"Why didn't you tell me?"
He wouldn't meet my gaze or respond.
"I'm sorry!" he blurted. "I assumed you knew!"
I snorted. "Bollocks, nobody tells me anything. Why ever would you think that my mother would tell her own daughter squat?"
We were in the attic and I had cornered him against the far wallI was fed up with not knowing and being treated like a child, and Benjamin was practically cowering from the vehemence of my ire.
"I already told you I was sorry!" he cried out. "What else do you want me to say, Sara?"
"So you're trying to tell me that during all the hours we've spent together, you never once thought to mention that Aunt Jo was trying to smuggle you out of the goddamn country? I thought we were supposed to tell each other thingscommunicate our feelings; that's what friends do! But instead you go slinking about, keeping secrets from me, just like everyone else!" I cried out.
"Believe it or not, Sara, the world does not revolve around you," he shoots b

UPDATE: THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR SO MANY VIEWS!
I love drawing my characters so my friend always picks a full cast for each of my stories based on the looks and attitudes described for each character, and I draw them. Most of my works feature the cast picked for the characters of a Young Adult novel I've just finished.
The title is "The Autumnal Equinox". It's a Fantasy/Romance story about Michael Sullivan and his girlfriend Anahita. Michael is forced to abandon the normal life he's known and make difficult choices that would change his life forever. Soon he finds himself tangled in troubles and accusations, and is dragged into the middle of an ongoing fight. And knowing Anahita is not being honest with him makes it difficult for Michael to trust her, and his feelings for her.

My Best Motivational TipWhen I become overcome with the guilt and shame and fear as a result of my constant procrastination, I have one trick to get me off my ass that works every time.My Best Motivational Tip2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Now, lots of other people and blogs and whatever are all like "look how lucky you are" and "puppies and rainbows" and "if you get it done now, you'll feel better" and lots of other positive shit. While all this stuff is true, I'm still playing Assassin's Creed II for like four hours a day. It doesn't motivate me at all. I still don't want to write a 500 word essay on the subtle differences between the book and the film adaptation of The Road that's due, like, tomorrow.
So here's what I think of.
"Michael Bay wants me to fail."
Insert your own celebrity arch nemesis if you want to, but basically choose someone so crap that it makes you angry. Preferably someone who's getting paid buckets of money to do whatever they do to piss you off.
Competitive nature and the desire to prove your chosen asshole wrong should take over.

Another sneak peek...The room was darkly lit--Ferb had mentioned that it would help ease the agony his brother was currently going through. Even the blinds over the window had been brought down. Only a few stray rays of the early February sunlight could pass through, reflecting off the few model airplanes hanging from the ceiling and the many shiny objects the boys collected.Another sneak peek...2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Linda remembered how reluctant Ferb had been to go to school that morning. He had stayed up all night, attempting to make Phineas as comfortable as possible. He had restlessness in his dark blue eyes as he left for school, and only looked back once before getting on the bus. Laurence had reassured him that Linda would be at home to care for Phineas until Ferb returned, but that did not seem to calm Ferb down very much.
To be honest... Linda did not know how she would be of any help to her son, herself. It was hard to help someone who either refused anyone but Ferb or Mitch... and it only made Linda feel even worse when Phineas woul

Pick up and hear you say "So where'd you run off, and with who?"
I make excuses just as readily as I know you do
It's just the one-night stand that I look forward to'
He rushes out the door and drives over. You're still on the phone. Lovino listens to you mutter, "It's 4 o'clock and you're no where to be found... Where did you go Looovii~?" He laughs and just tells you he'll be right over. "You're the only one for me bella. Don't worry." He sweet talks into the phone. You sigh and hang up. You were looking forward to him. Lovino always left "surprises" for you.

Cross My Heartsome Saul/Sara backstory I decided to put in.Cross My Heart2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Several hours after the fight, something happened and that I am sure ofit couldn't have been a dream, could it? I had fallen asleep at my desk in the process of looking at an old photo album; my face was pressed against the glossy pages as I slept. I had been crying, I know that for certain. But I remember the house was quiet; everyone was asleep, for it was the early hours of the morning. But then I heard the back screen door open and close, steps striding across the parlor and up the stairs. They were familiar, very much so. They stopped in the hallway, hesitant.
The voice was hardly even a whisper, though I didn't respond since I was scarcely consciousalmost asleep, but not quite. But I heard it again, and then the footsteps paused at my door. "Sara, are you awake? I need to tell you something."
I must have mumbled something incoherent, because I heard him sigh, then walk into my room.

So I'm listening to a fantastic podcast called The History of England by David Crowther, which talks about said history from the Anglo Saxons and all the way through to the Royal dynasties. I implore you to have a listen to it if you can its absolutely fascinating to listen to when working. I'm listening to it through itunes but I'm sure he'll have links on his website, which is full of insightful references to what he talks about in the show, you can check it out here: http://historyofengland.typepad.com/blog/
This guy is brilliant!!
Anyway, I was listening to an episode about the relationship between Henry II and Thomas Becket,The Archbishop of Canterbury who was Canonised after being murdered at his altar after a misunderstanding in which four Knights mistook the King's meaning when he mentioned he wished he could be rid of him. And after what Mr. Crowther enlightened me to, I don't blame him. He was a bit
Our London deviantMEET Was Brilliant! On Saturday, June 14, 2009, deviantART held a deviantMEET at the Albert Memorial in Hyde Park. Over 350 deviants showed up to celebrate all things deviantART, setting a record for the highest attended deviantMEET in history in the process... until now.Our London deviantMEET Was Brilliant!2 years ago in DeviantART Announcements More Like This
Almost exactly three years later -- on Saturday, June 30, 2012 -- at the same location in Hyde Park, London deviants once again turned up in droves. Smashing the previous record, our London deviantMEET 2012 saw over 550 deviants throughout the day.
Most deviantMEETs include a group photo, usually taken towards the end of the event's festivities. However, we wasted no time taking our group shot in front of the Albert Memorial, as we wanted to ensure we were complying with Hyde Park's rules and regulations for large gatherings. With a group this massive -- and awesome -- it's hard not to draw attention!
FRAAAAAARRGHHHHEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHH.....Man does it feel good to shed that stress!FRAAAAAARRGHHHHEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHH.....1 year ago in Personal More Like This
:iconohohoplz:, only joking. I'm still stressed, but staying off the net isn't making me healthier and nor is this giant box of jelly babies on my desk, so what the heck. I'm gonna be updating again and stressing out about Christmas, balancing other people's differences (not appreciated) and embrace the universe's keen interest of shitting on me this year. I'd change my name to PessamisticJenny, but it really doesn't have the same ring as StressedJenny, so I'll make do, because there is no easy solution and making do has really been the only thing that has kept me going this far, (says FalseOptimismJenny).
So while I was gone I had a great weekend of healing and therapy, provided by watching LAU, hanging in Bristol and Oxford and travelling around a bit. My friends have been invaluable, so to everyone who's helped me over the last two weeks and sent me flowers and cards and bought me tickets to concerts and hung and chatted, thank you. Love yo

Tutorial Showcase #8DeviantART is a great place to find not only art but also some awesome tutorials. It doesn't matter if you are interested in photo manipulation or writing, usually there is a tutorial for that. But at the same time there are so many great tutorials outside of deviantART and most deviantART users might never find them unless someone shows these tutorials to them. So I'm happy to introduce you a new journal series called "Tutorial Showcase" which features some awesome tutorials outside of deviantART. System is pretty simple. Every showcase journal showcases five tutorials from a specific category and this category changes with every new journal. There's no special placement, all of them are equal. So here we go!Tutorial Showcase #81 year ago in Art Features More Like This

GERMANYxREADERYou've been dating Germany ever since that magical night at America's house where you first kissed playing 7 minutes in heaven. Right now, you've been awakened by a loud smashing noise and a very loud,"Scheiße!"GERMANYxREADER2 years ago in Personal More Like This
You roll over in Germany's bed so your not facing the bathroom and moan tiredly. so early! You breath in deeply through your nose,"Germany?"
"What time is it?"
"ugh..." you attempt to get up, but end up slamming yourself down on the blankets again.
you lift your head up off the pillow,"I'm tired..."
"Is dat so?"
you roll over again. Germany was leaned over the sink wearing a beard of shaving cream, making a funny face in the mirror as he shaved. you giggle when Germany notices you smiling at how his cheeks are pulled back and his lips are pulled in a scrunchy sort of scowl-and to top it off, he's raising his eyebrows.
Germany drops the razor in surprise at your giggling and you burst into laughter, burying your face in the pillow.

Serif — Roman
In the last two article of the type design series we made a geometric sans serif and added italics and a bold weight. The geometric sans serif is the easiest style to do, but for me personally things really get interesting with serif typefaces. Of course there is the addition of serifs, but the structure and weight distribution is also much more advanced. In this article I will make an introduction to designing serif typefaces. This article won’t be as detailed as the previous ones because this third article serves as an expansion on the first two. In other words, I won’t get into the basic vector tools or type principles, nor will I show you how to design the letters step by step. I will explain techniques in detail when necessary, but generally I will refer to the techniques described in the first article particularly. So if necessary go back to the pre

i have always been a huge fan of art books. in fact i would say that 99 percent of my bookshelves are filled with art books ranging from animation to fashion design and everything visual in between. it was partly why i am so excited to have produced my own book, Walking Your Octopus. one of my goals with this project was to create an art book that was also an art object and this vision guided every aspect of the book's production. as we all know ebooks are becoming more and more popular and i struggled with how my book which was a celebration of all things analog might fit into the digital space. fortunately my very creative friend eric, had the solution...Aereoscope.
