the IDF warns its inhabitants using a procedure called "Knock on the roof," in which forces fire a small mortar at the target to indicate the imminent attack and signal those inside to flee before hitting it with full force.Israel's Warning Procedure: A Knock on the Roof7 months ago in Personal More Like This

Netanyahu's Tunnels-to-Kindergartens PropagandaOne of the most important strikes in the propaganda war for Israel in the last month was dealt by the New York Times and CNN when they ran long pieces giving credence to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s claim that Hamas was building tunnels out of Gaza aimed at kindergartens in nearby kibbutzes.Netanyahu's Tunnels-to-Kindergartens Propaganda5 months ago in Personal More Like This
Back on July 22, Netanyahu asserted – on the basis of this cartoon drawing he tweeted – that the tunnels were aimed at Israeli kindergartens:
Netanyahu tweeted this cartoon evidence on July 22, 2014
In fact (and as we reported), the only Israelis attacked from the tunnels were Israeli soldiers. But a week after Netanyahu’s statement, both the Times and CNN took the prime minister’s claim at face value. The Times’s piece, “Tunnels Lead Right to Heart of Israeli Fear” gave priority to rumors over actual informat

So I talked with my mom for a while today and she's been telling me how tired she is of the situation happening back home. She was telling me she wants to think of where her life is going when she comes to visit for the holidays. She said she wants to move in with me but she doesn't want to be a burden. She wants to be able to work and own her own place as soon as possible.
I asked her about my step Dad and what she was planning on doing about him. She told me she was going to talk to him again and see if he'd change. He hasn't worked in years and doesn't have his papers because he failed to resolve that issue when he was making good money and was able to afford getting that fixed. Now he doesn't work or want to work, doesn't want to get a lawyer to fix his papers cus he's afraid and he owes social security a lot of money, which he hasn't even attempted to pa

Oooooooo ooo ooo ooooh
Did you see the frightened ones
Did you hear the falling bombs
Did you ever wonder
Why we had to run for shelter
When the promise of a brave new world
Unfurled beneath a clear blue sky
Oooooooo ooo ooooo oooh
Did you see the frightened ones
Did you hear the falling bombs
The flames are all long gone
But the pain lingers on
Goodbye blue sky

The Iron WallAfter 1967 and the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, the aim of the settlement movement became clear -- create facts on the ground and make the creation of a Palestinian state impossible. Thirty nine years of occupation and the policy started showing results. There are now more than 200 settlements and outposts scattered throughout the West Bank blocking the geographic possibility of a contiguous Palestinian territory. The Iron Wall2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The Iron Wall documentary exposes this phenomenon and follows the timeline, size, population of the settlements, and its impact on the peace process. This film also touches on the latest project to make the settlements a permanent fact on the ground -- the wall that Israel is building in the West Bank and its impact on the Palestinian's peoples.
Settlements and related infrastructures are impacting every aspect of life for all Palestinians from land confiscation, theft of natural resources, confiscation of the basic human rights, creation of an apartheid-like system,

God almighty is my armour and sword
Palestine ... Forever !
Children being killed for throwing stones in the sky
They say to their parents don't worry, God is on our side
Mother don't worry when they come for us at night
Surely they'll be sorry when God puts them right
Tell me why they're doing what was done to them
Don't they know that God is with the oppressed and needy
Perished were the nations that ruled through tyranny
Children of Palestine are fighting for their lives
They say to their parents we know that Palestine is our right
They to say to their parents well fight for what is right
They say not to worry God is on our side
They say well die for Palestine
Palestine ... Forever !
On the Tenth Anniversary of Rachel Corrie's DeathTen years ago today American activist Rachel Corrie was killed by an Israeli Caterpillar D9 bulldozer as she tried to protect a Palestinian home from demolition in Rafah, Gaza. Her death, and selfless act of heroism, has galvanized and inspired millions worldwide in the decade since her death. On the Tenth Anniversary of Rachel Corrie's Death2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Throughout the last ten years Corrie's parents - Cindy and Craig - have been a bedrock for the Palestine solidarity movement in the U.S. They were somehow able to take their loss, their pain, and build a flourishing movement for justice and accountability, not just for Rachel but also for the people of Gaza. In August, on the eve of an Israeli court decision in the Corrie's civil lawsuit against the state of Israel, I wrote, "the persistence, strength and grace of the Corrie family has a power all its own, and has moved everyone who has had the chance to meet them." They have never exploited Rachel's death, or

I just wanted to say that I know you're going through some stuff right now, stuff that may make life a little harder or even a lot harder. I know you've felt so alone and like no one cares that you're hurting and suffering, but I just wanted to say I love you. Wherever you are, whoever you are, whatever has happened or is happening to you… you're not alone.
You are amazing, beautiful, wonderful, unique, and worth every breath of life you breathe. I love you, I need you in this world, and I wish only the best things for you. You are in my heart always, all of you. I pray that you find a peaceful end to the troubles of your life and I just want you to know that despite everything, despite feeling like no one cares… please know that I do. I may be a stranger to you but that doesn't mean I don't feel for you. You are special and so very loved by more people than you know.
I am back with sad news...My nephew was fishing and left a hook with some cheese on it. And my dog Daisy swallowed the hook.... She had to be taken to the vet in Kelowna. (That is about half an hour to about a hour away.) The vet could not take the hook out around Vernon. (Because it was to dangerous... It was in her esophagus. And if the hook either scratches or cut it she could have died...) Luckily that the vet in Kelowna took it out with out any problems.I am back with sad news...2 years ago in Personal More Like This
For those that have not seen Daisy here is a picture of her.
And my other dog Sunshine hurt her paw is now in the vet. (We bandaged her back right paw up.) But I am not sure if she is okay....
Other things that happened. Is that me my sister, my mom and my niece and nephew found 3 Black widow spiders on a kayak. (My sister's old one.) It looks kinda like this http://image.ec21.com/image/frontierkayaks/OF0019424983_1/Sell_fiberglass_kayak_Boat_Sit.jpg.
About people leaving deviantARTDon't worry, I do NOT want to leave!About people leaving deviantART1 year ago in Personal More Like This
The thing I want to talk about is that many many people leave deviantART recently. About 10 people from my watch list left in the last days. They also named some reasons, like "deviantART has become a place for ponies and boobies" or "deviantART was much better in former times, because all the new updates make dA a confusing place".
I can also refer to that more and more. It has become more unappealing to me to browse through art on deviantART, and more and more I only stick to the artists and groups I am watching. The front page with its "popular in the last ... hours" feature has become a place for, on the one hand, childish works, and on the other hand, a place for wacking-off men. Unfortunately my self-portraits are used for the second kind, since there are plenty of men who do simply register on deviantART to create collections like "boobs" or "ass" or "sexy" and add my selfies to these collections..
What I want to say is that
